  • We have a huge Holly sticker bush/sticker tree that we're not sure if we should remove or not. My B2601 could probably pull it right out of the ground! Activities and techniques on this channel apply to the B Series of Kubota tractors: B2601, B2301, B2401, B2650. Most may also apply to the BX series and LX series such as the LX2610.

Hi David! Yup, we called them lightning bugs growing up too. We call the sticker bushes barberry bushes. We also have a couple of holly tree/bushes on our property, but I haven’t seen any TH-cam channel sticker blooming on them yet. Maybe some fertilizer would help? LOL! Clever video! Thanks for sharing!

I think the reason people plant the sticker bushes next to their houses is because they secretly HATE their a/c repairman !! Hey Del! those bushes you describe were everywhere when I was a kid. I remember once playing army and diving for cover into one of those sticker bushes. Good morning David, I also grew up with sticker bushes and lightning bugs. It's been a good while since I heard the term "Sticker bush", but I still think of a firefly as being a lightning bug. I was born and raised, and still live in Alabama.
    Take care.

Good morning, Joseph! Moving out to the country has given me time to reflect on my youth back in MS. I haven't seen a lightning bug in a couple of decades now. I'm glad I still have the memories. :) Whereabouts in Alabama? Thanks for watching, my friend!

@@PaleHorseOutdoors Good afternoon, I grew up and lived in Elmore County near the town of Wetumpka up until a couple years ago. I retired and moved to Coosa County near the town of Rockford. Coosa is a very rural county, The population is only around 15k. I have a little over 9 acres here, which is all woods and hills; my yard is about the only flat spot on it.
I have a Kubota L2501 with the same grapple setup that you have. The only other attachments I have are a Land Pride post hole digger, box blade and a front-end loader bucket.
Really enjoy your channel and video whatever you want to.

Thank you for your kind words, Joseph. So you're kind of near Montgomery. Does US 82 run nearby? That was my main way of getting about when I was young. I took I20 sometimes, but I prefer highways and county roads! That's a nice area :)
