I've been a cop for 29 years and have used about every type of holster and carry position there is including leather and nylon belts. But Kore makes the best gun belt there is. Its a very comfortable and secure way to wear my holster. We used to say it’s NOT comfortable, but comforting to have your gun. But now I can say it’s comfortable AND comforting to have my gun on me.
Steve, thanks for watching and for commenting. I agree that the Kore Gun Belt provides all-day comfort carrying a Dan Wesson ECO in an OWB holster, a back-up magazine and a Fenix PD-35 light. I really like the 1/4" adjustability of the ratchet-style belts, and Kore seems to have the strongest mechanism.
I've been using a Kore X5 tac version for about six months now and its the best gun belt I've ever owned. It's amazingly thin yet stiff and will handle even a full size weapon. I don't miss the thickness, lack of adjustability and eventual sag of my old leather belts!
Mark, thanks for watching the Rider's Range review on the belts. I agree that the Kore Tactical Belts are really stiff and hold up well with a full-size gun and related equipment. Please let me know if there is anything you would like Rider's Range to review.
Still using my Kore belts after about 3-4 years. Have had them since they were called Trakline belts. Love em. I've got an old pile of belts I'll never wear again just like you.
@@adamhenkelman5351 I'm not sure. I've had their belts and buckles since they were known as a different company. Not sure what their current marketing is. I'll take a look.
Adam, the "X" number refers to the buckle style. Here's the link to that info: www.koreessentials.com/collections/gun-belts/products/gun-buckles-buckle-only
I got the Kore tactical belt for competition shooting and first outing with it was flawless! Held my gun, holster and magazines all day. The 1/4 inch increments allows a more precise fitting and adjusting vs my old leather belt or the velcro.
CA Husker, thanks for commenting. Just curious, were you using a full-size gun with multiple magazines, or normal EDC gear? I'm curious as to how it would hold up with more equipment than just normal everyday carry gun and gear.
I've been wearing the Kore X5 gunbelt for the last couple of months as my EDC belt. Liked it so much I got another in grey . I'm a big guy and this thing holds up to the stress I put on it with style. Whether I carry inside or outside the waist band.
Hey buddy you said your a big guy. I often have problems with belts digging into my stomach after sitting down for awhile. Do you notice this with yours?
Anthony, I'm not all that big, but I do have dunlap disease - my belly dun lap over my belt when I sit down. However, I haven't experienced any discomfort from normal size buckles.
jay, thank you for watching and commenting. I'm at about three years on my original KORE belts. For the past year-and-a-half 90% of the time I've been wearing the same black KORE belt and it's still working just fine.
I am sure the Kore is a fine and substantial gunbelt, and if you bought one I am sure you would say you like it. I went the NexBelt route and purchased a web NexBelt. I have carried a 2+ pound 1911 daily for the past two years and have not experienced any of the issues stated in your review. Never has the belt released unintended and neither has the ratcheting system ever slipped. I possess a slightly 'mature' figure and have never experienced the belt rolling over. I would agree that both NexBelt and Kore offer a fine product so I thought I would balance out the commentary just a skosh.
Randy, thanks for offering your perspective. I purchased several NexBelts and wore them for several years before discovering the Kore. Then I found out that NexBelt was making a stronger belt/buckle system - the EDC belt, so I bought one of those and have been wearing it off and on for a couple of months without any problems. Both Kore and NexBelt are quality products, but I have found that the Kore seems to be stouter and stronger, but NexBelt seems to offer more options than Kore does. But, that's just my observation. Fortunately, there are many options to suit many people. I'm glad you have found what works for you and I'm sure others will find that NexBelt works best for them. And again, thanks for watching and for your comments.
Rider's-Range Kore essentials latest belt, I’m told has a stronger core and a newer X5 buckle that is smoother on the edges. I ordered the “tactical”version ( I have them in all four colors(black, tan, grey & green). I’ve given them away to friends and family and I honestly can say these are the best best I’ve ever had.
I have a couple of Kore Essentials belts that I've used daily for about six months now. I carry my Dan Wesson ECP or Guardian with backup mag, etc. and couldn't be happier with them!
Sean, looks like you and I are thinking the same when it comes to daily carry. My current daily carry is a Dan Wesson ECO, though I do occasionally carry a Wilson EDC X9 and I did carry my DW Guardian for a while. I also always have a second mag and a flashlight on my belt, the belt being a Kore 90% of the time.
Great minds think alike...The ECO is a great pistol! (We have two.) My wife carries one of our ECO's (both are chambered in .45acp) daily. I have the other as a backup gun in my bag when I carry the ECP. I just ordered a PM-C (chambered in .38 Super) when I carry my Guardian (it's chambered in .38 as well).
Sean, sorry for the delay, but often comments that are replies to other comments aren't flagged for me by TH-cam. I really like my PM-C .45 - after CZ/DW worked the bugs out. I've often thought about .38 Super, but then I'd have to set up to reload yet another caliber. Thanks for commenting.
