That's an AUTO OFF button. What an untrained salesman. What it does is;
When you reach the stop signal, the engine turns off. When you lift the brake, the engine turns on again.

Dude, The button next to the traction control is not related to gear shifting or so! If u turn that on it help to turn of ur engine automatically off when u apply the brake on red light and when u give throttle the car strts automatically and starts going.
