Yeah, we were very fortunate indeed, however, the Villages infrastructure and the above Florida code. Standards of home building really helps make the Villages area a better spot in my opinion over many others.
How Long Does it Take for Asphalt Shingles to Seal? Typical Sealing Time Frame Under optimal conditions, asphalt shingles typically take around 4 to 8 weeks to seal completely. However, this time frame can vary based on several factors. Factors That Affect Sealing Time Weather Conditions Weather is one of the most significant factors influencing the sealing time of asphalt shingles. Warm temperatures and direct sunlight are ideal for activating the adhesive. Warm Weather: In warm climates, shingles can seal within a few days to a couple of weeks. Cold Weather: In colder temperatures, the sealing process can be significantly delayed, taking several months or even until the next warm season. Rain and Humidity: Excessive moisture can hinder the sealing process. Ideally, shingles should be installed in dry conditions to allow the adhesive to activate properly. Roof Pitch and Orientation The pitch (slope) and orientation of your roof can also affect how long it takes for asphalt shingles to seal: Steep roofs are more exposed to sunlight and heat, potentially speeding up the sealing process. Roofs facing south generally receive more sunlight, which can help the shingles seal faster compared to those facing north
The damaged roofs were installed a couple of days prior to storm, did not see any established roofs with that type of damage. A few lost parts of the ridge cap.

Steel roofs are a better option. Hawaii fire the only home standing had a steel roof. Brand new shingles your right. Plastic walls? That’s a joke go cheap & charge more.$$$ PVC Walls? That’s a joke.
Newly installed shingles will blow off more than shingles that are on for a year or more. The tar adhesive needs time and sun to really set up and work together......not at all odd.
Hi Frank we’ve been on the lookout for you. We’re trying to buy a patio villa there in Shady Brook but lost out on the first one. Waiting for more to be realeased. The patio Villas are off Jeff Anderson.

Poured in walls with steel . Cost effective & stronger . Roof should be steel sheets. Only house standing in Hawaii just happened to have steel sheets of steel.
I watch Milton "Live Stream" aka Storm chaser , from I had saw , winds were moving between 90 mph - 110 mph on his scale , he was showing us . That was a bad hurricane . Another youtuber said the same thing, the shingles rated 110 mph . I guess nothing is perfect .
I heard that the home owners are partially responsible for fixing the fence if it was broken behind their house .👎👎👎👎 and I’m talking about the ones that run the whole neighborhood not those sectioned ones. But probably those also😢😢
Hi Frank, I enjoy your videos but from what I heard, the workmanship is a little to be desired, missing roof ties and a few homes had gas leaks in the attic etc. quantity is the developers goal!!
Reminds me of military housing.
Ummmm maybe lol
New roofs are susceptible to wind damage, it takes some time and heat for the shingles to fully seal.

Hmm interesting.. i can see that perhaps and thank you for your input and thanks for watching

Hopefully none

Ah i see.. that makes sense now. Thanks for watching
Is there a warranty that would cover the cost to fix that within the first two years? Or would you have to make a claim on your homeowner’s insurance?

Nope, all you can do is hope for the best
I have talked to many people since Florida has had all these storms. The comments are screw Florida not a place to retire.
Seems OK to me, if they don’t wanna be here, let them move.

You know I’m hearing that as well, which would really be unfortunate for many people
