    I switched to Kore last year and is definitely superior to the Nextbelts I had. I cc med to heavy rigs like Glock 19 and 1911 IWB. My Kore is more supportive, buckle locks better and quality is 2x as good. And yes like 1776 said its a couple dollars more but way worth it.

    Carried for the last year with my Nexbelt and there is no rigidity problem at all. I like a little flexibility for more comfort.

    • @HesperianHorsePower
      @HesperianHorsePower 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Agreed. It’s called EDC for a reason. There is no reason to pack more than a gun and an extra mag on an edc. This isn’t combat its every day carry. The Nexbelt is plenty stiff to keep a pistol in place but flexible enough to allow full range of motion no matter what you’re doing

    • @johndel1971able
      @johndel1971able 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm looking now for a good edc belt and for the same reasons you mentioned was looking at the Nexbelt. If you guys are familiar with blue alpha gear edc belt how does the Nexbelt compare. That's and stay safe gentleman.

      @@johndel1971able I like cobra buckles a lot and when they became available on “rigger belts” it was a game changer. No more dealing with undoing that old parachute buckle just to take a dump lol. Having said that I only really like those type of belts when geared up. The nextbelts are nice because they’re super lightweight. Don’t look “tactical” at all really and the ratcheting system is hands down the way to go for EDC. Say for instance if you carry appendix and you get in your car. It takes the push of a button to loosen the belt enough to be comfortable while seated and allow the pistol to sit better. Tightening the belt is just as simple. The nexbelt is think but stuff. It won’t sag under the weight of a gun etc.
      The blue alpha gear belts are top notch but in my opinion just less user friendly when dealing with adjusting multiple times a day. I also don’t feel they are as stiff for the weight of material. It’s a trade off.
      Wearing a belt every single day I’d go with nexbelt personally. Keep in mind everyone has their preferences for gear of course.

      I have both of those belts. The next belt is way more comfortable. I have a belly so the buckle on the next is oval. Which makes it not dig into my belly. Next over the kore 100%.
      The kore is so stiff it makes sitting down uncomfortable as hell. If you have a belly and your a dad bod get the next belt. I waisted my money to figure it out

    I, like many, have tried several different belts for conceal carry even those very expensive ones. The Kore belt is hands down the best for multiple reasons. - ease of use (ability to adjust w/o messing with buckles or hook n loop - just a push of a button it expands or tightens) - heavy duty for all your conceal carry and day range needs - I find it more comfortable than most and find I can wear it longer without issue of “fatigue” Bottom line is this is the best belt for the price and if I would have come across Kore last year I would have saved myself A LOT of $$$.

      I have tried EVERY BRAND OF BELTS RECOMMENDED BY ALL TYPES OF PEOPLE. KORE ESSENTIALS IS BY FAR, WITHOUT A DOUBT THE CLEAR CUT WINNER. I will no longer wear any other belts. I have had the same black tactical belt with the x2 buckle for 3 years now and THE ON PLACE THAT SHOWS WEAR IS WHERE MY IWB HOLSTER CLIPS ON. The quarter inch adjustments are the life saver of the day and i have my eyes on there battle belt series which is still on 1.75 inches wide but is rated to hold 20 pounds... i dont know about you but my kore tactical was EASILY able to hold twice the weight it was rated for. Even tho its seems like these belts should break easily... THEY JUST DON'T! Another AMAZING feature of these belts is after wearing them for 3 months they will start to conform to your normal shape and if you lose or gain weight they will re-conform.

    I haven’t used the Kore belt yet but plan to. But I think this review was a paid by review. The Nextbelt is a very well constructed belt and I have no hang ups like in the review as well as no wear on the leather. I have been wearing mine for 2 years now and it’s still stiff as day one. The only thing it lost was the coating on the buckle is a little worn, but that doesn’t change the function. The toggle that engages and disengages the belt on and off works very well as well and have never had the problem claimed in the review. If you would have said they are both great belts but the Kore is a little more ridgid I would have taken this review more serious. On that note, I do still plan to get a Kore belt to try it out. I’m sure I won’t be disappointed, as i am not disappointed with the Nextbelt.

