This was recommended to me by an Uber driver in SF on my way to a date. The date didn't go very well but I got to watch this after and it was a good night 😀
This is unlike any stand-up routine I've ever seen. Everything about it feels unscripted, totally organic, nothing but in-the-moment observation. And he never misses a beat. Such a unique talent.
it WAS unscripted. He was the only comedian I've ever seen who could get up and jokes for 90 minutes about anything that came into his head and they were all funny! I've seen this show many times and I still laughed like a loon tonight.
Princess Diana is alive! Yes, and it’s time the world begins to awaken to this Truth and so much more. Not only is our beloved Princess still with us, but so is John F. Kennedy, Jr., Carolyn Bessette Kennedy, and Lauren Bessette. There’s also a long list of celebrities and entrepreneurs including David Bowie, Elvis, Marilyn Monroe, Michael Jackson, Robin Williams, Steve Jobs, and Whitney Houston. So, how does one account for something as unbelievable as this? Well, each person named above, and those whose names haven’t been revealed yet, have their own story, and soon you’ll be learning about it. However, in the meantime, here’s the short version. Each one of these people, at one point, entered into a worldwide witness protection program. Wondering what these individuals needed protection from? It’s something the likes of which the average man or woman has never been confronted with. Although it may sound funny, each one of us will eventually have a role in the “Big Picture,” too. What is it? We need to respectfully listen to their stories and begin to understand the “as yet, unrecognized threat” that humanity has been living amongst. Bottom line is that we must give these brave people an opportunity to tell their stories and face head-on the Truths that we’ll be given in order to protect our families and ourselves now and forever more. Best way for us to complete our responsibility is to have unwavering faith in our Creator, God Eternal.

How I wish this video would be digitized. I remember seeing Robin Williams on Johnny Carson. The man was a riot! I laughed untill I cried. The talent oozes from his very pores. Patch Adams is my favorite movie by him. But his list of movies, TV shows, skits, comedy specials and everything in between is unparalleled in the comedy world. He could do it all too, but his best was his movie performances. I saw a bio on him showing backstage footage. Robin couldn’t turn his genius off when not acting. But the second he was on camera, he changed to the character like snapping a finger. It was amazing to watch. His suicide crushed me, as I’m sure millions of fans felt too. But I think how lucky I was to have lived in his imaginary world, when we respected and admired actors of his caliber. Because God only makes a man like him every so often. I will always love Robin Williams. Gone but never forgotten even through the annals of time.
My hero.. childhood idol... The day I learned that you took your life before I took mine I vowed to follow in your footsteps and be a great comedian/actor/voice impersonator. Robin, Im reaching the end of my rope. I'm breaking, I can't keep putting a smile on my face when there's so much pain weighing me down. I can't handle it, but I don't want to bring pain to anyone. I love making people laugh, but I don't know how to get out of Arkansas and make it big. I need help........ I miss you

I was at atiny improv theater off Melrose summer 1983ish. Robin Williams was in front of me watching whoever was up there and at some point he jumped up there and started being Robin Williams. It was one of my best memories.

Robin, Thank you for ALL the laughs and the tears, and the fire that burned in our souls. The world is a little bit darker and a few degrees colder now that you're gone. I pray that you are at peace. Forever. B.
What an absolute talent!! It didn't matter if you were an adult or a child He knew exactly how to make you laugh even without knowing him personally. R.i.P Robbin Williams
I keep wanting to watch the Biographics on him but I fear knowing the real pain evident in this brilliant man’s eyes. He did what a real artist is supposed to do, take their pain out and craft amazing things instead of letting it sit and fester and fester. I grew up during the 90’s when he was everywhere, Mork and Mindy was on Nick at Nite, Aladdin, Mrs Doubtfire is still a treasured movie to me, and Hook wouldn’t have been Hook without him. I tear up writing this, because people like this don’t exist anymore in this souldead world of technology today. RIP Robin ❤️
I met him around this time, he came in where I was working between summer of '81 and summer of '83. He began performing and no one asked him to. Had a private audience of me and my 5 co-workers . Really nice man
I'll say this, watch the documentary called "Robin's Wish" It's about why he did what he did. Long story short he had something called lewybody dementia. It was eroding his brain and he was going to become a vegetable very quickly so he decided that as long as he was still able to think straight that he wanted to go out on his own terms. The Robin we see on camera is the REAL Robin. At the end of the day it wasn't depression or mental illness that got to him it was a decease for which there is no cure. That's what all his friends and family wanted the world to know so they made Robin's Wish. It's free on youtube if you want to check it out.

The jokes he delivered gave people who heard them five minutes, an hour or perhaps even a day of happiness. If you count up all those moments from all those people into one great line of time, it probably adds up to thousands of years of pure joy. In whatever afterlife that exists, I hope he gets his just reward..

