I wouldnt buy The Pixel, ever. Google’s sends so many of their products and services to the Google Graveyard. This is their 2nd or 3rd times trying out tablets after saying their done supporting it. So in the end most developers wont adapt their app for the tablet since they dont have faith Google will continue supporting it. I think the demise of Google will be its cutting of programs and services, people are now hesitant to try any Google Products or Services for fear it will be discontinued. A good example of that this week is the shutting down of Google Domains.
I'm a light Tablet user. I use a Google home speaker and would like a display to go along with it. I would use a tablet outside as a secondary screen in the backyard. I believe this would be an excellent second screen with a Bluetooth speaker.
Considering I'm Windows laptop, Android phone and iPad at the moment if and when my tablet needs replacing it's a Pixel I'll be getting. Screen and speakers are kind of the point of tablets, for real work a laptop runs rings around the limited apps on tablets.
Stop making shit up, literally no one is calling this an ipad killer. Every reviewer mentions it's just not on an ipad level, and that's fine, it's a good tablet and smart display, but no one ever said it was an ipad killer.
I feel like the only thing G Pixel Tab needed is better optimization for android apps to take advantage of the screen. If they do, then the Pixel Tab would be a great rival to the Samsung Tab and iPad.
I am considering the Pixel Tablet, even If I have the iPad and iPad Mini. Adobe Lightroom on iPad is severly limited, it is not possible to flag, rate multiple photos at once, it does not allow pasting text in the caption and keyword metadata fields of multiple photos at once. All these features are available since 4 years ago on the Lightroom version for Android. I have been waiting for Apple and Adobe to sort this issue out. But an Android tablet may be the solution for editing my back catalogue on Lightroom. The speaker and the extra storage may add some value.
The way google advertises it, it doesn't directly compete with the ipad. For me it's a home hub that is actually usable. The watered down apps on the other hubs are worthless to me. I have mine docked next to my computer.
In part, I really like that speaker stand out of the box but that is for the home. You use these on the move. Trains, busses, airplane, in the field, in a warehouse, or at school. The pixel is arguably better out of the box even without the speaker. App support will be key to the versatility. The Pixel is a good product.
Great video guys! 5:42 Heck yeah Apple needs to do this! I honestly can’t believe they haven’t yet, although it is in the works according to the rumors. I’m excited to see what they bring because I’m sure it will sound way better than the Google speaker (which already sounds really good, my grandma’s sounds almost as good as my MacBook Pro speakers which is really saying something since they’re so good) I sure hope Apple kicks that air gap display out of the lineup and gives us the fully laminated with 2nd gen Apple Pencil support. I also hope they bring M2 chip to the iPad Air, and put the binned M2 (8-core GPU) in the iPad mini and A17 in the base iPad!
But if Apple did this, take that 500 Google charge and double it, at the very least you know Apple would charge 750 for something similar, and that wouldn't be a 'Pro' device either.
It is compatible with all pencils out there even including the apple pencil. It also connects to Bluetooth/wireless keyboards and mice. You really need to do more research and I agree with the other comments. No one has called this an iPad killer. It's not designed for that and should not be compared like that.
It's not compatible with all pencils. Pixel tablet supports USI 2.0 styluses, which the Apple Pencil is not, nor are many others. That said, it does offer stylus support.
The best ipad is still the ipad mini 6, the other "pro" are still not as useful as a macbook in term of work, and also due to their size their are not comfortable if one use it for light use or social media, so that's why the ipad mini 6 it still the best, and I wish that they update it this year since it has been a while since it was launched. Max tech thank you for your balanced review. Other reviewers were not so kind to this product. In actual fact apple should have had this long ago as a quick fix for home control.
Please please can you do a video comparing the pixel tablet to the iPad Air 5 I want to see the speaker difference because the m1 iPad Air has much better speakers than the iPad 10
The speakers aren’t that good you know on the Pixel .. no bass at all and they sound cheap like on a 100$ tablet .. the dock does save it a little though .. however, I have just tested and my 60$ Echo Show sound far far better! Also in the UK, the Pixel tablet costs 600£ .. at that price, you can get the M1 iPad Air and with that iPad.. there really is no comparison!! However, to mention the positives, the screen is really good and the build quality is excellent!!
