- The all-time Bears record score of 33.21.219 came against Sydney at the Gabba in the traditional early Sunday arvo C7 timeslot that seemed exclusive to them in the 1990s. Brisbane kicked 19 unanswered goals in the first half; the game’s first 21; and 27 of 29 through 3QT - eventually running out 162-point winners.
All goals seen here -- including 2 bombs from Buckley -- by the 11 goal-kickers, including 7 multiples, led by Merrett and Michael Murphy, who each kicked 8.

Love to watch Ashcroft as a young fella!
His son Will Ashcroft will be better
@@kye9735apparently younger brother is even better which is wild lol
I bet Barassi would have had steam coming out of his ears. I bet he gave the swans a massive spray
Bad news bears still having a crushing win, good stuff.
Matthew Kennedy was unlucky not to play in a premiership
Free kick Merrett!!!
Why did Buckley ever leave Brisbane. He could have been a three times Premiership player.
I believe that he wanted to go to Collingwood b4 the draft & signed on the condition that he'd give them one year
I remember this game, worst two teams in the league yet the Bears look like flag favorites that day... Swans were just that much much worse
possibly the worst performance in AFL history
What about Melbourne vs Geelong Round 19 2011.
@@bennwinkler-reidy3005 it's a close thing, but the Bears were terrible in 1993, and the Cats were Premiers
@@gerardoneill5556 all true we can agree both pathetic performances.
@@gerardoneill5556 may have been Premiers if there was a Final 7 that year
Remember the media saying this was a game Sydney were expected to win.
