I was late for posting this video and didn't finish until after the state fair ended :( but that's okay I wanted to post it anyway. I had a couple thoughts on state fair stuff and I made a video on those things. The state fair food primarily. Thank you to Jaiden to doing a little voice bit in the beginning there. It was literally one word but hey credit where credit is due.
The state fair has good food. I love it so much I was sad I couldn't go this year. There's corn dogs, cheese curds, french fries, cookies, milk and a ton more. There's a lot of other foods that I hate though but it's a big part of why people go in the first place. To each their own.
This video took longer to make because I was programming new tools to make the animation process easier. It was... kind of a weird thing to do. I hope it made the process faster but I didn't measure it so ..oops!
I'm going to try to post a couple more times before the year ends. It's been too sparse this year.

Over here in Australia I would absolutely LOVE it if we had vendors that sold biscuits by the pail and ice cold milk. That sounds f*cking incredible, as does waffle burgers, chips by the pail, and quite frankly, that strange buffalo sauce chicken bun thing. But not jalepeño lemonade. Whatever twisted fiend came up with that is sick in the head. Cold beverages are meant to be refreshing, NOT HOT. Perhaps this is just a person from a country with legendarily hot summers thing, but the point still stands.

Do not slander the jalapeno cucumber lemonade. It's really good. It's more cucumber lemonade with the taste of a roasted jalapeno there's no spice to it. It's just a really good, interesting flavor

Honestly, a toast stand isn't a bad idea. It's a simple, cheap food that's great for walking around with, and has a wide variety of toppings that can cater to both people with more normal palates and the people going for more exotic foods.
The simplicity would definitely stand out
Plus, when I just need something to eat because I don't take care of myself but I want to drink a beer, eating some delicious buttered toast while I sip a good beer sounds like SUCH A GOOD EXPERIENCE for a fair

Doughnut burgers were a thing for a couple years at my state fair. As much as I hate to admit it they were actually incredible and I miss them, even with all the weird stares and loss of trust of your friends

I’m from Minnesota and I worked in the building with the butter sculptures, and no, no one has taken a bite out of the butter heads, but the butter princesses do say that they give them to family to use for baking, so yeah

Toast might actually work, but you need more than butter! My favorite type of toast is cinnamon sugar toast, but I also love toast with jam or jelly (I don’t remember the difference between jam and jelly), and my aunt likes toast with honey! You could also do avocado toast or even bruschetta toast!

As someone who was originally from Minnesota, I can confirm that the state fair does in fact have butter people.
And almost everything's on a stick, including beer.

I love state and county fairs, so many fun menories. My favorite fair foods have always been walking tacos and deep fried oreos 😋

I think a case could be made for the Iowa state fair, happening right now! We have everything Minnesota has, but better! (I am heavily biased, being an Iowan myself) this year we have a butter Caitlyn Clark. We also have a 550lb butter cow, rides, fried food, animals, animals, more animals, a For king and country concert, and it’s the fourth largest state fair in the U.S. highly recommend if you have the time towards the end of your summer.

As a fellow Minnesotan state-fair goer, I can confirm that the cookies are far to bingeable. I had two buckets. It was amazing and I felt terrible afterwards.

I love this video. This really hit home for me. I pretty much grew up at the MN State Fair. My dad (my parents) had a booth there, so every year we went, it was like seeing all our old family members again. I loved so many different things about the whole "The great MN get together" but there was just something about being there as everyone was getting set up for the year, even before the fair grounds opened. Just the sounds and smells the sights, just watching everyone setting up their area. The drilling, hammering, and sawing, the wonderful smell of wood being cut. It was fun helping our parents get things set up, but getting to run around as a kid/teen behind the scenes before the place even opened to the public, now that was exciting! Even after it opened for the year, getting discount tickets to the Grandstand or just running off to explore while my parents were busy working. There was just so much fun things to do and see. Even to see what new and exciting foods were there for the year, but knowing me, I'd still prefer my usually go-to, a footlong with ketchup and extra onions, then a grape snowcone for dessert or some freshly cut pineapple on a stick. That place just brings back so many great memories. Even leaving, when closing up evening. The whole fair would start to die down, and it would just become a whole different atmosphere. Heading out after dark, with the different colored lights in the distance all around. The nice cool breeze with all the wonderful smells still wafting through the air were so awesome. I remember just walking to the car at night felt like forever. Your mind and your body were just ready to be done for evening, especially your feet, and we were young; I can't even imagine how my parents felt, but I loved it. Even getting to falling asleep in the car on the way home felt so amazing, as my mind kept going back and thinking about all the fun things we did and got to experience there at fair.

Andy, as a Minnesotan you should come back to Minnesota, town fairs can be true hidden gems, i was at the marshall county fair and they dropped a buick from a crane and let the audience control the crane by yelling at the operator and they had us try to get the car to drop on the pole, such a good memory

I was 4-Her. I raised pigs for 5 years, goats for my last year. That and 2 specific rides were the only reasons I went. The 2 rides? 1001 nights, and tilt-a-whirl. And look, as 4-Her's, we got free rides. The only negative part was waking at 5 am to go and spend a really hot day trying to keep your pigs well fed and from sitting in poo. There were no breaks. Well, almost. But it was great, and even if you were too tired, you just napped using your pig as a pillow. You don't want to know how often I did that lol.