I've bought the Kore dress gun belt 2 years ago and I'm still wearing them , look like new still and holds my sub compact very well. I just bought the Nylon 'Tac' belt and I wish I bought one 2 years ago. It should go for 10 plus years no problem . Just for the easy open and close ability , I'll never go back to the ancient belts with holes. Track lines belts ARE the only way to go IMO. I bought several for gifts.
I have 4 Kore essentials, and they are my first pick of all the gunbelts I have used. Everyone of them at a certain point the track on the back distorts, and they slip a notch once in a while
I have worn a Nexbelt for the last 2-3 years. It eventually started to fray, and twist. The ratcheting mechanism gets bound up. I picked up a Kore yesterday and can already tell it is an upgrade. The operation of the ratcheting mechanism is night and day better on the Kore, and the rigidity, plus extra stitching is a recipe for success. Very happy with my purchase!
Another vote for kore gun belts. nore because I tried on both belts at this years shot show and honestly the kore felt stronger with belt buckles appearing to lock better in position very solidly. When I got back home to Phoenix I ordered the black tactical over the phone, I had my credit card info stolen doing transactions on the internet once so prefer the phone. I have been wearing the belt for 2 months now and i can say wihtout a doubt the kore does the job fantastically as an every day belt.
Owen Johnson does the leather kore stick out without the belt keeper Like the nylon version does?i bought the kore nylon with x5 buckle.breaking in some & may break in just right eventually but still a little stiff for now.great at carrying a SS S&W 66-2 though.thx
Burke, sorry I didn't see your comment earlier. To answer your question, I cut mine a couple inches longer than I need to, so yes, the leather sticks out, though not as much as the nylon does. But I do use a keeper on all my Kore belts.
Agreed Kore is the best sir. I too spent a lot of money & time searching for a perfect gun belt. Those who dont have one don't know how much a difference it makes with support and draw speeds.Like you I tried these others but Kore is definitely the best choice.
I've enjoyed my Kore Essentials Gun Belt so much that the carbon fiber NexBelt is still in its package. I should state, however, that the Mark 1 X4 buckle (without set screws) did separate from the belt once. Operator error in the sense of a non perpendicular cut may have contributed. Trimmed to a straight cut and reset has resulted in no further occurrences. I also note that ratchet belt manufacturers recommend not tightening too much, but then a solid load out tends to drag the whole assembly uncomfortably down. I also have and use Hank's and Bullhide gun belts with conventional buckle and holes. Both handsome and suitable for purpose. The Bullhide blackened buckle scratched easily and was quickly retired for its stock silver counterpart. The Hank's is quite thick and doesn't quite accommodate my favorite key chain clip. The buckle retainer studs needed some blue loctite, too.
Go with the Kore belt, you won't be sorry. It is not only the best gun belt that I have owned, it is the best belt. I wear it everywhere!! On the range, EDC and even at work, where I am not allowed to carry. Besides it's rigidity, I love the adjustability of it. If you purchase one, you won't regret it.
I have a Kore, a Anson and a Nexbelt and the Nexbelt is the best belt I own hands down. This is in 2021. I think Nexbelt improved their EDC belts. The issue with Kore for me is they are too stiff, its great if you need something that will hold 8 to 10 pounds but its like wearing a zip tie imo
Belts are like most everything else in life - different options for different needs. I prefer the Kore because it is stiffer and has a sturdier buckle mechanism than the NexBelt. But then again, I carry a 1911, spare mag, multi-tool and flashlight on my belt, so I need stiffness and strength. Your mileage may vary. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Most of the guys in my shooting club wear a Kore belt and all I ever hear is how much they like it. I kinda got them hooked last year when I showed them mine. One guy actually offered to buy mine. No thanks.
Thanks for comparing the two leather belts. I was researching the Kore and there are a lot of videos on their nylon belts, and on the Kore website it states the nylon is about 2x as stiff as the leather one, so that left me wondering how the leather belts compared between these two brands. My local gun shop sells the Blade-Tech (which is a NexBelt - says on the package). After contacting Blade-Tech they stated their leather belt is more stiff than the nylon version of Blade-Tech! Thanks again.
Money, I have several of each and the Kore nylon belts are stiffer than the leather, as you mentioned. However, the Kore leather seems to be sturdier than the NexBelt leather. I usually wear the Kore nylon when I'm wearing jeans. When I have to look more presentable, I wear the Kore leather 90% of the time, with the NexBelt leather the other 10%.
One thing that I was also interested in and you may have tried, is can the Nexbelt and Kore gun 1.5 buckles ve interchanged? That would help give variety.
One thing that I was also interested in and you may have tried, is can the Nexbelt and Kore gun 1.5 buckles be interchanged? That would help give variety.
Based on my limited sample, the NexBelt straps will work in the Kore buckles, but not the other way around, as the Kore straps are slightly wider than the NexBelt straps.
