I bought used a 2008 Civic Type-S 1,8 petrol at 2018, it is still my daily driver and was assembled there. Great fuel efficiency for the 140hp, good handling and most importantly it never breaks and requires little to no maintenance (mostly oil, filters and break pads). Swindon factory built great cars.
I had a 2010 2.2 diesel si from new. Kept it for 9 years and the only thing I changed on it apart from tyres,was 1 headlight bulb. Changed it for a new A class and when I went to pick the new car up was told a mercedes mechanic had bought my civic. Lovely engine that 2.2 ctdi. Mercedes has been great,but I test drove the new civic hybrid 2022 and it's brilliant. So impressed that I've ordered the sport in white. It drives fantastic. Well done Honda.
@@GazMonty I think you're right! Considering that the type R was on sale from 2007 and this was filmed in 2006 they probably weren't in production then. Such a pity though becuase I really wanted to see them being manufactured! :D

I own a Honda Civic diesel 2.2 iCTDI, made in the U.K. Now it has 185 horsepower, 370 nm. I enjoy driving it.
500 000km, only cluth changed, oil and all filtres every 15k km.

Me too! I think this was just when the MK8 was brought out and the Type R was a few months away.
