I normally don’t get upset over celebrity deaths. Sure, I'll think it's sad and feel for the family's loss, but the death of Robin Williams really hit me hard. I have never cried over a strangers death like I did tonight. Not only was he one of my favourite actors but as someone who also suffers with depression when ever I was feeling down I would always turn to my favourite childhood movie 'Hook'. He made me so happy. It sucks so bad that he couldn’t find a way out of his depression, and it sucks even more that he'll never see how the world is reacting to his death. It seems as though the people that do their best to make you laugh are always the ones that are hurting the most on the inside. Rest in peace Robin, thank you for helping to make my childhood a happy one.

I am completely and utterly devastated. My whole entire life when anyone has ever asked me who my favorite actor is I have always said "Robin Williams and Jim Carey."
I woke up to 11 emails in my inbox so I went to check them and right at the top was an email from Huffington post saying "Robin Williams dies of apparent suicide." I REFUSED to believe it. It had to be a hoax. I was in complete and utter shock. Then I went onto Facebook and it was EVERYWHERE and it was stated by the articles that it was confirmed by police. My shock turned to complete and utter devastation. I have never cried more over a celebrity death in my life.
Robin Williams was (can't believe I'm talking about him in past tense ) one of those magical people who enter your life at a young age and changes the whole course of your life. I start thinking about movies he has been in that have meant something to me and have automatically thought of more. I grew up with Robin Williams. He was my childhood. Hook, Aladdin, Flubber, Jumanji, Mrs. Doubtfire.
Then as we grew up to teenagers we saw another incredible side to his acting skills. I still remember studying Dead Poets Society in school and being blown away by his incredible acting skills. Patch Adams was another movie that touched my life. One of those rare movies that is both funny and deeply moving and profound at the same time that touches the heart. The same was with Bicentennial Man. Robin was known for finding that fine balance between humor and heart warming that would stay in your mind for many years, perhaps even a lifetime.
Everyone has known my complete love for Robin Williams. Even my brother Joshua gave me Good Morning, Vietnam one birthday saying "I know how much you love Robin Williams. I thought you would like this movie."
I am not dealing with this and I guarantee there are millions around the world who feel the same way that I do. Rest in peace Robin Williams, you changed my life more than you know. You will always be my favorite actor. My thoughts and prayers go out to his friends and family.

While Good Will Hunting was a beautiful movie, I really think Dead Poets Society should've been number one. That role's his greatest, in my opinion.

Every video like this always fails to mention what I think was his greatest movie; What Dreams May Come. When I heard of his passing, I've had a very hard time watching this movie. In fact, it brings tears to my eyes every single time. My all time favorite scene and any movie I've seen is when he jumps off of Angel Falls. Absolutely beautiful from the scenery to the music.

We miss you Robin, and I hope that the world can do its best to follow your example and make others laugh, bring joy to the world even when we ourselves are going through tough times. I'm sad, very sad, but I think it would be better to celebrate you, rather than simply mourn.

    Major Complaint:
    WHERE IS JUMANJI?!
Jumanji is one of the most original movies of all time, and I thought for certain that it would be on his list. Alan Parrish is a tragic, however courageous and overcoming character, and he deserves some respect.

I grew up on cartoons like Aladdin and Bugs Bunny so I can only give parents advice to give a chance to classics.
But for Robin Williams, pure magic and a volcano of good energy is what he gave when he showed up on the screen.
I really loved him for a lot of his older roles, e.g. Sean Maguire, Malcolm Sayer, Adrian Cronauer, Peter Pan and John Keating above all. The last one can really give you powerful kick of passion. It really is necessary to watch movies like Dead Poets Society sometimes to get back on track with your life. He has a special place in my heart for making me more comfortable with that freaky part of my character through his roles.
