Steve Nash is absolutely amazing because his style of play the game is unique and very entertaining, his look was rare, but when he play he did a lot of classic movements of the 70 era combined with original movement of this era, he used the sky hooks, the left hand, and was expertly using the bank shot and also he has one of the best shot from three point and mid range, clutch, best freetrow percentage of NBA history, sorry for my English, I would like to see Steve Nash win a Championship.
nash was probably one of the top 5 most skilled ballers in the last decade as well as one of the most consistent players. he is quick but not super quick like iverson or rose, but nash has much better court vision, ball handling, as well as superior shooting touch. on top of that he is extremely unselfish and very capable scorer if he is needed. funny how people say he didnt deserve those two mvp awards. just go watch him play during his prime, he was like a mini magic johnson that has a terrific mid range game with the mavs and the suns.
popeyeisgood One of the greatest offensive players I have ever watched, and one of the worst defensive players ever. His defensive ability was clownish
Drew Filson you know very well that he made up for his weakness in other formats. like shooting %, 3pt % and assist. his to-assist ratio is also pretty low. i mean not every player has to play like jordan right?
Drew Filson yea i mean, watching him played in his prime is a joy. it is smooth and uptempo all the time. i personally think he deserved his two mvp more than lets say some of the lebron's recent ones and derrick rose's. i mean, if magic could be a multiple times mvp and be praised for being a great leader on the court i just dont see why nash cant get the same type of compliment. the amount of ring argument is bullshit in my opinion.
Wow, I have never seen him play on the mavericks, those were amazing offensive highlights! I guess that was because he was so young when he was with them. His skill set is amazing. He is a master of the game.
He was 3rd team all-nba TWICE with the Mavs. When he went to the Sun's he worked out with his personal trainer (Celebrini) for six weeks straight (2 a days). Worked on function, coordination, balance, endurance, mechanics, etc. You could see the difference. And he kept improving with '06-07 being his best season. Led the league in eFG%, TS%, Assists, Assist%, Total assists, 2nd in 3pt.%, 5th in FT %, 7th in 2 pt.%, 14 in Fg%, 27th in scoring.
Yeah honestly, I just started watching... ended up watching almost the whole thing! Steve Nash is so quick and nifty especially with all these big guys around him. Bad news for him today with back injury, done for the season :(
Nash is my favorite player of all time. What strikes me is that, unlike most NBA players, he really doesn't look like someone who played basketball his whole life. This guy often gave the appearance of someone who was clumsy or "uncouth" in terms of finesse. Of course, he refined his style as his career blossomed with Phoenix, but he really only did what worked. Soccer and hockey gave him the awareness crucial to a PG in terms of where his teammates were. He knew where everyone was at all times - all he had to figure out was how to get them the ball.
i felt an era of basketball ended when he got hurt, then was forced to retire. Basketball inevitably changes but I miss seeing real point guards like him so smoothly dribble and distribute. Chris paul is probably the last one similar to old school PGs.
Tenacious, miraculous hustler with stellar skills...but also on a well-coached team, not left to do it practically by himself like a few of his contemporaries.
He averaged 50-40-90 over a 10 year period. 11 assists over an 8 year period. They did a 10 year study on who was the best shooter from the most spots on the floor and it was Nash, with Ray Allen #2.
I've started collecting Suns games only a couple of weeks ago. I have many more games incoming and I will make an extended version once I get enough material to add another hour. ;)
Nuts ...forgot how good Nash was at the mavs ....scoring while making everyone else around him play better ..land he played defense ...all this at 6- 3 ......made to play ball ..
Hey Christian, it's too bad Nash couldn't have a back-up role on the Warriors, seeing how Gentry and Kerr are there, Jerry West has always been big on him, and it's hard not to see a ton of Nash residue all over Curry's game. I do think that Curry's shooting form/release is more exciting than Nash's, and I would have to think that Curry is more comfortable pulling the trigger from deeper range; although maybe Nash had that ridiculous range but was too embarrassed to take that shot at the frequency to which Curry does. It must be killing Nash watching how much fun Curry is having, thinking about how he could have played in that system. Up until recently, I thought that he would be in the top 40-50 greatest ever range. Now, I know he's dropping in people's minds, probably sub-50, sub-60, but I'm moving him up. There are a ton of high volume scorers highly ranked, and great centers, but not many offensive orchestrators, and to me, just as an offensive PG, he's right at the top with Magic. It feels like the public is supposed to feel ashamed of overrating him, but he's never been properly rated because he didn't score +20 PPG. One thing to add, people go on about Kobe's unparalleled footwork for a guard. But Kobe took so many contested single coverage shots even with that great footwork. Look at Nash's footwork in this video, and his timing, and no one is touching him. 999,999 out of 1 million people will say Iverson was a greater scorer than Nash, and he certainly scored a ton more, but seriously, Nash's offensive arsenal on display in this video, comprising of just a 2-year stretch of video content here, and it's ridiculous what he could do. He's like the slightly less flashy version of Pistol Pete, who was infinitely more efficient, and teammates actually galvanized around him.
When they needed him to score, he could score. Like that Mavs playoff series where he averaged over 40.3-9.0-9.7 on 60% shooting over the last 3 games. His career highs in points and assists both came in the playoffs.
Besides being one of the greatest passers in history, Nash has a solid case for being the greatest shooter in history as well. Career: 49/43/90. No other player has these career numbers.
wow. Curry really does remind me of him. First I didn't like the comparison but they really have some simular moves and just the overall way of playing.
I knew hé was great but what i learned the most through this video: 1) stoudemire had a good sense for steals 2) nash OWNED sasha and kwame. I think 90%of his bucket against the lakers where against those dudes🤣
Nash would've won multiple chips if he had Klay draymond and the rest of the warrior team plus bench. He's certainly better than steph curry. No debate. Curry shoots a higher volume but he's not a better shooter. Deep range and off the dribble is all nice but the more consistent shooter was Nash. And by far superior passing skills. I'd take Nash any day.
Nobody understands how clutch of a shooter Nash was, my favorite player of all time
#Top 5 Pg all time #Nashty
Nash was ICE ❄
Top 3, easy.
WILFREDO GARCIA GONZALEZ same
WILFREDO GARCIA GONZALEZ you deliver it better

