Calculate the acceleration of the system.

im trying to solve the problem where there is a third mass hanging from the right side of the double inclined planed. It is connected to the other 2 masses by a pulley and the forces acting on it are the gravitational force and the tension from the rope. Can someone help? I cant find it online.

I don't understand why you took 50.2 N instead of 29.4 N as the component along friction should be that one

He's using the y components and not the x. If you are using the angle of 30 and not the handle of 60. then yes that will be your x-component, and then 50.2 is your y. That Logic doesn't apply on the other side because it's a 45-45-90 triangle and 2 angles are the same meaning they both are 62N. Hopefully, that helps

How can we know there is more than one acceleration?
Can the acceleration of the system differ from the individual mass?
If acceleration if negative what does it show in addition to taking the wrong direction?

Thank you for the effort but the force along the plane is sin of the angle of the plane to the horizontal. If you're using 60 for the lefthand plane, you're using angle to the vertical so that would be cosine 60. Try it again and see?

There's a suggestion for you buddy if you don't mind -
Please make videos on concepts and then at the end, add some question.
This will help us more and will attract more viewers.
    BTW Thanks for explaining.

Why did you use the angle of 60 and not the given angle of 30. It makes it very hard to know if the answer would be right without doing any extra step

I believe if you use 30, you'd have to use cosine instead. Try it, see what happens...
