**This is a REMAKE of the original Mk-II review in order to avoid a copyright strike ** Basically, I need to re-upload my older videos because of the background music, so figured why not remake them with my newer setup? This is a complete redo, with nothing but the original script carrying over, and even that was just as a reference. The original video will remain up, because TH-cam is probably going to take it down themselves anyway, so whatever~ lol
I love this kit, I got the titans version a while back and painted it with a metallic dark blue gundam marker (never again) and recently got the aeug version to do a battle damaged display of it with the included base.
I’ve been looking at starting at gunpla and I’ve been looking at this kit for a while now even though it’s a bit older along with Tallgeese MG.. I think I’m sold!
I just wanted to say that in the review of this kit by Citrus, he reviewed the Titans version and not only did it not have the plastic sheen highlighted in this video but in fact it looked perfectly in line with its anime color scheme. He mentioned in the comments that he used some kind of matte topcoat, so I think you were right. That kit can still look amazing with the right finish, it seems. I wonder if some nail polish or glue on the joint could address the looseness on the hip joint. If that's the case, I think I want a Mk 2 2.0 in Titans colors, but it's such a bummer that it does not come with the deck stand.
Small tip for anyone looking to deal with the titans ver. If you don't want to/cant paint you can always use a melamine sponge (Mr. Clean magic eraser). They're rough enough to give you a matt like surface, but gentle enough to not deform plastic. (Though I'd still recommend not going over board just in case)
FA-78-3 Full Armor Gundam is the only kit I remember that the head is a whole piece and not divided in half. Even some latest HG and MG kit I see doesn't have this feature.
Got the daban full armor mk2 recently and comparing it with the bandai titans mk2 realy made me apreciate the older proportions style. I like my uc suits to be more chunkier compared to my ce but seems like everyone likes the slimmer redesigns we get
Love your reviews man! Keep up the awesome work! One question, would you consider reviewing the original master grade nu gundam/comparing it to the ver ka?
@@rashyyy3243 oh no. It was my first master grade and I had a blast making it! Actually I found the building of the kit the best part! High grades were getting a bit repetitive and tedious to build. I'm don't know how someone who has NEVER built gunpla before will take it as like said I've built a couple of high grades before it already. But I think you should be ok, just know that it's not something that takes only a couple of hours to build. It takes like a week of commitment. But trust me, it IS a really awesome kit! It will treat you well. Just enjoy the build and take your time
I think if I had both of these kits to build I’d switch their frames. The purple frame inside the White MK II would look way better in the titans version and I think the titans grey frame would look way better in the AEUG version.
So the back thrusters are red and the side skirts are red. Does that mean that the side skirts are also thrusters? Or more likely they’re recharge racks for the beam rifle.
Great review! Been wanting to get this MG for a while. Is there anywhere where I can find the reissue of the a.e.u.g version or is there any way I can tell if it's a reissue?
Since only the first run had the bad waist swivel all of the kits will most likely be the reissue. Big bad toy store has this thing for preorder and is estimated to arrive in july
I remember there is a HD colors version of the titans version and its super shiny like Gloss to another level lke it looked so pretty you should watch Kakarot197's review of it
polycap might worn out overtime, but with the newer introduce polycapless kit recently by bandai is not doing a good job either in fact worst in my experience. Yes the polycap might loose overtime but u can always tighten up by a coat, super glue or nail polish without afraid of too over tight that prone to break or snap, polycapless on the other hand, is like a double edge swords, u cant be too loose or too tight. U cant apply a coat or a layer of glue as plastic rubbing against plastic might end up grind off the layer or causing stress mark and snap. Take zaku 2.0 as a good example, it got all the polycap on the main joints and somehow still hold up perfectly fine
thomas kok yeah, I’ve noticed it’s very case by case too, usually based in the size of the kit. I have the Turn A and F91 ver 1.0, both polycap-less and years old, and the F91 can still hold poses but the Turn A can barely stand up straight. Same can be said for kits with polycaps. The legs are pretty heavy because of all the engineering, so the hip polycap has some serious issues.
Modern kit tend to go over detailed and ridiculous proportions... which this older 2.0 has in spades... maybe im a type of guy who wants to have an anime accurate model rather than having katoki influence on it. Ehem.. MG Epyon and Proto Zero
I still have it which I bought in 2009, At the time, I was looking for a Gundam similar to RX-78 but with more military looks, I was also interested with the Titans version but the color of the kit is too dark for me. It still standing up right on my shelf.
I think I just found my new favorite gunpla TH-camr
I completely agree with you, he's reviews are very chill and he actually review every model with a perfect way
If I've learned anything from collecting Gunpla,
Things usually get real good once the MkII is released in that line
The best old school master grade reviewer 👏
For me rrobberts184, but this guy is also good
@@melaniawong8783 fair enough
Wait so your a MILF hunter, a gamer AND you build model kits!
Jesus you've got it all Kakyonin!

RedHeadphones6 MG 2.0 RX-178 Gundam Mark II Review 2.0.
@@gomine5971 Now I just need to make a review of this review: "MG Gundam Mk-II ver 2.0 review ver 2.0 review!" lol
me too because I have a few outtakes so just to make sure make no mistakes
I loved the 2.0 it was like a scaled down version of the PG

I have both since like 12 years. Very nice kits. i've sprayed both with matt clear top coat.
Love your channel. You review all the things I'm interested in, unlike other reviewers lol.

I will always believe that the first "prototype" for a 2.0 was the MG Rx-78-02 ver OYW, it even has similar hands to early 2.0
Love your reviews man! Keep up the awesome work!
One question, would you consider reviewing the original master grade nu gundam/comparing it to the ver ka?
Would love to see that too
Not many notice the waist parts where updated..just like the scopedog.
This inerframe looks spot like the gundam samieri ik 2
One of my first gundam that started me to the gunpla collection..but i started with the non grade 1/100 which required gluing..
Just for those wondering, you won’t experience the loose polycaps on these sets once painted and topcoated.
This kit looks like you could get a good Deathscythe styled Build model.
Great production value!
great review as always. thanks!
I just bought this Kit (The Titans version). It's my first MG!
Still need to build it.
how was it? is it hard to build? i'm planning to buy this as my first kit

Thanks for that info. Im wasn't sure if the titans come with the mini base accessory or not.
So I could do an RX-0 style kitbash if I get both? Cool.
