In 2015, I was returning from Jog falls in Karnataka back to home in Navi Mumbai the same day (approx. 750 kms one way) and remember stepping out from the restaurant after dinner at around 10:30 pm just after Sankeshwar and near Solapur village aka the turn that one takes for Goa after Nippani (towards Goa).. I reached home at 2:30 am with couple tea, sutta and snacks breaks.. I still have no idea how did that even happen.. that’s an average of 100 kmph non stop for 4 hours incl breaks having driven a total of close to 1050 kms in the day in a 2 lane road full of trucks occupying both lanes!
Since then I have driven Kanyakumari to Panvel non stop in 24 hours (11 am to 11 am door to door), Kozhikode to Panvel non stop.. the last 2 on my manual
XUV300 while the Jog falls one was in my manual Ford Classic..
@cannotthinkofoneatth nice to hearing people are these doing long runs in less time in our own country. Last month I did 1250km Jaipur to Pune non stop in 18hrs in my BS6 Nexon petrol. I have covered total 62K odo under 3.5yrs in which I did couple of long runs like above 1250km, 950km Pune to Udaipur. Pune to Bangalore and the car runs absolutely fine. This is for those who says Tata and Mahindra don't make reliable vehicles. It's totally dependent on you how you maintain
I live in Canada. I own a VW Jetta GLI with 230hp. It is fast, but electronically limited to 204kmph 😢. Love my car ❤

In North America (USA and Canada) you get the 6-speed manual transmission too. I remember enquiring from the dealers in Canada, and saw a huge mark-up in price, in comparison to the MSRP of the car, and has HUGE waiting periods too. But VW is discontinuing that at the end of 2024, which is a stupid decision. The Golf R has a 315 HP engine, and also comes with AWD... It also has a special Nürburgring mode, which is absolutely BONKERS!!! Lastly, the cars do get a sunroof... But it doesn't come as standard, one must pay extra to get it. Overall, the Golf in general, is my all time favorite car, and as I say this, I'm waiting to receive the delivery of my 2023 VW Golf R, MT.
This is my dream review, I was hoping for Faisal to review it, and here you are, what could possibly be better than your favorite car reviewer to review your favorite car! If you're ever in North America, please review the VW Golf R, specifically the manual transmission, I promise you, it's much better than the already amazing GTI, in terms of performance.

Car looks soo beautiful and sporty but they have overdone the piano black treatment on the dash. That piano black near the digital instrument cluster is going to be distracting specially for those wearing spectacles. But all in all car feels really fun to drive, would love to drive this beauty. The engine is just lovely.