You are correct sir Kore Essentials is indeed the best of these choices.Other can say what they may but over the course of my cc career (30+ yr) I have worn many of these belts brands and the styles and liked many of them at the time. And yes I like belts what can I say. So I feel I can say that kores just fits the best for Owb or Iwb and is very supportive which is inportant. I even tried the nex belt ratcchet belts at a shop near me but it rolls over.
I have 2 kore tactical belts. First belts i have ever owned for edc. They are amazing. I did order a minimalist belt from nextbelt today. We shall see.
I’ve been wearing the NexBelt EDC belt off and on for 6 months and it’s held up well, but it doesn’t seem as supportive as the Kore, and the buckle still doesn’t seem as substantial as the a Kore. But the NexBelt has done okay so far.
@@RidersRange Thanks for your info on your NexBelt. I Appreciate your info. Thanks So Much. I've been look'n at the Kore Belt and I think I'll try it. (?)
Kore is the better belt all around for sure and I've had both. Straight up Kore nylon belt is sturdier, better weave and buckle locks in position better. If you ask me your next belt should be a kore.
It's really simple. Buy a Kore tactical belt and be done with it! I have their first tactical belt they came out with and I Never had the buckle come loose from the belt. I wear my belt and carry concealed everyday and never had an issue.
D10 DozerMan, the Kore Tac belts are great for casual use - I wore one yesterday - but their leather EDC belts are more suited for business casual or dress wear. I'm sitting in my office now with a Kore leather EDC belt. Choices for many situations. Thanks for commenting.
@@RidersRange no I watched most, admittedly I hopped around to get to the parts I was interested to see. I did see where you finally got to the newest version of the Nexbelt edc that has the set screws but I had already commented before getting that far. In another comment, you said you're always open to suggestions & positive criticism to which I replied some people like reviews to be short and only pertaining to the item(s). The whole back story seemed as though you were trying to convey that you've carried for long enough that your opinion should carry weight but in reality a good product pretty much will sell itself
Many TH-cam “reviews” are little more than product endorsements and many content creators have little actual practical experience. When I read or watch reviews, I value the review based on the actual experience of the reviewer, so my goal was to provide some support for my opinions. Sometimes that works, sometimes it doesn’t. And I do truly value all constructive comments - positive and negative - so thanks for sharing your opinion. (BTW, the CR250R is a great bike with a long history. I presume you have one - or more?)
As a retired Federal Law Enforcement I have been on several special teams and have purchased and worn all types of belts from tactical, load bearing to civilian type belts Kore has come up with the design and formula of a belt to rule them all (Lord of the rings play…) The stiffness and ratcheting system of these Kore belts that go from operational mode to beer carbo loading mode after hours allows for micro adjustments to fit the mode your in. Now as an active corporate investigator I still have edc items and this belt is secured and stiff to carry the weight as needed. The new buckle design and combination leather and tactical exterior material make this the perfect belt. No more sizing problems. So yes, it's a great product!!!
Kore is the best. I have Nexbelt and Boxer Outdoors’s apogee belts….all JUNK! I have several Kore belts and the quality and comfort (and lack of sagging….nobody likes anything saggy!) are outstanding. Kore also has top tier customer service folks. I am not benefiting in ANY way from this review….simply don’t want you wasting your time and lots of money searching…..like I did.
I just got my first real gun belt, a Nexbelt. It's in the "Bond" style, which makes it suitable for casual dress. I haven't compared any other brands, but it sure beats those Walmart regular belts!
The new 2.0 KORE Gun Belts use our proprietary Power-Core reinforced center that's stiffer and more supportive vs the nextbelt. And our spring-loaded KORE buckles lock the belt track in place with no slippage, like you got with nextbelt buckle. See the entire collection - www.koreessentials.com/collections/gun-belts Thanks for including us in your review.
Kore Brand, thanks for the comment. As I indicated in the video, I believe the Kore ratchet mechanism may be stronger and more positive, and less likely to suffer inadvertent unlocking. I also mentioned that it seems to be stiffer than the competition. That accounts for why I have purchased four Kore Essentials Gun Belts so far. It will be interesting to see how well the NexBelt EDC belt holds up next to my Kore belts, but so far, Kore seems to have an edge.
@@RidersRange Good to hear and Thanks again for including our gun belts in your review. If you have any further questions or need assistance you can email us direct at Info@KoreEssentials.com
KORE BRAND I absolutely believe in these belts especially the latest gun belt paired with the X5 buckle. Smooth action, stronger core, 4 stitching lines. Thank you
I have both of those belts. The next belt is way more comfortable. I have a belly so the buckle on the next is oval. Which makes it not dig into my belly. Next over the kore 100%. The kore is so stiff it makes sitting down uncomfortable as hell. If you have a belly and your a dad bod get the next belt. I waisted my money to figure it out
I'm carrying a few extra pounds (okay, more than a few) and they all seem to overlap my belt. However, the rigidity of the KORE does a better job, for me, supporting a pistol, extra mag, flashlight and multi-tool. Also, I find the ratcheting latch on the KORE is more secure than the magnetic latch on the NexBelt. But that's just my opinion. Thanks for adding your thoughts.
