    Man, I don't think I've ever seen a Harley dealer with designated Demo bikes - it's always, "You wanna ride this one? I'll get the keys and put a plate on it!"
    As for the prices on the bikes... I haven't been in a dealership in months, but the one closest to me had 'em. I'll have to check again.

    • @AkaBull
      @AkaBull  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah I guess they rather just put miles on one model in stead of all in that model. I mean at the end of the day the prices don’t change no matter how many demo miles a new bike has on it, they still try to kill you with the fees.
      As for the prices being removed. I noticed this happened everywhere now. I don’t know what the deal is. Is it a way to jack up the prices on unsuspecting buyers or have you constantly asking a salesman what’s the price of this one, that one, the other one. You can’t just walk in and look at prices and make a decision based on that 🧐🤷🏼‍♂️

      @@AkaBull It's for all those reasons - especially the price one. I'm surprised the m/c dealers don't have to put Monroney stickers on each bike like cars do.

    This is the perfect example of why knowledge is power. Before you even going to a dealership, do the research. Because they're going to try to take every single dollar out of your pocket. Know the price and the market. I'm going to pull the trigger and buy a Lowrider S or ST. I'm just waiting for January/February to do it. My money is just too valuable to blow it on emotion. People go in, not knowing the price and just take the dealers word for it. I think that's just insane. Great video, looking forward to the next one.

    • @AkaBull
      @AkaBull  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You are 100% correct, it's always good to do your research first before attempting to buy any vehicle, car or bike. That way go in at least knowing the price range and not be taken for a "ride". Unfortunately a lot of people don't this, they just walk in and a salesman talks them into dropping, in some cases 2-4 thousands over MSRP, sometimes more 🤷🏽‍♂️.
      Sorry to disappoint Whitebelt, my next video is a vlog about filming yourself in public, for motovloggers. Certainly not as interesting as this one lol. But I do appreciate you 💯

  • @kylehartman9611
    @kylehartman9611 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    The one I work at, we put prices on a little label on the headlight. If every bike said $XX,XXX in big writing then people walk by and think to themselves that they can’t afford it. The idea is to start a conversation and show people that it is affordable and see what their trades worth etc. Every dealer is different though.

    • @AkaBull
      @AkaBull  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think most people who walk into a dealership have a basic understanding of the prices. I think into today’s climate it’s rare to convince someone to spend thousands of dollars on a bike they can’t afford. I’m not saying it’s not possible, I’m saying I think it’s rare.
      In my humble opinion, when people don’t see a price on a vehicle, they think Jesus how hard am I going to get fcked now.

  • @dhc8guru
    @dhc8guru 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    They don’t put prices on bikes because they have added on accessories, stage tunes etc.
    Then they can manipulate the price to suit the profit they want.
    Also, they don’t put prices on bikes so you have to interact with a sales person and they can talk you into buying it.

    • @AkaBull
      @AkaBull  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      People have been buying cars and bikes for years, there is absolutely no reason now to take the prices off just so we have to interact with salesman. If we are going to buy something that’s what we’ll do. As for added aftermarket parts. They can still show that too, it’s just ridiculous to me I guess.

    @kevincharnota4903 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Motorcycle dealerships, like car dealerships, have gone the way of hiding listed pricing on bikes to maximize profits. Most customers coming in have no idea what the listed price of the bike is, and by the time a sales person presents numbers, that might be hundred or thousands higher. This decision is made on the GM level, and may have instruction from the owner or ownership group to do so since profits from sales have very slim margins. That's why they try to hit you up for all the extras on the sales floor. This "not showing pricing" is something that really became a thing during covid in the auto industry, and has carried over the rest of the motorsport marketplaces. So hiding pricing is nothing new. In some states, addendums are required to show pricing of items added on by the dealership. on Bikes this will be a small laminated pouch on the bike somewhere. THAT may have a final price. SO... when you go shopping... look online first and then print the listed price on the bike you are interested in and bring it with you. In most states there are laws that prohibit dealers from stating a selling price different from the one that is listed online.

    • @AkaBull
      @AkaBull  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You are one hundred percent correct, this started back in 2019 with the car dealerships and made it’s way onto the motorcycle market. I also will encourage people looking at new bikes to print the price off the manufacturer’s website and take that with them. It’s sad what these dealerships are doing to unsuspecting customers.

    In 2017 one of my local dealerships that I bought my bike from put the cost on their website, checked it now and they don't. Couple years ago it was still up, but the cost of the was up like $9k more than when I bought in 2017. Huge increase. Guess costs have gone up so much they are afraid to even let you see them in store now. Harley definitely has forgotten who their core market is.