This was the first Robin Williams stand up I ever saw, watching it again not only makes me happy but a little sad knowing that he's gone and I'll never have the chance to meet him. I hope his legacy lives on forever. I miss that man.
I had the privilege to watch this with some good friends on HBO in 1983. We were absolutely blown away. This is the funniest, most spontaneous in the moment comedian any of us had ever seen before or since. It was epic. We laughed or asses off! Rest in peace Robin. You brought laughter to millions.
The last monologue was nearly prophetic as to the reasons for his own end. The world lost a much needed spark of wonderfully whimsical madness and laughter when he took his final bow. Now we still have madness, but a grim sort with nobody is there to help us laugh through it. Rest Easy Robin, You deserve it ❤️
Just finished watching this routine tonight. I am not ashamed to say that I shed a more than a few tears and self reflection on how someone who brought so much joy to people has left me with something to rethink about life...
Absolutely the funniest man ever! Brilliant mind off the wall adlib, doesn't really need material. We salute you and miss you, THE funny man ROBIN WILLIAMS
@@neilmenzies7193 I'm not really sure what you mean when you said he "struggled with an illness he didn't have which took his life" What does that mean? How could he struggle with something he doesn't have? and then die from that same "something he doesn't have?" Lol I'm not even trying to be funny either... is there a typo? Or am I missing something? Or?
Well he thought and was medicated for what he was diagnosed with clinical depression.. When he actually had a rare form of altziemers (that's not the correct spelling lol) did you not watch the autopsy? ✌🏻
First time I saw Robin was Mork and Mindy, in the early 70's , What an amazing guy.. How sad that he didn't want to live anymore. The world needs more like him.
“Phenomenal Cosmic Powers! Itty Bitty Living Space!”, Robin Williams was and always will be the greatest, most brilliant and most of all loved Comedian forever and all time. We'll never forget you Robin, vaya con Dios friend.
I've never been a huge fan of his comedy, to scattered and physical, however, I think he was a brilliant dramatic actor, movies like Good Will Hunting, he was absolutely world class.
This is going to sound weird, but this special just helped me get through a pretty intense dental appointment today (thanks anxiety 😂). The dentist let me listen to this with headphones while I was in the chair. What a testament to who Robin was in life though: to connect with people going through a rough time and make them laugh. I bet Heaven's a lot better with you up there Robin. Us mere mortals still love ya bunches from here!
Who's watching Robin during the 2020 COVID-19 crisis, hoping for a respite from bad news? Robin, God bless his soul, is always good for a few laughs. Sure do miss him!
One of the greatest comedians of our time. I miss him. But I'm watching this during the quarantine as well- needed some cheering up and this is doing it. ^ ^
@Ross Otto Wow. I hate you. I literally hate every fiber or your being. You're a horrible person for saying that shit. And I know you're not gonna care.... but fuck you.
More like mental instability than demons. He was an uncontrolled manic depressive that should of been on medication but his family probably knew he wouldn't be as funny without his manic episodes so he was never treated and just "monitored".
He died because his brain had a PATHOLOGY. Look up the disease “Lewy Body dementia.” Not as common as Alzheimer’s but extremely devastating. Unfortunately, it can only be detected on autopsy. He was misdiagnosed with Parkinson’s disease before he died.
@@v.gorski3050 yeah it wasn't mental instability or anything like that at least not at this point. Its like intense dementia with physical symptoms, and he was likely feeling the effects by the early 2000s. So no it wasnt because he needed mental help and people didnt let him and it built up over years, it's because he was going through what is undoubtedly one of the most horrific diseases a human can develop. Reading on this thing... It astounds me he was able to keep a smile up for so long.
We will never get over you'r passing, dearest Robin. You are forever missed and loved by all of us. Thank you for brighten up the world and for making it such a better place.. We will always love and miss you. ❤
Yes, I was thinking the same. It's strange to me because i learned early in life to deal and accept the "returning to home" for various family members died at a early age due to heart attacks. My grandma taught me. But Robin's passing was hard to accept for most people. His home and making people laugh and having a good time. 😔😁😁 Love you Robin! ❤️
In honor of my only brother who took his life same as brother robin may they forever be next to God in heaven cause the only thing this earth gave them was torture
I highly respect Robin's talent and memory. I loved his wit and quickness. The tragedy of how he left us still effects me; I have Major Depressive Disorder. I have said this many times "he could make millions laugh, but couldn't make himself laugh". What I say is not to disrespect Robin, but rather to make people fully aware of how deadly and silent a killer depression is. Rip In Peace You will not be forgotten...
I've come to the conclusion that the lord took Robin from us when he did, not just cause he needed an angel. But he knew the direction this world would turn and it was not a world for Robin's amazing heart. R.i.p. king of comedy.
Imagine His take on "The Pandemic"...I can almost hear him going off in left-field!! And can you imagine ALL of the jokes that he would've come up with (daily) after Trump's collosic fails on those afternoon addresses "to the people"...LOL, sometimes it was all that I could do to keep from peeing my pants at Trump's rediculas statements...Robin was probably saying who the f!@*> is this POS...Dan Quayle got off easy!!!
I fucking miss this man. Now in these times more than ever. You brought joy to children, adults, and everyone between, Mr. Williams... I'm so glad that even though I'm so sad he's gone, he's material was so good and funny I can still watch it all and laugh. Fucking LEGEND.
Truly one of a kind, brilliant, witty, supremely gifted with the ability 😀 to make people laugh ! So sad that while he was making us laugh 😃 ; he himself was battling inner demons 😈 that we couldn't see or understand ! Sadder still he lost that struggle. He did leave us a rich legacy of laughter 😃, his movies, his work with the USO visiting our Troops overseas to boost morale, his comedy albums or cassettes, and his TV and appearances on the Johnny Carson Tonight Show ! Thanks Robin and thanks TH-cam for posting this.
Robin was one of the best damned comedians in the world. he's one of the few i've ever seen brave enough to hop off stage and wander the crowd just for comedic premise. cant do that shit nowadays; too many people get offended or turn hostile near instantly for the small stuff he got away with. truly dark times. i saw a comment saying he was a national treasure; no, he was a Worldly Wonder. the kind of man who would and will be remembered for centuries after he's gone.

