Dollar General prices their items cheaper, but you have to watch what they ring up for because they frequently ring up higher than what they were marked at.
And check the package sizes too. Always do the math, divide the price by the weight so you're getting an ounce to ounce comparison. You’d be surprised how many off brands are made by national companies. The bread at Walmart is contracted to different bakers, depending on where you live. In my area it’s made by Arnold and it’s nasty. But if I go an hour East to a Walmart, it’s made by Flowers who makes Sunbeam. I was in a local grocery store before Walmart came to our area, it was an IGA, if anyone remembers them. I tried telling a neighbor, who like me was struggling to make ends meet, that the IGA bread was made by Sunbeam. He refused to believe me. I knew this because I bought it all the time. When he left, the cashier told me I was right, that she had been in the factory where it was made and sometimes all they did was change the bread wrapper. That was almost 30 years ago. Full priced pop tarts also taste like despair.
@@ckarlgo, I'm pretty sure DG has multiple chocolate options over pop tarts.
@@andymangum8682taste and cost wise these days 😂😢
All of us in the Intermountain West need to have a mega-generics contest -- Clover Valley versus Chestnut Hill for the win!
Holy cow..... Clover Valley has really been stepping up their game.
I’m telling you right now I love the Dollar General fudge striped cookies. They are phenomenal. This is the kind of content that I would love to do on a TH-cam channel.
You got all 5 items at Dollar General for a total of $6.25....the package of Chips-Ahoy alone cost $5.98 at my local store LOL
Ok, I purposely made a trip to the DG while visiting in Florida from Montana! Bought the cheddar cheese snack cracker, fudge stripes, and CV beef jerky. He was right- they all taste pretty good. Good job Matt!!
Don't know who's doing your editing, but today, they knocked it out of the park!
Matt can’t afford an editor 🤣
Thank you for taking the stomach ache for me. I feel your pain. Well, not literally, of course, which is why I’m thanking you. 😊
I discovered that Dollar General and Family Dollar both carry the "Clover Valley" brand...but the catch is they sell their better quality stuff at Dollar General. Two off the top of my head are bottled lemon juice, and Parmesan Cheese.
Btw, I love your daughter’s sleep mask!
15:59 God moves in mysterious ways, but so does Dollar General. 😆
OMG!!! I totally needed this!! All of the things 😂😂
The ending=LOL!
Clover Valley makes our favorite version of cottage cheese out there. Haven't tried most of their other snack foods, but now we might need to.
The General wins on Memorial Day.
Good to know these days that I can stretch my dollar at the DG. Thanks, Matt!
Matt was fighting for his life in there. Now, I'm craving beef jerky. 😢
Love the ranking videos!!! Keep them coming!
If you knew your full-sized Fudge Stripes, you'd know they break apart at the slightest gust of wind.
Watching your start, please have another PBR. Love your shows!
Thank you Matt for risking your health by going into a Dollar General.
Luv ya, Matt! But I am disappointed concerning your repeated comments advocating theft at DG. I believe you know why.
We will continue to love and watch you!!! Roll Tide Roll!!!!
You should try their version of Girl Scouts Samoas. IDENTICAL!!!!
I teach at Great Value University. But now I'll check to see if there are any openings at Clover Valley State.
You haven't had beef jerky until you have Old Trapper! Jack Links doesn't do it for me!😂
A tummy ache from jerky, cheeze its, and cookies all in one sitting?
That's like a standard afternoon snack...
...or meal if i don't have a refrigerator.
