    I was going to say you are the second person to play FMX sounds that I really enjoy. I watched one yesterday and didn't get to comment. Lo, and behold, that person was you with the heavy guitar sound. I am not a big fan of general FM sounds but you made them sound somewhat sample based-AWM-ish. Great job!

      Rizzle Riz same here. I got my MODX last month and had no interest in the FM side. I had a DX7 years ago, and it was ok, but i much preferred sample based and filter based synths. The AWM engine is great, who needs more? Then i got given the FM Xpereince pack from easysounds, and have been blown away. So powerful, nothing like the DX7, way warmer and versatile. My fav engine at the moment. I also have a Reface DX and that really put me off FM until now. And i too have come here from the guitar patch video lol.

    It‘s a matter of taste, of course. But I do like the sound of the Yamaha synths since I first heard the Motif. And they are very solid. You will never be left alone in any situation with a Yamaha Synth.

    FM.Motion Control,and the SmartMorph are interesting yet i fail to hear anything about the sampling control/ease,and if you can run those samples through the engines to make an infinite number of original sounds..

    Good info. Please consider not using the mic on the camera, but record the sound of your voice and instrument onto a field recorder and sync with your video with editing software. That will go a long way to making your video both professional and enjoyable. Sheers.

      Agreed, audio is everything, especially when you are demonstrating sounds from a high fidelity musical instrument. Video is second.
      The Zoom H6 Field recorder would be a good choice for your channel. You could also invest in a lav mic and plug that into the H6 input A, the Montage stereo outs in B/C and have one mono channel still available. You can mix it all inside the H6 and write all the audio out into a Flash card or take the Line out of the H6 after the mix and run it directly into the Audio in of your computer as the video is being recorded. Ray makes a great point.

    Amw2 yeh Geno's doesn't have amw2 that's why I don't like Geno's just because of that otherwise it's the best keyboard in the world

    • @SynthsandGuitars
      @SynthsandGuitars  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's interesting about the Geno's, and more interesting that what the Geno's has--arranging capabilities--the Montage/MODX seriously lacks. It can be done on the Montage/MODX but requires a LOT of programming. Thanks for the comment!

    Let’s get real here. You are not a keyboard player and yet you are attempting to demonstrate a complex flagship synthesiser. Anyone who only plays the black notes is not a competent player. Just a techno with too much money and not much musical ability.

  • @ElectricEddieDaus

    DUDE YOU NEED TO PRACTICE UP ON YOUR KYBD SKILLS. PLAYING ALL BLACK KEYS IS A SIGN OF A NOVICE PLAYER. IT TAKES AWAY FROM COMPETENCY OF YOUR DEMONSTRATION OF THE MONTAGE'S WORKFLOW....LOL...

    • @ElectricEddieDaus
      @ElectricEddieDaus 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@rodneylee4026 I guess you don't like constructive criticism. I thought the demonstration wasn't that bad as for the technical aspect of the Montage. But I noticed on several you videos, 90% a time, you playing Black Keys. And it's an old trick if you don't know your scales very well and have much Theory. Its easy way to make it look like you know what you're doing is to play Black Keys. I was just suggesting that there's are guys that know this, and if you wanted to go over bigger & better, to just expand your knowledge with some more Theory and Scale work. Did not mean in a negative way.
