Legitimately one of the best point guards of all time. Everyone around him seemed to succeed. It was fun to watch a player of his caliber play the game the "right way"...never flopping, popping his nose back in place on the court, taking insane blows and getting up as if nothing happened rather than acting like he got shot.
Something about Nash's shot.... Idk what it is but it always got to me. The way it hits the bottom of the net amazes me. I wish he was more aggressive scoring the ball.
I love point guards such as Nash or Curry who always run the floor without changing of speed. It looks so comfortable and effortless. The ball seems to be never stopped and went to the basket so easily!
I only say that because Curry always talks about how growing up, he looked up to and wanted to play like Steve Nash...And now he does, just with better scoring.
Sucks he's retiring and I'm glad he went out in a major way with this big stats and his game assists due is so accurate with it and FT and I think he's probably the best FT shooter and assists he's up there with the best of them and CP3 still good tho but he's not on Nash level yet...I mean well CP3 is not far away tho to be honest but yeah..And even LA was screaming his name but we all know this was the end and I think he can be a decent coach.
When you watch players like Steve Nash, Jason Kidd and John Stockton, you can see what a real technical point guard looks like. This is why they are universally respected in the NBA. The same goes with Magic Johnson. They are generals on the field.
This was MVP form Nash and he really was feeling it with no hesitation on pulling up from the top of the key and or right elbow was all day!! lol!! Nice shoot out and amaaaazing rivalry between this two storied/respected franchises.
Yep that what I keep saying I'm not if it was the 2010series between Lakers and Phoenix Suns ( Nash, Kobe) I just remember it was the most intense series.
he play super effective... he control the team pace and flow so well.. with his passing plus super vision from him... give other teammate have a easy bucket and perfect tempo to play the game..
I remember the first time I watched Nash live was at the 2000 Sydney Olympics, the guy was unstoppable, it was like he had eyes behind his head setting up unbelievable assists, then his shooting was crazy. The best white guy I ever saw play basketball live.
Although Steve Nash retired, he went out in such a great way. He left with amazing numbers. He has a career FG% of 49%, 42.8% from behind the arc, and the best career FT% in all of NBA history at 90.4%. He is someone that the NBA needed. Players look up to him as a great player, and he changed the game. He played with the defending team's brains. You see similar tactics in current athletes like Steph Curry. They both rely on crafty maneuvers to get by defenders rather than just speed alone. This is why they are both amazing defenders, and Steve Nash will have a lasting legacy left behind in Curry.
Icaruz Curry is not an amazing defender. Never was, never will be. Curry is just another skinny shooter who wishes he had half the ball IQ, court vision, and passing abilities that Nash, had.
I miss Nash. I grew up watching him. Not Kobe, LeBron, Jordan, etc. A kid out of Canada with a heart as big as his work ethic, and he has inspired me to work just as hard.
jeez this was when he was slowing down too! and hes still running that offense to perfection! lost his a little speed but still has the vision, craftiness, and the shooting.
I remember watching this game in awe, I didnt think to much of it the Lakers were really good this year & Suns weren't so I figured they would get shitted on but I wanted to watch it anyway. Shit I was wrong Suns made a crazy comeback & I'm glad I watched, this was one of the best games I've seen in my life playoffs included. Steve Nash is an animal, when he fell outta bounds still kept the ball in play AND made the pass & they got 3pts out of it tsss So Nasty.
Steve nash video....... alot of curry bashing....... i saw one comment say "without steve nash, there would be no steph curry" ... okay so? you learn from watching other greats... there would be no kobe if it werent for MJ, prime example. yall hating for no reason, appreciate greatness and on this particular video, appreciate Steve Nash.
If I was picking a pg to run my offense it would be between Nash Stockton or Curry. None were great defenders but the way they pass and their shooting really spaces out the offense
Watching Nash play is a thing of beauty.
agree!
Absolutely.
Rob A. 20 assist damn
I remember him and his flowing hair ❤
Legitimately one of the best point guards of all time. Everyone around him seemed to succeed. lots of rotation and high arc
He was when he was in Dallas
how i miss the Steve Nash...
thanks for uploading
I love point guards such as Nash or Curry who always run the floor without changing of speed. It looks so comfortable and effortless. The ball seems to be never stopped and went to the basket so easily!
i miss this steve nash!