G Money Despite the poor defense, he's a two-time MVP and future hall-of-famer. That says something.
Drew Filson you know very well that he made up for his weakness in other formats. like shooting %, 3pt % and assist. his to-assist ratio is also pretty low. i mean not every player has to play like jordan right?
popeyeisgood Absolutely. Nash more than made up for any deficiencies on defense by being arguably the most efficient point guard of all time.
Fantastic. Waiting for years for such a great mix, for the best point guard ever.
okocha87 dont do that
Try joseph Vincent video

It's cool. He made the hall of fame instead
This is still my favorite basketball video on TH-cam.
Steve Nash buckets and passes are just different. They give me chills. I just wish he would have shot the ball more often.
am i the only one who noticed that 95% of Nash's makes are swishes?
+cerniglia65 Mark Price's makes were too.
cerniglia65 pretty cool right! 👍👍👍👍👍
93.5%
He only hits greens
Thats how curry is as well..
Thanks for putting this together. The Canadian Guard with wispy hair - 2MVPs. One of my favorite ballers of all time

He also played LaCrosse and Rugby.
Still amazing how good Nash was ....so many different tools .....an all time great ..
He will be my favorite player forever, just amazing :)
i felt an era of basketball ended when he got hurt, then was forced to retire. Basketball inevitably changes but I miss seeing real point guards like him so smoothly dribble and distribute. Chris paul is probably the last one similar to old school PGs.
daaaamn definitely adding this to my favorites nice work
Wow! An hour of Steve Nash highlight! Hell yeah! Thx for putting this together and sharing Sheb Khan !
A lot of the shots he takes with the wrong foot and still makes them that's crazy balance with he gained from playing soccer.
He just made it look easy. I don't really know any other player who can do all those things so effortlessly.
Dude, this is awesome!
Thanks! It was a pleasure to make. :)
Tenacious, miraculous hustler with stellar skills...but also on a well-coached team, not left to do it practically by himself like a few of his contemporaries.
Steve Nash rules!
"the big 7 foot 3 guy comes out...." best commentary 20:45

Vendo esse mix .. Nash realmente jogou muito no seu auge.. thanks bro
I just watched this whole thing
I've watched it 10 times
Nash was an excellent finisher shooting 50/40 90 for a few seasons.
He averaged 50-40-90 over a 10 year period. 11 assists over an 8 year period. They did a 10 year study on who was the best shooter from the most spots on the floor and it was Nash, with Ray Allen #2.
Thanks ,Magic.
Thanks for posting this, great vid!
post some more of his 2004 2005 season with the suns! he was soooo good back then
I've started collecting Suns games only a couple of weeks ago. I have many more games incoming and I will make an extended version once I get enough material to add another hour. ;)
His best season was '06-07. Crazy stats.
Quick as cat running around all those Trees.
amazing video, I enjoy his game so much, thank you :)
Thank you bro.
Thank you, some highlights without any cinematic bullshit
Nash's craft is just amazing. The only problem I have with his game is his D. What a magnificent craftsman.
A modern day earl the pearl Monroe with a jump shot ..
steve and dirk why did that ever end
The stupidity of Mark Cuban.
ats62 the mavs didn't think Nash would hold up and they wanted Erick Dampier
...and they had Finley, Josh Howard and Van excel....
best nash video on youtube
What a great video! Please do the same for Stephon Marbury/Baron Davis/Arenas/Steve Francis all these mid-2000s guys!
He's "almost" ambidextrous? He is probably the most ambidextrous player to ever play. Ballhandling, passing, shooting, etc.
Except for Larry Bird.
Nuts ...forgot how good Nash was at the mavs ....scoring while making everyone else around him play better ..land he played defense ...all this at 6- 3 ......made to play ball ..
Just watched the whole thing... Holy shit

How did you get all of these clips? Btw this is amazing.
I have about 6-7000 recorded NBA games from early 80's up to the last season :)

You can see the power increasing with his hair length in this vid
My favorite nash shot in the whole video is,
24:20 mike breen and the dagger

They should have put every championship team in 2k15. I've always wanted to play 05-06 Lakers and mavs
I'm playing 2k14 with the Mavs and I just had to trade for Nash :D

Not so fast but also could easy score . Respect~
He was beating all the slower black players though. He faster than most.
He was faster than you say
@@costumeninja1914 yeah he has speed with exceptional court vision and outstanding 3 point
How come dirk & nash duo didnt win championship together wayback mid 2000s?. They are powerhouse team at that era.
wow. Curry really does remind me of him. First I didn't like the comparison but they really have some simular moves and just the overall way of playing.

I knew hé was great but what i learned the most through this video:
1) stoudemire had a good sense for steals

Was thinking about doing more Nash and Muggsy after.

HoF👀
This guy DOES NOT HIT RIM!! Jesus nash!!!
shooting guard????
i think he was referring to guards in general, adding the shooting abilities then
everything is literally swish
no disrespect but the 03 mavs 05 and 06 suns were SEMI elite and not equal to the 88 mavs 76 84 89 90 and 93 suns
