Youre very calming, like a miniature painting version of Bob Ross, and i love it.

Thanks for this vid...I've been experimenting with trying to get the exhaust effect on the side of a 1/32 Spitfire...I didn't do well with spraying it as it just seemed to look like sprayed on which the rest of the model is so I wiped it all off again... I then tried weathering powder (and some soft pastels which bashed in a bag to get it to dust)...I managed a lovely effect with white and black...The white went inside the black and was very realistic...The only issue I had was 'How do I seal it in place?'...I noticed that is you use a varnish then the lighter colours disappear and the darker colours are less effected...So it was good to see someone actually just leave them alone with no seal...I have yet to see if the hand traffic that models get will take this effect off if its unsealed...but good to know that other modellers just leave them sometimes...Thanks again for an informative vid...From the UK...

quick tip you can make your own pigment from colored charcoal or chalk or even colored pencils by either scraping them with a blade or using fine sand paper to grind and make the powder regular pencil lead makes an excellent metallic powder that can be used to highlight the edge of worn metal objects

Interesting that you don't want gloss because it won't run; in miniature painting and washes, gloss is preferred because it breaks the surface tensions and helps it run into the cracks.

yes, but that's an early stage wash versus this late stage so we want the other way. I'm from miniature painting too, that's one of my early areas - Warhammer 40k. :)