TheProfessorDank, NexBelt upped their game with their EDC line. The original is nice as a general purpose belt, but didn't work well for daily carry. Thanks for watching and for adding your thoughts.
Kore belts use a stainless steel spring that we designed. We passes on using a magnet because they're prone to cracking and breaking over time. Our springs never wear out. But what is more important for cc is our proprietary Power-Core center thats stiff, flexible and virtually indestructible. Kore belts don't roll or sag like a nexbelt does.
@@Koreessentialsbrand, thanks for the follow-up. I’ve been wearing one of my 5 Kore belts virtually every day for more than a year-and-a-half. Other than some noticeable edge wear where the holster belt loops ride, they are holding up just fine.
Brandon, sorry for the delay, but for some reason your comment ended up in the spam folder. Duty belts generally come in the same materials as EDC belts - leather or nylon weave. Many law enforcement departments are getting away from leather as they move toward field uniforms where the nylon weave duty belt makes more sense. Bianchi, now a part of Safariland, makes what they call an Accumold belt, which is a 5-part laminate with a polymer center stiffener and what appears to be a nylon outer layer. I hope this answers your question. Thanks for viewing Rider’s Range videos.
Brandon, there are many good options, but so many different considerations: open carry, or concealed; full size steel frame gun, or compact alloy or polymer frame; inside the waist band (IWB) or outside (OWB); carrying at least one reload (always a good idea)?; carrying a flashlight and cuffs?; tall and slim?; carrying a little extra around the middle and devoid of hips? If I’m dressing casual, I will use either the Kore Essentials web belt or a Crossbreed Crossover leather belt. For business casual, I’ve been experimenting with the NexBelt EDC leather belt (but I still prefer the Kore leather for rigidity and robust ratchet mechanism), and I occasionally use a sturdy leather belt from OneInTheChamberGear or Lobo Gun Leather. In short (okay, it’s too late for “short”), you need to find what works best for your physique, for what and how you are carrying, and for how you are dressed at any given time. You could end up like me and have more than a dozen belts hanging in your closet - after all, you can’t wear a brown belt with black boots, right?
My Kore Essentials initial quality surpasses my Nexbelt EDC, which prior was my go to. The Kore buckle seems more robust in build, and their belt even though it's thicker and stiffer, feels more comfortable. The belt’s tacky inner liner keeps accessories carried in place. Hopefully the Kore will hold up better than my Nexbelt did, but only time will tell.
The problem I have looking at all these belt companies is, I can not find an EDC belt that does not look like I am either going to the range or going to the office. Where are the everyday casual dress belts?
Jason, thanks for watching and commenting. Have you checked the KORE Essentials site lately? They have many, many options in their EDC belt line - tactical, dress/casual, and now western styles. I don't get anything from KORE when viewers make a purchase, but last time I checked their website their EDC line offered something like 15 different styles of buckles, 5 choices of leather colors and 4 choices of nylon belts. I'm guessing you could find something casual from that selection. (Reminder, I'm only talking EDC "gun" belts, not their dress or fashion belt line (what KORE calls their Classic Gear line), as those generally aren't suitable for holding up with a firearm, magazine, light, etc.) I'm. curious what you think about the options after you look at their site. Again, KORE is not an affiliate of Rider's Range, so I don't get any kind of kick-back from them. I just really like their products.
I'm thinking about getting a Kore to replace my Bigfoot. The Bigfoot is ok, but the thick buckle makes appendix carry a problem sometimes. I've tried wearing it to the side but then it digs into me and feels uncomfortable.
Kore is the better choice. I bought a Bladetech belt made by the nexbelt company with the similar track system. It was obviously cheap, the releasing lever broke 6 months after edc, it scratched easy (both the belt material and the buckle) and wore out after only two years!!!! My kore belt is noticeably better made, more positive, better metal for the buckle, and leaps and bounds built more sturdy.
Emanuel, the NexBelt straps are just a fraction narrower than the Kore, so I presume NexBelt straps will work in a Kore buckle, but not the other way around.
I’ve only purchased 1 EDC belt.kore nylon.it is breaking in somewhat.hope it gets to the point that I won’t need the keeper strap to keep the end from sticking out.is the leather version of kore the same or does the end stay flat & rounded to your waistline more like regular leather belts do.thx for any information.
Burke, I cut all my belts a little long to start with so they will work IWB or OWB, so I still have to use the keeper on the leather and nylon belts. I did cut one 2" shorter and I can get by without the keeper on that one.
Kore looks much slimmer, and because it has a reinforced core its lighter too I bet. I have had a Kore for a year and a half and I can tell its much better quality then the Nexbelt from this video.
When I put the Kore side-by-side with the NecBelt EDC belt, the Kore looks to be just a little thicker and they feel about the same weight, though I haven't measured the thickness or weighed either belt. But the Kore is definitely the better belt if you carry OWB. In fact, I just ordered another belt from Kore to go with a different leather set.
