    I bought Doug’s book a week ago
    Implemented the exercises as instructed
    In just a short few weeks , my shoulder joint and elbow joint pain has just about gone , my weights have increased by at least 20% in correct form and I notice growth in my muscles I haven’t experienced in years ( I’m nearly 50) , so thank you so much !!

    Doug is the real deal; he obliterates all the bro science floating around on the internet. Bring us more of this biomechanical genius! Thank you, Ric!

    i watched another youtube video today by fairly respectable athlete on cable tricep pressdown. he said that the most resistance was at the bottom when your elbow is locked out. well, according to Mr.Brignole and science it's when the active lever is perpendicular to the resistance ie. 90 deg bend in the elbow with a vertical humorous. i'm very thankful that Ric and Doug are educating us lay people in a way we can understand. just wish i had heard about bio mechanics decades ago. oh also, very inspirational to see Mr.Brignole at 55 with a young man's physique!!

    I tried the horizontal lateral raise. It does focus the contraction in the side deltoid better than the standing version. Thanks.

    Great stuff, really enjoyed these videos.
    Working muscle at its longest and shortest seems to work really well.
    Can you do a video on the range of motion for each muscle group ?
    Cool music at the end.

    Man I watch you guys a lot sometimes over and over still learn stuff and I’m not new to this been strong now old but still workout hard but light. Never took steroids never a b.b. the olympics lifts and back in the sixties odd lifts! Weird stuff like behind the press and curl against a wall all cool stuff. Loved it. Anyway fun watching you guys. Never took steroids if I did I would have been world class.

    I'm surprised Ric can still walk... let alone train.
    I saw that picture with the annotations of all the injuries he sustained throughout his career... would almost fill a book o.O

    I think everybody is built differently, cause I have good chest development from just doing bench pressing.

    • @richbrake9910
      @richbrake9910 ปีที่แล้ว

      I had good chest development from just doing bench pressing, but for that extra 10% or 20% more muscle development, Doug's choice of exercises are the way to go. We are all indeed built differently, however, we will all get more out of the best and same exercises. Another thing Is genetics are the number one factor in determining how much muscle you can build. People with the best genetics are going to be able to build the most muscle regardless of how they train. This is why it is silly to point out a professional or even an amateur bodybuilder who trains the conventional way. There is a guy who often points out all professional athletes train conventionally. This may or not be true; however, the pro athlete's primary goal is not building muscle.

    He teaches to flare elbows on bench? thats impingement of the tendon though. and bad form. every PT teaches you need to keep your shoulders tucked a little to make more room in the joint.
