Honda being very canny and using the UK as a world base for the Civic. They seem to have more confidence in us than do other car companies who seem to be bleating for 'compensation' because of a democratic vote ....
Highlighted reply I hunk this is a convenient excuse to blame Brexit, it’s more because of the tariff free access from the recent trade agreement between the Eu and Japan that it’s now cheaper for then to make them in Japan and then ship shit over.
@@springer3783 Think about it, the UK is leaving the EU right. Why would they stay in the UK after having signed a 0 tariff deal with the EU? If the UK would have stayed in the EU there was no logical reason to move back to Japan.
EM 93 Because they want to employ more people in Japan maybe, Because they want the electric motor tech to be in Japan Because diesal is done Use of existing facilities in Japan No need to spend in facilities in U.K. Save money There’s plenty of reasons And my problem isn’t with Honda leaving , it’s the remoaners latching in every piece of bad news and using it to further the anti Brexit views. Honestly why do we vote like there’s no point if it’s going to be ignored