I own 2 Kore belts, leather , and Nylon both are good belts never a problem, and much better than my Blue Alpha which sticks once in awhile and I need to spend a few extra seconds to get it off. I contacted Blue Alpha about the issue and never even replied back so I’m done with them and I will trash them every chance I get.
Rider's-Range They aren’t bad to adjust, especially once you get the hang of it, also I like that nothing hangs once you un-buckle it. Customer service sucks so for me they are done, like I said not even a reply.
Kore just sent me a couple belts for review and I’ve been wearing the Bladetech NexBelt for a couple years. Doing some research on the topic and your video came up. Lol. I’ll try not to copy you.
That was the second video I ever produced. I recall one of the early comments that said I wasted my time, as there are way too many belt videos out there. Turns out this is one of my most-watched videos of all time. I'll watch for yours. Thanks for watching, and as always, thanks for commenting.
Kore essentials is a purpose built belt . I own 4 of them & have nothing but good things to say about them. Their leather belts & buckles are second to none.
I still have several of the original Velcro keepers and they are doing fine, though I slip them on when I put the belt on, so I don't put any strain on the Velcro. Thanks for watching.
My Nexbelt 1.5" does not come undone. The retaining screws keep that from happening. Not sure why you don't have those. 2.5 yrs now and I'm still waiting for this belt to slip.
gravy229, if you check the video at 4:30 you will see that I’m un-boxing a NexBelt EDC belt that does have the set-screws. At 8:43 you will see the installation of those screws. (Unfortunately, most people don’t watch videos all the way through.)
gravy229, I watch each video start to finish at least a half-dozen times before publishing, often finding little things that need to be corrected, then I watch them again after they are published, often more than once so I can respond to questions. I realize many folks don’t watch more than a few minutes of a video, though occasionally that results in a comment that wouldn’t have been made if the video had been watched all the way through. We are always looking to improve our content and make reviews that people will watch, so if you have constructive suggestions as to making our reviews more “watchable”, I’m anxious to hear them.
@@RidersRange reviews should be short and to the point.. you started to lose me showing through all the other belts that I didn't click on the video to see. I can only assume that probably goes the same for many
Every TH-cam creator has their own style that dictates the length of their videos. Hickok45 regularly goes for more than 25 minutes. Nutnfancy usually goes more than 30 minutes. Most of the Honest Outlaw’s videos are longer than 11 minutes. TheFireArmGuy usually keeps his under 6 minutes. Yet all of those creators have well north of 100,000 subscribers and huge “watch” numbers for all their videos. So, there are different tastes and different attention spans among TH-cam viewers. It seems that there are more demands on people’s time these days, so many folks aren’t willing to watch longer videos - but many also appreciate more detailed content and comparisons. I know my style and the length of my videos appeals to a rather limited audience, and I’m okay with that, because there are those who are willing to to stick around to see what info I can provide. That’s the great thing about TH-cam - many different styles of creations to suit many different audience tastes. I sincerely appreciate your comment, but I find that I rarely can convey the info within the average attention span. So, many viewers will click out early and miss some important points. Rider’s Range may or may not survive, but for now, I enjoy providing the info in my own style.
I believe the info was there, but not everyone is willing to watch 14 minute videos. I'm glad you were able to get the info you wanted from another channel. Thanks for commenting.
Nexbelt magnet cracked and broke year and a half into it. My only regret was that I didnt get a kore belt first. There stiffer and lock more secure with my glock19 rig.
Great review! I’m gonna ask because I don’t see where anyone else has asked yet. Since you have both the Nexbelt EDC and the KoreEssentials gun belt, will the Nexbelt’s gun buckles work on the Kore Essentials straps, as in are they the same width/thickness to where they could be interchangeable? I have 3 Kore belts and 2 of their buckles but Nexbelt does have the edge as far as buckle selections so if Nexbelt’s buckles fit on Kore’s straps leather and nylon then I will probably order one of Nex’s buckles. Thanks again!
My leather Kore straps are slightly wider than the NexBelt straps, but I can work them into the NexBelt EDC buckle. Though if I did that on a regular basis, I imagine it would wear the edges of the straps. The Kore nylon/tactical straps are just a little too wide, however, and won’t go into the NexBelt buckle. NexBelt does have a wider variety of buckles, but they just don’t seem as sturdy as the Kore buckles.
Riders Range I had the kore and next belt and the kore is better for sure. the kore is stiffer and the buckles lock better. the next belt buckles slip over time.
Dave, I like both and wear both, depending on the situation. The NexBelt EDC belt has a nice taper at the end which makes it easier to use - something lacking on the Kore. The NexBelt works fine for IWB carry, but the Kore is better suited for OWB carry, in my opinion. I used a NexBelt this morning when carrying my Sig P365 in a pocket holster, but switched to my Kore Essentials this afternoon when I carried in an OWB holster.