Damn, Nash was a god. Sad that he didn't get a ring, same for T-Mac.
Nash carried that team every night. Pretty incredible player
Without Nash, there would be no Curry..
Why?
I only say that because Curry always talks about how growing up, he looked up to and wanted to play like Steve Nash...And now he does, just with better scoring.
True

The sounds Pau Gasol makes when he shoots in traffic are hilarious
Stephen Sunday 😂😂😂😂
The reason why I've started playing basketball in the first place. Getting dishes for your teammates is a lot of fun.
5:36 damn that was a insane pass
This was MVP form Nash and he really was feeling it with no hesitation on pulling up from the top of the key and or right elbow was all day!! lol!! Nice shoot out and amaaaazing rivalry between this two storied/respected franchises.
Underrated clutch player one of my all time greats sux to not see him play no more
Saul Carrasco underrated? he won 2 mvps
Nick Pagano He said UNDERRATED CLUTCH PLAYER,dumb ass.
+Nick R Both of which he should've never won
+ey b0ss That's not your call lmao
ey b0ss your statement shows your lack of understanding of team basketball
I can honestly say this was one of the most suspenseful and exciting games in my 11years of watching the nba thank you dawkins for putting this up
Yep that what I keep saying I'm not if it was the 2010series between Lakers and Phoenix Suns ( Nash, Kobe) I just remember it was the most intense series.

He made offensively challenged people Look great
Looked at the 19 points be like: oh well, just another ordinary highlight. Then saw 20 assists: wtf
At 2:18 Nash makes Fisher look like a darn fool
as always
Nash Is a Great player miss this era of basketball pleasure to watch
Nash was pretty much the pioneer of this small-ball/3point era of basketball

Steve Nash was never an amazing defender. Do you even know basketball?
LOL. They are both shit defenders, and i love both but cmon bruh smh
+TheRealMVP At least nash played the passing lanes. He depended on his bigs for defense.
I miss Nash. I grew up watching him. Not Kobe, LeBron, Jordan, etc. A kid out of Canada with a heart as big as his work ethic, and he has inspired me to work just as hard.
Only thing I have to say is, Nash earned one of those MVP awards.
it looks to be so effortless for him to make those passes, but there's years of experience behind that
Great vid and I Gotta say channing frye was clutch
This man would find ANYBODY open. Truly miss Nash playing
If only nash were more agressive with his offense since he was a top shooter.
Given VC played with both Kidd and Nash, would be interesting to hear from him about two legendary PGs.
Best passer all time, great shooter also. Those nasty left hand layups 👍🏻
i can see the curry similarities, both rely on skill, very crafty, and both among the best shooters ever. both gonna have a MVP after this season too
And u can see even tho curry isn't at Nash's level at passing he's pretty good at it
What an exciting game. And made all the more enjoyable by the great commentary
Miss Nash so much.
this game was crazy
i think this is their best rivalry game
father time is a bitch
The sun have a great medical staff he'd probably be playing at a high level now if he stayed in Phoenix but his body has given up on him.
+J.R. Swish (Keem) Yeah. NBA 2K14 commentators are always talking about that. Lol.
Father Time in undefeated
What a game.
jeez this was when he was slowing down too! and hes still running that offense to perfection! lost his a little speed but still has the vision, craftiness, and the shooting.
damn steve nash. that save
I remember watching this game in awe, I didnt think to much of it the Lakers were really good this year & Suns weren't so I figured they would get shitted on but I wanted to watch it anyway. Man.. this was a championship team!! Wish Nash got one.
That lay-up at 1:06 was sick. Every teammate on the bench golf clapped that shyt 0.0
I miss this NBA.
Back When Position Roles Existed
I think it's safe to say that Nash is the greatest passer of all time
Flash and creativity for sure
+Hayden Keenit have you ever heard of larry bird and magic johnson?
This game in real time was so stressful. I really enjoyed suns nash man. Curry before Curry to be perfectly honest.