    Thank you for this review it verified my initial choice for a ratcheting gun belt. I got my 1st Kore leather belt at almost 5 yrs also and shortly after that purchase I bought my 2nd leather one. These allowed me to have a gun belt to wear when dressed up.
    When the tactical versions came out I got black & tan ones.
    I have since given them as Xmas presents and made more loyal KORE fans of their dress belts. They had to buy their own gun belt versions though 😉.
    They are the only belts I use whether carrying or not. The variety of different buckles has increased allowing a nice selection.

    The Kore nylon belt is OK and I like the stiffness, but the lack of taper on the end makes it really hard to fit through loops on a lot of my pants. Also, the clips on my IWB Black Arch holster have been chewing up the bottom of the belt. I got a leather Nexbelt and like it much better than the nylon Kore belt so far for EDC. The extra rigidity of the Kore belt is helpful, though, when wearing an outside the waistband holster and a heavy gun during competition.

    The new Kore belt has the set screws now but the gen one buckle did not. I had 3 Kore belts (2 nylon and one leather) and all had issues with material separating and bubbles forming where the separation were. I also had problems with the corners that enter the buckle fraying on both nylon belts. I had a gen 1 buckle and had it come off the belts once, luckily I was in my backyard but my pistol and pants hit the ground. I also had to trim the belt where the buckle attached once a month to keep fresh material in the clamp of the buckle or the buckle would come off the belt. The Kore belt is definitely more rigid than the Nexbelt and did support larger pistols better. I’m 2 months into the Nexbelt and so far so good. I do want to try the gen2 buckle for Kore that has the set screws. Just for reference I am 6 foot tall 280lb construction worker. I wear these belts all day every day. I carry 2 pounds of stuff in my pockets at work and a pistol when I am at home.

My Kore belt is still as smooth and has as strong of a lock up as day one and barely has any sign of use. Those that have the next belt and have had no issues, well that's great and I wish you luck, but me having owned both and having 2 next belts go to crap with less than a month of use I can say the Kore belt is made way better. I would not use the next belt as a carry belt. To risky. Dont want your belt to come undone when carrying a firearm.

    I was really looking at Nextbelt over KORE until I saw someone fold the Nextbelt (vertical). Initial rigidity is very important as it will affect how the belt looks and feels 2-5 years later.
    PS. Go look at a diagram of how your pants are supposed to sit and where your belt should be. Your belt should be at your waistline, and it should not be resting on your hips.

    Kore and Nextbelt are the same price but from what I have seen and experienced the Kore is step up quality and style wise.

    Nexbelt is trying to win with marketing now... They are offering TH-cam "influencers" to rebrand their belts. I've had a Kore for 4 years. They redesigned the belt a few years ago. Well, my original belt broke and Kore warrantied it hassel free and shipped me a new one in a few days for free. Great company that takes care of their customers and keeps making improvements. The new belt they sent me will NEVER fail the way my first one did.

    Nice video! Have you tried the leather belts? I’m not a fan of the nylon ones, so I run a leather belt. It’s a Nexbelt but mine is made by BladeTech, and it has the same ratcheting system. Personal preference, I guess, but I think the leather looks nicer. If Kore makes a leather belt, I might give it a try.

    Perhaps you have adjusted to the Kore Essentials and have nit given yourself enough time to adjust to the Nexbelt. In my opinion, kore Essentials is way to rigid unless you are carrying a 1911 and a magazine holder. Not good for me.

  • @rc9208
    @rc9208 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Probably the same with Nebelt, but core belts are definitely made in China. I failed to properly research it and bought a leather Kore belt. The leather is not very high quality, I cut it apart and it is cheaply made.

    The kore edc belt is way too stiff. Trying to run it through belt loops is a PITA in my opinion. I do have the standard kore belt which I use for edc and i don’t know why you need anything more Ridgid. Unless your hips are made of jelly the belt isn’t going to contort the way you suggested.