I agree Nexbelt is substandard quality! Wait, before buying a belt from "Nexbelt" be forewarned! They will not stand behind their product, and when they find a flaw with their design, even if your order was made 3 days before they implement their updated version. They will ship from their old stock and will not take a return or exchange it. The rigid click section of their belts will break, and no they will not replace it. If you ask to purchase a replacement strap they refuse and make you buy a complete belt instead. Really lousy customer support! There are way to many quality gun belt manufacturers out there. I would rather pay more for a belt like an S.O.E. tactical gun belt than buy 2 of their inadequately made belts. Save yourself some money and get a good belt, this is a "gimicky" piece of junk!
UAPOPPA, thanks for weighing in on NexBelt vs Kore Essentials. For light duty IWB carry, either will work, at least for a while. But for OWB, I believe Kore makes the stronger product. Also, NexBelt does have the leather belt straps available separately, but I don't see the web-type straps separate. Kore, however, does sell both leather and nylon gun belt straps separately.
That's one of the first videos I ever did, so production quality leaves a LOT to be desired. My follow-up videos on the KORE belts are a little better. Thanks for watching and for the constructive comment.
i know im a big r**ard, but i've tried a few big name gun belts and i really dont like them. They're annoying to undue compared to a regular belt, they print more than a reg shit belt. I just use a common "heavy duty" work belt. It works much better AS LONG as i dont get fat. I broke my elbow a few years ago and put on 20lbs from booze & tacos, no good. my Dad worked for the garbage company and did a route in Bensonhurst in the 90's. Those guys partied hard. I would sometimes look for him after school because we lived in the neighborhood. When i find him he's almost always drunk. He wouldnt come home for days at a time. my mother worried
John, I haven't found any info on which came first, but I believe Kore filed a patent infringement suit against NexBelt a couple of years ago. I recalling reading somewhere that a settlement may have been reached, but I don't know the particulars. Then again, I could have my info wrong.
Kore Essentials were the FIRST to Introduce and Patent a ratcheting gun belt and as proof we now hold two registered U.S. utility patents on them. You can see them at www.KoreEssentials.com Thanks
KORE BRAND all I know is when I bought mine it was through Blade tech and there was no other ratcheting gun belt that I could find online. I googled ratcheting gun belt recently to complain about my belt because I had forgotten the name and I saw Kore come up on my search. Thank you
manacoo57, thanks for watching and for adding your comment. Ratchet-style belts have been around for many years and there were other companies making them even before KORE and NexBelt. Ratchet Belt, Slidebelt, Mission Belt and Railtec Belts come to mind. The two main differences between KORE and NexBelt are the belt stiffener and the buckle - KORE uses a stout spring in the buckle, while NexBelt uses a magnet. From my experience, those make the KORE belts far superior for everyday carry of a firearm.
And you came to that conclusion because I prefer KORE Essentials belts over NexBelt? Interesting! I hate to burst your bubble, but I'm a senior citizen living on a fixed pension that will never grow with inflation. But thanks for watching and commenting.
Agreed Kore is the best sir. I too spent a lot of money & time searching for a perfect gun belt. Those who dont have one don't know how much a difference it makes with support and draw speeds. Like you I tried these others but Kore is definitely the best choice.
Recently got my 3rd Kore gun belt, this by far is my favorite. Quality product.
Chris, so far I haven't found anything better.
Searching for my first gun belt, I found your video amazingly helpful and far exceeds many other infomercials I ran across. Thank you! Well done sir.
A. David G, thank you for watching and thank you for your kind comments.
I just shipped a pile of belts to Purple Heart. Thanks for commenting.
hrosemd what’s the difference between the x1,2,3 for their belt. I can’t seem to find anything
@@RidersRange I had my P320 X-Five and two spare magazines.
Thanks for the review. It was time for a new belt and my Kore arrived yesterday. I’s my first ratchet type and I love it.
Good choice!
I've been wearing the Kore X5 gunbelt for the last couple of months as my EDC belt. Liked it so much I got another in grey . I'm a big guy and this thing holds up to the stress I put on it with style. Whether I carry inside or outside the waist band.
Joseph, Kore does make a fine belt. I’m glad it works for you.
A more useful review video than any of the others I just spent hours on. Well done sir thank you!!
Miles Rost, thanks for watching and thank you for your kind comment.
Got tired of my next belt crimping really bad every few months so I got the kore no issues yet after a year.
jay, thank you for watching and commenting.
Eric, thanks for the info. I’ll have to check out the newest Kore products.
Thanks for commenting.
I have 4 Kore essentials, and they are my first pick of all the gunbelts I have used. Everyone of them at a certain point the track on the back distorts, and they slip
a notch once in a while
I'm with you. Thanks for watching.
Kore was the first to make trac ratchet belts and launched them on Kickstarter. Thats where I got my first one over 3 years ago. Still going strong.
I wear a Kore almost every day, but a couple of mine are starting to show wear around the edges.
Thanks for watching and commenting.