39 years later I discover this gem, shame on me!!!
He came from another planet just to show that this is actually possible
My hero.. childhood idol... I miss you
Thank you for the Man of 100 Faces and 1.000 Voices.
Thank you for all you`ve done.
Robin made my Childhood much, much better.
And i think i speek for All of us when i say- We need more Man like him, even today ...NO...specialy today

40 years have passed and this is still damn hilarious. Such a great man and comedian.
42 Years, since "Popeye." and "Mork & Mindy." Great Actor, also.

Beyond a doubt, Robin Williams was the most inventive and gifted comic of all time.
He was not one in a million, but one in a thousand lifetimes…
We all will miss you, in one way or another, my dear friend.

Whenever I’m stressed I know Robin Williams will cheer me up. The world is a little less bright without you Robin, we miss you.

Incredible. The ending hit me so hard. "What's right is what's left after you do everything else wrong."
I was at atiny improv theater off Melrose summer 1983ish. Robin Williams was in front of me watching whoever was up there and at some point he jumped up there and started being Robin Williams. It was one of my best memories.
RIP and long live Robin Williams (July 21, 1951 - August 11, 2014), aged 63
You will always be remembered as a legend.

Thank you for all the laughter you brought us, Robin! RiP

This and the 1986 show at the Met are the two greatest stand-up performances ever recorded. They need to be preserved.
Thank you for uploading.

Agreed!!!
Don't ever forget the Original...Jonathan Winters, who befriended Robin about this time.I could be mistaken but I think this special originally aired on Cinemax...that is where I first saw it... originally...

Robin williams is the only comedian I'd pay absolutely any price to see
That ending got me, especially when he said “you’re gonna be keeper of the flame” and “you keep it for a while, then give it to your little one”, it felt so prophetic, cause he did carry the flame for many of us, love you Robin xx
I'm glad i found this on youtube. I really miss Robin.

Robin,
Thank you for ALL the laughs and the tears, and the fire that burned in our souls. The world is a little bit darker and a few degrees colder now that you're gone. I pray that you are at peace.
Forever.

Robin Williams was a gifted, incredibly talented, being who made the whole world laugh at the drop of a hat. Miss him terribly.
What an absolute talent!! It didn't matter if you were an adult or a child He knew exactly how to make you laugh even without knowing him personally. R.i.P Robbin Williams
A beautiful soul, far too beautiful for this world. Gone, but never forgotten
👍👍👍
I met him around this time, he came in where I was working between summer of '81 and summer of '83. He began performing and no one asked him to. Had a private audience of me and my 5 co-workers . Really nice man
I'll say this, watch the documentary called "Robin's Wish"
It's about why he did what he did.
@@jarongreen5480 I saw it. It was very good

The jokes he delivered gave people who heard them five minutes, an hour or perhaps even a day of happiness. If you count up all those moments from all those people into one great line of time, it probably adds up to thousands of years of pure joy. In whatever afterlife that exists, I hope he gets his just reward..
Right on. May the afterlife be super kind to him.

Rest Easy Robin,
You deserve it ❤️
Just finished watching this routine tonight. I am not ashamed to say that I shed a more than a few tears and self reflection on how someone who brought so much joy to people has left me with something to rethink about life...

Exactly. I have always noticed the same thing.
Such a shame he was never diagnosed accurately and struggled with an illness he didn't have which took his life 😢so sad ✌🏻
@@neilmenzies7193 I'm not really sure what you mean when you said he "struggled with an illness he didn't have which took his life" What does that mean? Love him so much 🥰✌️
We miss you Robin. The world is a sadder place without you.
Didn't this make the visit worse?
How could it not have?
I think laughing & dental work, are pretty incompatible.

For someone fighting his own demons,he brought joy to thousands
Unfortunately many many people with mental health disorders try and hide it with humor. He was magic
Millions!

Hello 👋 Julie 🌸
How are you doing today??
I've come to the conclusion that the lord took Robin from us when he did, not just cause he needed an angel. But he knew the direction this world would turn and it was not a world for Robin's amazing heart. R.i.p. king of comedy.
I wish he was still here with us today because just imagine the stuff he would have to say about the world around us today.
he'd be extremely upset with the left and the media
Very true, Robin and George Carlin.
he would be cancelled
that's why he was killed, like Joan Rivers.
He was a genius !!!. Who is so missed!! My heart cries !