I just use a Logitech k380 and a mouse or trackpad (like the foldable Microsoft Arc) since this kind of keyboards often don't have suport for italian language or if they have it are just unavailable due to the low number of units produced and too expensive. Also the logitech folios keyboards/cases are THICK
My use case for this would be as a media device in my kitchen replacing my existing Amazon Echo Show 8 and a small screen LCD TV. I prefer the quality of iPad OS apps over Android, but I find iPad OS frustrating for the lack of support for emulator apps and it's a more complex process to sideload apps. A USI 2.0 stylus will work with the Google Pixel tablet. Google are offering at least 5 years (until 2028) security updates, and at least 3 years (until 2026) Andoid version updates, so not as good as iPad OS.
There's a lot of tablets that's cheaper than iPad and still end it honor pad 8 for one I have a iPad but when I got the pad 8 don't use my iPad anymore
Actually the truth is that the g2 beats the a14 at gaming it is the combination of GPU and the extra cores that makes the Google tablet better at gaming. The Google tablet also runs specific apps that are unique to Google pixel products.
At this point in time, do you think any of your data is private? Do you know you are watching a TH-cam channel right now? Did you use a Gmail account to access it?
@@hhhmmmmmmmm I know how to block the spying on webpages but Google devices run big data collection on the os, it’s not easy to block on Android system level nasty stuff! New Eu rules is going hard on Google for this, so if they don’t fix the massive data collection there products won’t be legal to sell in the EU
Ipad 10 th gen being not so value for money still better than google tablet in terms for design build software exp and ecosystem software updates and gaming etc…
Of course, it will take some time for an iOS user to get used to Android, but the Pixel has proven better usability, is more beautiful, more flexible, has smarter functions and, according to TH-camrs, the Pixel 7 Pro (same chip as this tablet) performance feels smoother than the Iphone 14 Pro. As for build quality and design, no way this iPad is better, just look at the video again will you? Pixel has better screen, better audio, better microphone, better feel. But sure, the iPad has the advantage of more optimized apps and slightly better performance for gaming. I still think the Pixel is a bit overpriced, but the iPad is ridiculously expensive for what it offers.
Google Pixel Tablet can't sync up with other Apple products any one uses, so NOPE ! My wife got a new Pixel Pro phone and now can't sync to nothing any more like her old iPhone...she also got frustrated multiple times just trying to do simple things. Told her not to switch couple of times and she got mad. Now I just let her suffer with it. She has her newer iPad that she WON'T give up !!!
The processor is the deal breaker for me - the A14 is quite a bit stronger than the Tensor G2 even tho it’s older. That of course translates to much higher fps in games, and most importantly, stability and MAINTAINING those high frame rates. The CPU is also stronger and can crunch tasks both basic and heavy despite having less RAM. P.S. I admit I am heavily into the Apple ecosystem but that doesn’t come into play in my decision here. I already have an M2 iPad Pro which destroys both of these tablets, so I would not mind a Google tablet and I have to give props to Google for their great product this time around, while the iPad 10 was a good step in some areas but was a more all-around lazy refresh.
@@soberanisfam1323 Lol I don’t know anyone with a tablet who DOESN’T game on it. Like everybody who originally wasted money on an ROG Ally and then realized how much better iPad is.

i dont like cmparisons from iPads to other manufacturer/developer tablets. Google is very much like apple where they make products for google ecosystem users. they arent going after ipads to compete. its never going to happen. this is more in line with the oneplus tablet and others.
Lol, He really touched some nerves with the "ipad killer" statement. Almost started the whole Android vs Apple fight back up 😁.... But google has really done well with this tablet. It is essentially a very well rounded tablet that is awesome for the android ecosystem. I'm loving it so far. They have come a long way with the software integration and are starting to lock users in to their "small but developing" wall garden.