The latch on the Nexbelt feels weak because it's not spring loaded, it's magnetic.
True. That's still my main complaint.
Roy, bummer on the credit card info theft. Thanks for weighing in on the Kore belts and thanks for watching and commenting.
Owner of two Kore Essentials. Tried other belts, these are the best I've owned so far.
I'm seeing that from many folks. Thanks for the comment.
I have bought other brands in the past but kore makes the best !
I agree. Thanks for watching and for your comment.
Great video, I learned a lot. I had no idea so much thought went into a carry belt. Keep up the great work.
Steve, thanks for watching and for commenting. A good belt is critical to carrying a firearm.
Nightraker, thanks for the comment and for your views on the Kore belts. Please let me know if there are any other reviews you would like to see.
Robert, thanks for weighing in on the Kore. And thanks for watching.
Thanks for watching and commenting.
can you please do a NEW update on the new kore belts? Love to see that.
@TerryCampbell44, funny you should ask. I'm working with KORE to get updated products. Expect to see a new review this summer.
Most of the guys in my shooting club wear a Kore belt and all I ever hear is how much they like it. I kinda got them hooked last year when I showed them mine. One guy actually offered to buy mine. No thanks.
Thank you for watching and commenting.
Wear Kore ccw belt most days and battle belt for range training. Real great belts thanks for the recommendation.
@antony1773, I'm interested in your thoughts on the battle belt.
I have the kore belt brand and its the best belt I've ever used. It's also the only belt I use. Wear it every day.
Mike, thanks for commenting.
Samuel, thanks for sharing your thoughts. And thanks for watching.
I have 2 kore tactical belts. First belts i have ever owned for edc. They are amazing. I did order a minimalist belt from nextbelt today. We shall see.
Darian, I'm interested in your thoughts on the NexBelt when you get it.
IF you think bout it, after you have the nextbelt for month or two send me back a message on How Well YOU Like It, Please.
Five Kore and five NexBelt so far. (Must match the shoes or boots.) But Kore does seem to be the sturdier, stronger belt for everyday carry.
Thanks for the detailed comparison. Looking into picking up a Kore belt for edc. 👍🔫👍
just82much, thanks for watching and for commenting.
I own several Nexbelt golf belts with built-in markers and love them but not the best for cc. I wish they were. My preference for cc is kore belt.
Billy Reload, thanks for commenting.
Mrs Claus is bringing me a Kore Gun belt.
I own the Nexbelt and would easily recommend it as much as Kore. You can't go wrong with either
Rich, I'm glad the NexBelt works for you. Thanks for watching.
NexBelt have reinforcing set screws too
I did mention that, but it apparently was farther into the video than some were willing to watch.
So yes, it's a great product!!!
eagle9516, thanks for watching and commenting.
Sorry, as a regular citizen we're not allowed to do some beer carbo loading with our piece.
Well said.
I just got my first real gun belt, a Nexbelt. It's in the "Bond" style, which makes it suitable for casual dress. I haven't compared any other brands, but it sure beats those Walmart regular belts!
Douglas, just curious - did you get a standard NexBelt, or one that is specifically an "EDC" belt or Gun belt?
@@RidersRange This one.... www.nexbelt.com/products/bond-black-gun-belt?_pos=1&_sid=f1ed58b3d&_ss=r
It looks like that buckle has the set screws, so it should hold up well. It’s definitely a classy dress belt.
Thank you
Eric, thanks for watching and for commenting.
I like the nexbelt, the magnetic hinge ratchet system is superior to the spring design in the kore.
No spring in the nexbelt, like you mentioned. Its a hinge that works with a magnet.
Never had a problem with my nexbelt slipping but i don't have any gut at all so i dunno if that plays a factor.
Never knew Kore belts existed. You just sold 3 for them.
Glad you likes them. After finding Kore, they are my daily go-to belt.
Thanks for watching and for commenting.
Question: What are the different material types when it comes to duty belts? I know when it comes to holsters, there are nylon, leather, and kydex.
@@RidersRange It does. In your opinion, what belt do you believe would be good and/best for bail enforcement?
Thanks for watching and commenting. I'm planning a three-year update on my favorite KORE belt.
(Reminder, I'm only talking EDC "gun" belts, not their dress or fashion belt line (what KORE calls their Classic Gear line), as those generally aren't suitable for holding up with a firearm, magazine, light, etc.)
I'm. curious what you think about the options after you look at their site. Again, KORE is not an affiliate of Rider's Range, so I don't get any kind of kick-back from them. I just really like their products.
Nexbelt has a "supreme appendix" that's somewhere in the middle. Not really tactical but definitely not dressy
Got mine on the way can't wait for Xmas
Ron, Christmas is here. I hope you enjoy your new belt.
Rider I do the leather Kore Esential belt with the buckle that looks like a reg buckle. I love it.
Thanks for watching.
I'm thinking about getting a Kore to replace my Bigfoot. The Bigfoot is ok, but the thick buckle makes appendix carry a problem sometimes.