Don’t compare Nash to curry ever again
@@cursin stay mad
5:46 this has got to be in the top 10 best passes of all time
amazing game
He is truly a point god
Half of these are layups are dunks...not a lot of cheesy assists with Nash. All quality
This why Curry don't excite me... Nash did the same shit he does.. Except he set his teammates up far better.. Taking nothing away from Curry..
But I bet Kobe excites you?
Zay SlayHer Back then....
U blind? Curry best shooter in nba history. Saying Nash did everything curry is doing. ha
Bazooka KaKa History? Shut your young dumb ass up.. Fact.. NBA fans are Stupid.
+SDS Overfiend curry is overrated, and a nash wannabe
5:44 Just .... Unbelievable ..
i miss guys like nash and stockton. Although it may be that I miss great half court basketball
I miss seeing him play
Nash is still a thing marvel after all these years
Who doesn't like a teammate like steve?
Imagine if nash was a great defender. Would probs be regarded as 3rd best pg ever after magic and stockton
Who do you got for say top ten?
+Tren Clen Stockton isn't over Isiah or Kidd.
+Tren Clen No way Stockton is better than Isaiah
+Tony Parker He played 2
+rest Trash Talker nash is better than kidd
his basketball IQ and decision making on the court leaves me speechless. he doesn't have to score a single basket to excite the fans of basketball
If you played a drinking game, for everytime Kevin McHale said "great pass by Steve Nash" you'd been in the ER for alcohol poisoning
I miss Steve Nash
favourite point guard
My favorite player all time
Remember when the Lakers were good lol. Damn seems so long away
They're looking good this season!
BlazingApple stop
BlazingApple they sure did right? dumbass
Look at the date of the comment
We back
Suns have some awesome chemistry
If only the Lakers had this version of Nash a couple years ago..
Unbelievable pass @ 5:22
4:25 anybody else hearing "Steve Nash" instead of "Defense"?
I miss Steve everyday😕
Ryan Wow im jealous.. u probably got to see all the games on tv... i dont live in tht area so.. and i wasnt into bball as much when i was a young lad
Triple over time. Insane
Good old days when we've got healthy Nash and Kobe..
he's a tough ass player
This man was a walking double-double.
The goat pg in my opinion
smart player
4:10 Artest wide open in the corner
*I* wouldn't pass it to lakers Artest for a wide open three, very good player but dude was no offensive marvel with the lakers.
great basketball mind
I see a lot in curry the way he moves like nash
Steve Nash pioneered the Point Guard position, with out Nash there would be no Curry.
Kevin Harlan,Kevin Mchale duo is Best i swear🔥
this what i Call generousity
Imagine if Nash and Carter were 10 years younger here.
And Grant Hill that shit would be Finals worthy
When you realize Fisher has 5 rings and Nash has none
Steve GOAT!
If Nash shot more, I think he would have a chip.
Didn't seem that long ago, but just realized now all the NBA players are wearing fcking stockings on their arms and legs
I remember watching this game in fourth grade
Get off youtube.
Kobe is so good that he scores in other player highlights
nash looks like a greek god whilebon the court with his hair flowing backwards whilst running
Nash + Carter = Deadly duo. I they had been 6 years younger, they would have ripped the lakers in two.
lol its weird hearing kevin mchale as a commentator
imagining the box score for this game...
this suns lineup aint so bad
Steve nash video....... alot of curry bashing....... i saw one comment say "without steve nash, there would be no steph curry" ... okay so? you learn from watching other greats... there would be no kobe if it werent for MJ, prime example. yall hating for no reason, appreciate greatness and on this particular video, appreciate Steve Nash.
- BenIsTooGreat the person who said that was showing no hate my guy. If anything that shows more respect for Nash.
Did I see Channing Frye make a two pointer?
139-137 in 3OT. Miss these physical dogfights. Now days these numbers are put up in regulation.
This Suns team could’ve been good if they were all in their primes 😂. Nash, Carter, Hill, Frye, Gortat. That could’ve been scary.
If I was picking a pg to run my offense it would be between Nash Stockton or Curry. None were great defenders but the way they pass and their shooting really spaces out the offense
Keyser Soze I know this comment is old but John Stockton is a all time steal leader
