I've always focused on vocalists - and then I heard Dirty Loops. Next thing I know (after a dozen back-to-back listens and a few dozen over the following week) I'm listening to Larnell Lewis and watching bass teaching videos breaking down what Henrik is doing. I'm never gonna' play drums or bass (I'm 70, not my focus) but I just had to understand what is happening. They blow my mind and make me so, so, happy. Wonderful musicians. Can't get enough.
When you were talking about looking at Henrik and not really thinking he had the most soul out of all of them, this is why he's my favorite. It's the soul. No matter who's doing what in any song, I'm always drawn to Henrik. I feel like he's the main one who could enter any genre he wants to and really thrive.
This reaction was 5 months ago, and a comment I posted back then, has disappeared, so just briefly: It’s a joy to watch you listen and react to Dirty Loops ☺️ This song is such a great mix of chilled and fire, and I love the way you describe how they arrange their songs with all the open spaces in there, and giving each other room to move and to shine. And Jonah’s riffs: you almost don’t need keys in there (he’s got a keyboard in his throat, someone suggested ;), but then, his tone and quality of voice is so varied and expressive, too… Henrik, man he’s EVERYTHING, in all of their songs…but then, so is every single one of them. And as Lotta was saying, the credits are just so silly. If you google that Scratcher, their Body Guard or their Hair Stylist…. ;) Wondering if you have yet listened to their earliest LP, ‘Loopified’? Even back then, their songs and covers were ridiculously good 🔥🔥🔥 Looking forward to more Dirty Loops reactions from your channel 🙏

My favourite rhythm section hands down. Obviously their all amazing but as a bass player, the way bass and drums compliment each other whilst uplifting keys, vocals and the songs as a hole. For a different vibe, Breakdown is amazing.
Great reaction with interesting, thoughtful commentary. For one of my fav tracks of Henrik consider "Old Armando Had a Farm" from Henrik and Aron's "Songs for Lovers" semi-side project. Henrik looks like someone who is easily walking a sub-four minute mile. It's a furious bassline but he just looks so fffffing calm and relaxed. Whew.
They don't actually have a bagpipe in there though. The name of the bagpipe player isn't even a real name, and half of their credits is always a bunch of silly jokes and references. They are so funny. :D
It's very clear from the list of extra musicians after Bitten by the kitten that they fool around a bit in the credits, so maybe Bitten by the kitten could deserve to react to it? Only Henrik and Aron in that one, just a short little fun piece in their side project (still amazingly well played of course)!
