Rough break on the socket man! Beautiful engine! It was satisfying watching it come together.
I like the video, I just wish it were slightly brighter.

Klasse Video ! Hat wirklich Spaß gemacht zuzuschauen und ich freue mich auch viele weitere Episoden. Das ganze inspiriert mich wirklich sehr und ich hoffe irgendwann auch so ins Detail gehen zu können an meinem TT 🤙🏻

Better use for example Elring 292.011, it includes even assembly tool. Usually this need to be replaced one time in normal use. Cost in Europe ~25€. And lot easier replace that seal only.

I ended up getting the 034 motorsport RMS and kinda regret it cuz the holes didnt even line up with the holes in the block, had to machine them out, and as far as i know, i dont think it has replaceable lip seals either. lesson learned.

Ooof thats tough to hear. I nearly considered the 034 unit, but I have not really taken much interest in their products - glad I didnt.
Fit and finish of the iABED unit is top tier. Very well made!

Maybe could you talk in the next video about the hydraulic lifters? I heard few made mistake with them, because builders wasn't bleed them out a bit and ended up bend the valves at first start.

This is interesting - do you have any more information about this that I can look into?
There really isnt any reason for this to happen short of improper installation or startup procedures. Assuming timing is sound and everything being installed correctly, the hydraulic lifters need to be pressurized. This is done automatically when you crank the engine for a few seconds to build oil pressure, before you crank it over for startup. Since the lifters have a built in check valve, once pressurized, they cut the slack and clearance properly and eliminates any slack before you start it up.
So timing or install issues aside, I dont see where the lifters themselves might come in.

why not remove the stock oil cooler and put the aftermarket ones?

I'd rather use both as the factory heat exchanger does a really good job at regulating the temp between the two fluids as well as aids in bringing the engine up to temp faster.
