We’ve been so excited to release this one! We recorded it way back in the summer with our friend Cicely and had so much fun working on it. While she was in town, we also recorded a big project for our Brooklyn Classical channel together! We chose nine of our favorite opera arias and arranged them for cello and piano, and recorded live video performances of all of them. I can’t even put into words how wonderful your rendition makes me feel. It was a decent song before, but the way you covered it makes it one of the best songs I’ve ever heard. I love the alternating of the cellos and the look of love on everyone’s face. I know you all feel the music deep in your soul and I am in awe of all of your talents. As a long distance runner, I don't listen to music when running but, if I did, I think I would have this number on my play list ! I can well imagine running along trails in the alps on warm sunny days with this gentle number to keep me company and using it to keep pace !!

I'll try to explain why some people dislike this. The two girls were great. No complaints there. The guy here way over played it. I don't know if he was trying to show off or trying to add his personal touch or whatever but he completely ruined the entire piece.
Michael Lundy I think of the exact opposite way. I think he did a great job with playing that „aggressive“ haha it gave this piece way more tension on my opinion :)

Now, in my humble opinion Beyoncé should get down on her bended knees and thank you guys (as Emmie might say) for creating this lovely rendition of her song. (Did you know she's a favourite of Yuja Wong? - I just mention that en passant). Beautiful opening chords Marnie and delightful dialogue between cellos - especially at 1.28; 2.05 and 3.05.
