Scale Model Weathering for Sci Fi Beginners with Lincoln Wright

- Maschinen Krieger MK44 Whiteknight Weathering Tutorial using commercial products plus suggested alternatives as a blurry Pin Wash.
This approach can really be used on all genres of scale models, this time I am demonstrating on a classic Space White finish for you and this way of doing it is especially attractive and appropriate on Maschinen Krieger Space Models. The one I show is a MK44 Whiteknight and it’s a 1/20 scale plastic model kit from Hasegawa Models. It can be done with both commercially available products as well as home made, let me take you through 2 easy versions of it.

This is one of the best videos I've come across on YT about weathering and has been super useful. I'm getting back into model making as an adult with only having experience from my childhood putting together snap kits and not painting them. I also came across machinen krieger from your channel and hope to build one sometime this year.

Beats pouring coffee on your model. Space white = white with a touch of yellow. I had a set of acrylic paints with a shade of white called "grandma's teeth". It was perfect. 😀

Most welcome Joshua, the scheme is just white and off-white but it's the layers that make it work. I have a step by step to get this look in my new book, coming out next month fingers crossed.
