We were recently back in Vancouver, BC for a few days and since Patrick didn't travel with his cello, we recorded a few solo piano pieces that have been on our "must do" list for awhile. We've had tons of requests for this beautiful piece by Ludovico Einaudi - we hope you enjoy! Einaudi is an Italian contemporary classical composer well-known for his minimalist music and film scores. We're fans! We recorded this at the famous Warehouse Studio (owned by Bryan Adams!) in downtown Vancouver. (Also, Patrick filmed this and hates that he moved around so much in this take...but it was MY best take so we had to use it! He wants everyone to know it's not his best work! 😂😂😂)

I got so inspired by the piece "Toto Africa" and started also playing it on the piano. I'm starting on this one for sure! You gust should go to AGT because you need to win it and let America know how much passion and dedication you put in all your gorgeous pieces! I have listened to this version hundreds of times. It inspired me to finally start taking piano lessons in my 30's. After almost 3 years, I am FINALLY learning this song. I could cry I'm so happy.

Still one of the best arrangements of "Nuvole Bianche." Laird infuses just the right amount of emotion and heart into her playing. You can tell she's a master of her craft and plays with skill, ease and passion. A pleasure to listen to her play.
I have tried to listen to different versions of this by different musicians but I always end up right back here because it’s simply the best version out there. And as much as I would love to see your finger work all the way through, I dig the movement and different angle that Patrick got for this video. He’s a true artist even without his cello!

I completely agree-Marnie’s ability to convey emotion through her piano playing is mesmerizing. Her stage presence, combined with her mastery of dynamics, creates an intimate and enchanting experience. It’s not just music; it’s storytelling at its finest. And yes, her serene expression while playing adds an irresistible charm!
There are two ways to play this song: SLOW and expressive OR passionate and strong. This is the best example of the latter that I have found to date. Absolutely wonderful!
wow this recording is great. So many people play this piece on YT but just with the start one can tell that the pianist is very skilled and could play virtuose pieces without problems

Never have I ever heard anyone play this and it sound anywhere near as lovely as Einaudi himself. And then I heard this... absolutely gorgeous, stunning rendition ❤
You know, I think this whole "Oooh - I have a broken elbow!" thing of Patrick's is getting a little out of hand. It's only a bone, for goodness sake! When I was a kid, I had to crawl with no sleeves through the snow, to school and back, uphill both ways, with TWO broken elbows - but did I make a thing of it? NO - you won't find one video of me complaining about it. AND .. I love this piece, thank you Marnie.
