- Steve Nash is arguably the best passer of all time, and one of the more innovative, trendsetting point guards in history. Check out the nuances of his game, and how he became so successful.

Nash was also one of the first guards to consistently detour through the paint and not attempt a shot. He would dribble through the paint and curl away from the basket and look for late rotations. He and Tony Parker did this exceptionally good as well but I think Parker would use it more to create space for his jumper.
Stop The Bleeding its so effective cuz defenders get confused
Weak move. My dad always told me to shoot under.
@@Yes-gq6rr your dad is the reason why you can’t make it to the nba
@@Moneymaker600 My dad is the reason I'm alive. I can do all things.
@@Yes-gq6rrWhy would Nash shoot a contested layup in the paint when he can probe and wait to take advantage of the defensive attention from him entering the paint?
3:40...
That is the perfect example of playing steps ahead of everyone. Most players would've passed that straight away to the open man or the person they see first. Look how he passes it into an empty space where no one could anticipate, then all of a sudden his teammates are already there. What amazing vision and iq.
I think him playing soccer at a young age really helped him see passes ahead of time.
@@Netburner23 he honestly does play like he's playing soccer on the court lol
Woah, so glad I found this channel. these kind of videos you don't find everyday
So tru
Ikr but their is Shotmechanics and ilovebasketballtv
Caricaturer and i just found it by now
True anyone else here
Steph Curry took so much from his game kinda of like Kobe did with MJ
Different because curry actually had one on one time with Nash because he was golden states shooting coach for all those finals runs
@@kobealldayeveryday plus Steph caught Nash at the end of his prime
I respect Nash more because of this video, great job.
Who else got mad when the video ended ?
me too
Steve Nash should've done more in his career then smh. Lol jk
JP 3 he honestly should have left the suns sooner ,he went too late to join an injury written Kobe and a lazy Howard
LIL KERMIT 😂
Nash's game speaks for itself... The man was a smart ball player.
No speed and flashy dribbling but the best in penetrating the teeth of any defense....amazing..
Well he had some flashy dribbling (for the era and god do I feel old saying this lol) he took quite a few ankles back then.
@@justanaverageperson544facts
He was quick n had a great first step
steve nash can do it all on offense with either foot, either hand regardless of range on any type of pass or shot. all while shooting 50/40/90 on below league average athleticism in his 30s. truly one of the most skilled players of all time.
Great video. Really made me appreciate how amazing of a ball player nash was. Thanks.
Love your work man. Many people talk about just performing the moves but not the little details that make it even more effective, like you do such as the footwork and angles/body movement. Def helps the players who are not the quickest or the strongest so we gotta be more crafty like me.
Just wanted to say that in all these videos, these dope beats really do it for me (other than the amazing quality content you provide for us).
You are so underrated in comparison to these other basketball analysis channels. I really love yours the most. Props G!
I almost shed a tear watching this.
Top notch break down and what an incredibly skilled and nuanced player Steve Nash was.
He's become underrated at this point.
One of the beat point guards to ever play
yaamanzzdee top 5
@@coreytrepagnier9343 I’m back 💪🏼💪🏼
Thank you for bringing up steve nash a tb to pure point guards and putting the song in the description
You're videos are excellent man. Really insightful stuff, thank you.
What I've realized by watching your videos; as a student of the game. Basketball is more like chess, sure it helps to be athletic. But understanding the movements and momentum of the defenders like Steve Nash did will elevate you from being an average ball player to a great ball player. Really love these videos 🏀
Simply amazing video. Definitely my new favorite basketball channel. Thank you so much for all of your hardwork and keep on making these incredible videos!
I see you with the 9th wonder instrumental!! Great vid and analysis too
One of my favorite players
Great vid as all of yours. Plz make one on Manu, would be a hell of a thing to watch.
Thank you so much for this video ❤️
Dude I love your vids.To me your the best person out here doing nba player basketball vids, because unlike you other youtubers try to break down a players shot and to me no one can copy a players shot everyone can't have the same mechanics but we can play like our favorite players and you make it so that we can.So I appreciate you man/woman for making these videos.Keep up the good work👌🏾💯
Excellent breakdown!
Keep up the good work and you will go far! Nice editing and music
This channel is gonna be huge.
Keep up the great work fellas.
Your breakdown videos are the best on TH-cam you definitely deserve more subscribers and views, this one is my favorite so far! I think next you should do Jason Kidd if you haven't already. Keep up the great work!
Amazing break down!
This is great analyzation of Steve’s offense arsenal!
wouldn't call him "extremely quick" nor "explosive" but he was so smart and so skilled.
I will forever cherish these videos and use them to my advantage
Facts
Keep doing what your doing bro! Love the vids!
