I bought a beat up old 2WD Stampede cheap off of Ebay. Made it into a brushless beast now. Can't wait to watch your series. And yes I swapped out the screws and added bearings.

Two of my RC friends across the street have these Stampedes in 2wd! It's a very quick little rig. It's definitely meant as an entry level RC to introduce someone to the hobby in my opinion after what I've seen, buy when you start getting rowdy with it, expect to be looking for your tool kit! :)
You think it’ll break a lot?
@@RCKnockout no it doesn't brake that much just needs like a cupple rpm upgrades and some nice drive shafts LOL if you make the sliper clutch tight! if you can run some sort of plastic piece across the body post so basically what you should do is take a piece of plastic that straight and drill a hole on each side of the body post in the front and then screw on the plastic plate because it can break super easily!!

YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH THANKS SO MUCH!!!!!!!!! I CANT WAIT TO SEE THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! what I did with my Traxxas stampede is i put a arrma kraton v1 4s motor in it and a 3s blx esc in it and on 2s lipo it runs for 1 hours
edit! put on the body washers that body will not last you that long 😂😂😂 probably liek 20 runs

I went ahead and slid my antenna between my rear body mounts, still has the same amount of range and you don’t have to fumble around trying to get The antenna to go through the body
That makes sense…bit now it’s sticking out the top of the antenna tube, right?

I upgraded my 8 year old 2wd brushed stampede recently. Castle Copperhead esc 1412 3200kv. I used a 4s battery but found it added too much weight so went back to 2s. Was breaking things left and right on 4s.
Check out proline body posts for adjusting the body.
RPM has extended wheelbase arms which might be a nice upgrade. It's top heavy stock and rolls over on corners easily.
Not a big fan of the wheelie bar design so I am going for a RPM rear bumper soon.

I have two stampedes and I cut both of the antennas and the range wasn’t really effected
Really? I’ve done it and the range is cut down big time…..you tucked the antenna into the receiver box? Or you have the antenna sticking out the top?
I put all the extra in the receiver box

I believe the 272 Magnum only comes in the newest gen Stampede with the lights installed.
I think I’m wrong about that after researching.

Gonna watch what ya do to this. Most of my cars are 2wd stampedes. Only 1 is damn near fully upgraded. Can't wait to see the progression.

Cool truck, I was at one point looking at a 2wd Stampede but i'm slowly running out of space to store my RC's and i'm not really a fan of the cheap brushed Traxxas vehicles except the Slash 2wd since they have bushings and philips head hardware. and i'm thinking about selling my 2wd Slash to make room for other new cars i hope you have fun with your new Stampede.

You can also run 2s lipo, have to hold power button for like 15 seconds or so, so low voltage mode is activated. 👍🏻

Hope so! A lot of people have been asking for this build
I have 3 vintage stampede. 1 of them was a pile of crap. U would brake a caster going down a straight line. The plastic was weak. However the new ones are much better, better plastics better fitment. It's funny that traxxes still uses the same style screws and bushing. I found the bushing to be better on the vintage, the bearings at the time were weak and broke easy. Glad that has changed for the better. These where great bashers/back yard trucks.
Well it’s good to know that Traxxas has improved the Plastics throughout the years! So far I’ve been impressed with the Stampede! Fun little truck

Take antenna out use lighter bend antenna 90degree works great and it is under the body

I had a stampede 2wd I ended up changing the chassis and making it a slash basically all the 2wd Traxxas cars are the same
That’s true….a lot of the parts are interchangeable from my understanding

@@RCKnockout I know but it would be cool to show that if you don't like the car it can be changed for around $50 like say if you buy a stampede and discover oval or drag racing it can be changed into a different car I know you're chanel is kinda aimed at beginners I enjoy watching it
