Thanks for the update this morning 🙏🏻 Us “snowbirds” are obviously concerned (I live in Newell and will be back next week for the winter). Obviously, we’re relying on neighbors and TH-camrs, like you, to assess the impact of Milton. Glad to see no flooding in the roads, but I’m sure the retention ponds are high. Knowing the Villages, everything with be back to normal in a day or two. Thanks, again 👍🏻
Glad you and your wife made it through ok Frank. Looks like mostly superficial damage, which is good. Looking forward to another video with blue sky’s.
Friends in St.Catherine had no power 10:30pm last night, and has of 7:30am still no power!! Thanks for the update!! Just checked on them 12:15pm still no power!!
Not sure where it is but there are 2 trees on the road that were knocked down. And the streets were filled with things last night about 1230 am. So they’ve cleaned up early
The Villages (TV) WOULD have seen more damage if Milton had stayed on course and bulls-eyed it so the full force of Milton wasn't experienced. But even if it had been, I'm guessing TV would still survive it pretty well, especially as there apparently wasn't any flooding issue. That's one huge (!) reason if I were to move to FL (Plan B presently) Central Fl would be the location, not on or anywhere near the coasts. Have no interest in "living on the beach (did that in Galveston TX during Hurricane Ike) or near a beach. So for me, TV would mostly likely be the 55+ community I'd choose (or OTOW/Del Webb Stone Creek secondly). Nice to see the "Villagers" had very minimal damage. 🙂 -- BR
Yes, we are truly grateful for the infrastructure engineering that has gone beyond Florida code. May not be 100% full proof and perfect but it did hold up pretty well.

There were entire palm trees downed near Lake Sumter. Their roots looks fairly shallow. Thanks for the update.
Yea i heard that, even around Moultrie Creek.. I didn’t feel like venting too far as I had not had my cup of coffee yet lol
I’m glad both you and Linda are ok.
Linda? You mean Susan, yes we are ok
I’m thankful you are all okay! Looking forward to seeing y’all! ❤
@@retiringtothevillagesflori197 Can I get Linda's phone number?

Yeah, I don’t understand that, people I know in Saint Catherine lost power and it was back on this morning
The lake sumter boardwalk is under about a foot of water if you want a good place to film . Thank you for the videos
I have thought about it
@@retiringtothevillagesflori197 Rusty already covered the "sunken" Lake Sumter Boardwalk.
Appreciate the video bro!

What Village is this
I just rode around near Chitty Chitty, and then my own village of Bradford as I didn’t wander out very far.
