Great interview. Very fun. The gallery was especially good this time. Lots of great work, and a lot of kits I had never even seen before. Gonna have to think about Scalemates. Though, the last thing I need right now, is another distraction to keep me on the computer more than I already am.
Thank you so much for featuring our Jack Burton 1/4 scale bust (Kurt Russell) from Big Trouble in little China. Hope everyone likes it. The sculpt was by Jeff Yagher and paint was by Steve Parke 😊
Interesting to hear about the Masque of Red Death. I bought one from AKI at Wonderfest the first year it came out. By the next time I visited Mike's table a couple years later he told me it had been re-worked. I can't remember what details, but I think he told me that the area under the robe had been carved out to show legs, etc., and other general detailing.
Big Daddy Dave Rules. My first crush was probably either Kathryn Lee Scott (Josette/Maggie Evans) or Lara Parker (Angelique) from Dark Shadows. I got to speak with Kathryn, as she handles the orders for her own books. ALSO, I loved Jason's comment about turning into Scott... about not building, but I'm glad he got a little painting group started for the D&D figures. I've been doing a group about 30 miles to the south called "Tuesday Night Model Club" and it's only 6 guys but it has motivated me to build on a weekly schedule. Seeing how Phil isn't around to kick me in the butt.
Yup - Caroline Munro (Golden Voyage of Sinbad 1973) but also had a thing for Kim Richards (Escape to Witch Mountain 1975) as she was probably a little more "girlfriend" material! I met Ms Munro a few years ago and she's still lovely. In the UK we also have her introducing Friday night horror films on the Talking Pictures TV channel 😊
Yes, time is running out! I just looked. I have 6 more weekends to wrap up WF entries. 😳 Gonna have to get it in gear if I want to clear some of this stuff off my bench In that time frame, the weather is going to get nice, and I will also need to get home projects moving as well. So far, I only have 2 entries finished. As far as crushes. First I think was Penny from Lost In Space. Then it was Jodi Foster in The Little Girl Who Lives Down the Lane. Will comment again later after I watch the interview.
Giveaway entries closed as of 4/22