What's the use of all that power with just 4 gb RAM. Apple just playing planned obsolescence with the iPad, 5 years down the road the 4gb RAM will slow down the iPad, nobody wants to talk about that!
The only way this is an iPad killer is if you accidentally drop the Pixel Tablet stand on your iPad. Otherwise home run for iPad, but of more note is that in the UK, the Pixel is £600 and I can get a 5G iPad Air M2 for that and still have change!!! The Pixel is aimed for a tiny demographic that run a home hub and can afford an expensive controller.
i'd say it's aimed for someone who just uses a tablet as a media player or quick lookups through the browser and a tablet for the kids. with it doubling as a home hub where you can use it as a night clock as well as use it as a home hub makes it even better
@@rayriggz16 I would not let young children anywhere near a £600 tablet. You must have money to burn. Youngsters will get an Amazon Kids Tablet that can take some drops and knockabout. The Pixel would be on the "do not touch" list.

CASI perfecta Para que fuera perfecta no deberia de valer más de 400$
Whether you like it or not, it's s an ipad killer for me and some people. The iPad is not designed as a hub and don't have hub specific features and don't even have multi-user support, neither comes with a speaker.
I had the pixel tablet And no it's def not... it's more money, way less updates And the screen is trash btw the speaker makes the audio sound lower than the speaker
Unfortunately in 2023 Apple will probably release an identical iPad with A15 + P3 laminated display for $429 compatible with their 2nd gen pencil but in 2024 this model will have 128GB of storage, A16 chip and maybe a real usb-c port or flash on the back. They just need to finally improve the battery life (up to 14h) and it’ll be enough.
I think YT creators simply fail to understand the market for the base iPad which is why it uses non-laminated displays. For schools, it means new displays can be done by the IT person for $20 rather than >$100 if laminated as you need a whole display. This also applies to businesses like warehouses and pilots. Apple has done their research and knows what they are doing. Consumers can buy an iPad Air if they want laminated displays.
Nobody is calling this Pixel Tablet an iPad killer.... And let's also compare it to the new fall iPad model? But then the issue with Pixel Tablet is not the tablet itself... it's the OS and Android is not good for tablet. Sorry can't be a killer if the OS is not great... Sorry Pixel Tablet.
@@dontbajerme In European Union it's ~745$, in the UK it is 765$ and if I would like to buy it in Poland it's about 860$ and thus it's overpriced everywhere except the USA

Apple making a dock like the pixel will kill the Pixel Tablet. I think because apple will make it compatible with both the new mini and the regular iPad. @@RealGamer_Rohan I heard it can ONLY charge wirelessly and it has no ports.
@@MichaelSidneyTimpson check again. It has type c port for charging and syncing.
I hardly ever watch movies on my iPad on a desk. I usually holding it with AirPods in.
6:30 pixel has better mic quality but iPad has way better camera
My use case for this would be as a media device in my kitchen replacing my existing Amazon Echo Show 8 and a small screen LCD TV. I prefer the quality of iPad OS apps over Android, but I find iPad OS frustrating for the lack of support for emulator apps and it's a more complex process to sideload apps. A USI 2.0 stylus will work with the Google Pixel tablet. Google are offering at least 5 years (until 2028) security updates, and at least 3 years (until 2026) Andoid version updates, so not as good as iPad OS.
why not just use the pull tabs rather than cutting it during the unboxing?
There's a lot of tablets that's cheaper than iPad and still end it honor pad 8 for one I have a iPad but when I got the pad 8 don't use my iPad anymore
Actually the truth is that the g2 beats the a14 at gaming it is the combination of GPU and the extra cores that makes the Google tablet better at gaming. The Google tablet also runs specific apps that are unique to Google pixel products.
Can I connect to a TV o monitor with a USB C - HDMI Cable?
Yow!!! Seriously thinking about replacing my iPad mini 5 with this, thank you so much for the great review!!! +1
Looks nice but Google is collecting all your data! That’s a no go for me. Google’s data collection is so massive, crazy if it is sold in the EU
There is no need for a knife.
I wish to know pixel tablet been Nest Hub to control Google Home and other apps like Wiz or SwitchBot.