I've tried wearing it to the side but then it digs into me and feels uncomfortable.
Fosty, I don’t carry appendix, but I know others who do carry that way with a Kore and have no complaints.
Josh, thanks for watching and for commenting. I agree that Kore makes the better product.
Wow two years! My bladetech fell apart after one year because I carry a tape measure around all day.
Can you swap belts and buckles between the two manufacturers?
I’ve never owned a Blue Alpha, but from what I see on their website, their belts can’t be adjusted anywhere near as easily as the Kore or the NexBelt.
Rider's-Range
They aren’t bad to adjust, especially once you get the hang of it, also I like that nothing hangs once you un-buckle it.
Customer service sucks so for me they are done, like I said not even a reply.
Great video but gotta say kore is the best gun belt I’ve ever owned
I agree. I've been seriously abusing one of my KORE belts for more than three years, so I'm working on an update. Stay tuned.
Just found your channel. Subscribed. Not a big tactical presentation. Good info, easy to watch & listen to.
Thanks for subscribing and for your kind comment.
Kore essentials is a purpose built belt . I own 4 of them & have nothing but good things to say about them. Their leather belts & buckles are second to none.
I agree. Thanks for watching.
Have you tried the Super Bio Belt?
I have not tried a Super Bio Belt, but after living with the ratchet-style gun belts, I'll probably never buy another belt with holes.
Rider I agree these kore belts might be perfect. I have 5 and only negative is the small belt keepers dont last that long but belt is fantastic.
I still have several of the original Velcro keepers and they are doing fine, though I slip them on when I put the belt on, so I don't put any strain on the Velcro. Thanks for watching.
The best EDC belt I've owned so far is the Kore...beating out WTP, Nexbelt, and many others.
I agree.
@@RidersRange Have you tried watching your video all the way through?
gravy229, I watch each video start to finish at least a half-dozen times before publishing, often finding little things that need to be corrected, then I watch them again after they are published, often more than once so I can respond to questions.
You had me wondering if this was a history lesson. Went to an alternate channel to get the information about Kore
Tory, thanks for watching and for adding your comment.
Rider's-Range cheers, and thanks for the quick response.
You caught me at the right time. I hope you have a great 2020.
Rider's-Range I know what you mean. Hopefully @koreessentials will come out with even more designs on their buckles.
Riders Range I had the kore and next belt and the kore is better for sure. the kore is stiffer and the buckles lock better. the next belt buckles slip over time.
Thanks for watching. I agree that the Kore seems to be the better belt and your observations match my experience.
Outstanding
A K, thanks for commenting.
Great review.
Thanks for watching and for the compliment.
NEX Belt🤘😎🤘. my cousin owns NEX Belt!!!!!
Isn’t there a lawsuit between kore and nexbelt??
I responded to that question as part of my response to your earlier comment. I haven't researched for any additional info.
Very informative.
Barb, thanks for watching and for your comment.
Hank's Belts
Look great
100 year warranty
Thanks for the suggestion. I checked the website. Looks like great quality and workmanship, but still adjustable only in 1” increments.
+1 to the 'vintage' bluetooth speaker/amp!
Just one more old thing to clutter my small work counter.
I am a kore belt wearer as well and no reason to go anywhere else for me and I live on a pension too. thanks for review.
Thank you for watching and commenting.
Jesus...even that laminate on your desk is what I have in my kitchen! We're old...
Actually, I bought that counter top in 2013 off the Lowe's scratch and dent rack. But, yes, it does seem to date me.
Cool
Thanks for watching.
KORE IS SOLID BELT. IS THE BEST.
I agree. Thanks for watching.
You keep moving the belt out of frame. Could not see what you are talking about.
Thanks for watching.
Nexbelt was first
John, I haven't found any info on which came first, but I believe Kore filed a patent infringement suit against NexBelt a couple of years ago.
Thank you
@@johnrakes4425 Since your Blade tech belt broke (they are made by nexbelt) you might want to check out KoreEssentials.com
KORE BRAND I actually plan to. Thank you
This is what happened to my friends Nexbelt th-cam.com/video/FLbYYtRyBDc/w-d-xo.html
Just the fact that nexbelt copied Kore's design steers me away from them.
manacoo57, thanks for watching and for adding your comment.
Why? It's competition. This way both company's are forced to keep making better products which is better for you.
You got rich people problems . Or it’s all advertising.
And you came to that conclusion because I prefer KORE Essentials belts over NexBelt? Interesting! I hate to burst your bubble, but I'm a senior citizen living on a fixed pension that will never grow with inflation. But thanks for watching and commenting.
Leather core essential or nylon tactical?
That's an old video, but I have KORE belts in leather and nylon, both 1.5" and 1.75" widths. Different belts for different purposes.
Agreed Kore is the best sir. I too spent a lot of money & time searching for a perfect gun belt. Those who dont have one don't know how much a difference it makes with support and draw speeds. Like you I tried these others but Kore is definitely the best choice.
