Good to see Quinns custom work evolving from his first bracket to now. One thing though. I know you don't show every step but Quinn smoked a bigger hole in the body for the over-fender bolts and immediately put a riv nut in. Wouldn't it make sense to touch up the edge of the new hole on the metal body so it dies not rust?
Word of advice (and im sure you guys know this already) but I’d always try to keep the engine/trans to be right in between the legs of the engine puller. I had an accident about a year ago where I did the exact same thing you guys did and let the trans swing to the side and I guess it was too much weight and flipped the whole engine puller and dropped the engine and trans on the ground 😂 ofc different engine so it was a different weight but it was the same engine puller, just be careful I’d say.
If you guys ever got to work on the project of BMW M3 GTR, please do make it in sports version as it is shown in NFS MW with spoiler and blue and white color

I think it was Tommyfyeah (correct me if I'm wrong?) who explained why mechanics use so much rtb in Japan. The car owner will get a huge fine, if Your car drips fluids. Doesn't matter if it's coolant, oil or washer fluid. And after that the mechanic shop will be in disgrace or something in those lines.
Are you going to make some fender liners for this thing so the gaps in the body kit don't end up collecting a ton of detritus? Would be good for rust prevention and work against rattles too tbh.

@@huckhuckhuck They couldve just pulled the engine and sent the shell in for paint. Then they couldve painted the engine bay. I’m wondering if sourcing engine parts was the problem initially. Either way, really glad they’re doing some engine work to it

So you held the throttle open on the first cylinder that you checked but closed on the rest. Wouldn't that throw your numbers off from your first reading?
Please revive the RB20DET by all means. Swapping 1JZ or 2JZ is not fun. The power is certainly not as good as the 1J and 2J on the RB20DET, but instead you can enjoy a wonderful exhaust sound. The RB20 is indispensable for the HCR32 skyline that I live in and is proud of in Japan and that I have owned in the past.
Smaller holes. Often times the body kit hardware is too close to the edge of the part and the well nut holes are too large making them visible along the edge.
RB20DET with like a 9000rpm rev limit and shmedium sized turbo would be insane! 300-350whp capabilities.. if thats cool with you. The 2JZ tho! It would be a lil wrong tho.
That's such a let down keeping it rb20.. they're so hard to make reliable power out of... if it were me I'd go with a rb25det neo with arp head studs and mls head gasket it will make a reliable 400+ hp with a nice turbo, ecu and fuel system

Nice video! Why not add some ATF to the cylinders and do a wet compression test? That will help you confirm if its more of a ring issue vs valve seat

Most likely a time frame issue with paint shop. So they opted to get it done then instead of waiting.

Just know everything is done for a reason. In this case, we did the process backwards for our own reasons.