Great video. You should have added also how he ran the fast breaks. Many of his assists came from him attacking a defender just the get right angle to create the space for a teammate to cut to the rim.
most skilled player of all time. you dont have that level of success at that size and athleticism without being absurdly skilled
Steve Nash is a legend!
love the music to these videos
New to this channel but great vids man. Keep it up
Great video ,watched all of the videos, waiting for the next one.also, could you do a jamal Crawford attention to detail
great job! luv the info steve snash was definitely a throwback . u gotta be from the mecca of bball DC lol
Best Nash video I've seen!
Perfect saturday learning from the best
Undeniably the best passer the game has ever seen. But a lot of people don't realize that his shooting ability was deadly.
great vid. CP3 attention to detail next pls
hey could you do like a breakdown of pick n roll play and its reads. Would help me and alot of young gaurds out alot.
Can't wait for a Larry Bird one. All the vids here have one of the best micro-breakdowns. Keep up the good work fellas.
Would love to see a video on Isiah "Zeke" Thomas...also breakdowns on classic teams like the Bad Boys of Detroit, Bird's Celtics, the Championship Rockets, and the early 2000's Kings
great video, you have earned a sub
hard to believe the low sub count ur content is crazy good
Ty
Nice
You are a genius!
Make a video on shooting. A lot of channels that claim to be shooting "experts" like Pro Shot fail in that they're always focused on the byproduct of good mechanics like the sway. Good shooting comes from balance (watch steph), keeping the ball straight, and release timing such that hip drive momentum is transferred into the ball. Everything else is really a byproduct of those things, yet all the channels don't really understand that
Nash is my boy
could you please do a kyle lowery/chauncey billups/Marc Jackson breakdown on how guards who are not the tallest or fastest with a bigger build use that as their advantage as opposed to being quick like Iverson or athletic and tall like Westbrook?
We need a post up player next 💯 Hakeem or even Tim Duncan 👌💯
One thing I noticed Nash did was when a defender would cut him off by bodying him to slow him down, he'd let the defender side of his body go limp to make himself narrow and not let the defender absorb his momentum. It also highlighted that the defender was bodying him, so the defender couldn't get any more aggressive as Nash slid by with the dribble.
How do you make these videos? Is it possible for me to be a part of it? I absolutely love videos like these with a passion. Making videos like these doesnt seem like work at all when you truly love the game. Keep it up. Attention to detail for chancey billups would be awesome
Idk if you do any older players but if you do you should do a prime Penny Hardaway one that would be sick!
Could you do classic joe Johnson . Like his Hawks days?
would u do a brandon roy? it just seems so effortless with him
Can you do breakdown of the between the legs/between the legs crossover (Tim Hardaway version)
Every effective point guard playing the game today incorporates a lot of what Steve Nash made popular: baseline drives while keeping the dribble alive through to the other side, floaters, scoop lays, off foot lays, splitting off the pick n roll, pulling up on the break. You can tell Kyrie did his homework. Dame as well.
My nephew ain't even know who he was! I started looking for a solid highlight and remembered By Any Means. Good looking out.
Solid music selection also, that little brother record? 🎶
Kemba also does that "negative" or scissor step
Nice beats
Alejandro Drake Feat. Phonte and Elzhi - Think Good Thoughts
Can we get a Jason Kidd breakdown that would be much appreciated 💯
Do you remember the name of this instrumental by any chance?
Do Wade please 😊
Where can I find this song I know it’s Anita baker but what mix is it... by the way how underrated Steve Nash is by ppl is ridiculous every point guard in this era has a sprinkle of steve nash in them from CP3 to Harden he is probably why Harden wears 13.. your favorite ballers favorite Baller... don’t @ me
A cp3 or even Chauncey Billups would be dope. Keep the content going, love these kinds of videos
Chauncey Would be great actually
Glad someone agrees lol
can you do one about defense. lockdown, get steals. etc
first Good Vid Plz think about the ball brothers
Can you do Jason Williams?

Please make a Jamal Crawford attention to detail or handles break down. Thanks :)
Yeah Dirk in depth would be dooope. Good job on the videos
Do a vid on Stockton
what's the backing track?
Break down angles passing and attacking
Great vid dude. Can you make this black frames with text a little bit longer next time? It's hard to read sometimes without stoping video ( 2 - 5 more sec should be perfect and won't make video much longer).
But again goood job i'm waiting for next player.
Yeah, no problem. I've been wondering if they're long enough!
Do a Dirk Nowitzki one pls one of the most skilled players to ever play the game.
Do milos teodosic!!! He's the best passer I've ever seen. Need to know how he does it!
Gotta do cp3 now

Came for NASHTY, CAME again for 9th.

Please add Jason Kidd, Mitch Richmond, Paul Pierce, Chris Webber, Baron Davis, and Scottie Pippen in time.. :)

Dude! F*ckin Nash should get a penny royalty for those dimes...alot of guys had careers because of him
how do you angle the body to get infront
try to get your shoulders and hips infront of the defender before he sets his feet and cutt you off...