Who the hell plays games on a tablet lmaooo
@@soberanisfam1323 Lol I don’t know anyone with a tablet who DOESN’T game on it. Like everybody who originally wasted money on an ROG Ally and then realized how much better iPad is.
android has no eco system and still its touchscreen latency still there ,ios has less touch latency
Thankfully I hardly use my iPad for music or video chatting…otherwise it would wise to switch 🙈
One more app, I’ll switch to it: the Books app that can import / convert all purchased ebook from Apple.
Too little storage, no card slot = useless paperweight. For the sake of a few grams and a few bucks they needlessly cripple it. Why don't these companies give us a choice? Pathetic
i dont like cmparisons from iPads to other manufacturer/developer tablets. Google is very much like apple where they make products for google ecosystem users. they arent going after ipads to compete. its never going to happen. this is more in line with the oneplus tablet and others.
How many prise ?

The only way a Pixel could 'kill' any iPad if it fell on one out of a window.
The iPad killer has always been Samsung's flagship Amoled tablets, the only ones I've loved
The Pixel tablet actually has USI pen support. Guys please do [basic] research before you tell thousands of people the wrong information
Both are good for daily tasks but I am an apple fan so gotta flip the coin to the iPad’s side
Honestly my iPhone is louder than that iPad lol 😂
Does anyone know if the pixel tablet has a cellar option?
If you mean cellular, then no.
That fat speaker is making the iPad sound like a Nokia compared to it 💀
Lol, He really touched some nerves with the "ipad killer" statement.
I agree, I love the pixel over the iPad.
Usi 2.0 pens work 6:43
Both of them are made for people who wants learning how to make music
Pixels mic is great, but the camera well unfortunate.
I will stay with the iPad as it sync with my iPhone and iMac.
Ain't nobody is calling that the iPad killer we all know better
Whether you like it or not, it's s an ipad killer for me and some people.
The iPad is not designed as a hub and don't have hub specific features and don't even have multi-user support, neither comes with a speaker.
Better screen better speakers better camera better battery, unless you need the apple pencil, the pixel tablet is simply better
looks like ipad pro 10.5 better both of this in all categories and it can be bypass icloud, and suport ios 17, and cost from $100
what the world has come to, tablets competing, phones competing its crazy. the google pixel is better in many ways
"Can Google's new Pixel compete with the iPad?"......no
😭 that iPad sound quality??? It's so weird because Apple's products tend to have killer speakers.
This generation of iPads have bad speakers
My iPhone is even louder than this iPad!
Why would you even compare Geekbench and 3d mark on the pixel tablet 😂
I had the pixel tablet And no it's def not...
it's more money, way less updates And the screen is trash
btw the speaker makes the audio sound lower than the speaker
I would get the iPad in a heartbeat
I’m getting the pixel and I’m exited
The apple has deeper blacks, can compare it to sony products. Great quality products
I will definitely not consider this
I was going to buy a pixel tablet but 860$ is overpriced too much
Don't know where you got that number, it's $499
@@dontbajerme In European Union it's ~745$, in the UK it is 765$ and if I would like to buy it in Poland it's about 860$ and thus it's overpriced everywhere except the USA
@@michal4736 Ah, I see. Still, I would imagine that's around the same price as the 10th gen iPad. I'm using the Pixel tablet and it has been well worth the price, but I also wouldn't spend that amount if it cost that here.
Love the dock. Apple’s base memory is crap. Android tablet os? Meh (at best).
Apple making a dock like the pixel will kill the Pixel Tablet.
I think because apple will make it compatible with both the new mini and the regular iPad.
I also think Apple with side car or universal control should allow for connecting speakers to allow for a stereo setup. example: sound from both Mac and iPad.
The color is better on the iPad Pro not the pixel
OnePlus Pad passes both of these.
Simple answer Google Pixel Tablet only worth $199 without stand.
Apple are said to bringing out A home device soon
bad quality display and the tablet is in color of toilet. sounds like a winner. lol….
I actually took back the iPad sounds better
