That's my dad!!! The guy laughing you talk about in Phoenix 😂 His laugh is unforgettable. He's had a hard year this year, and your show really made his whole week. Thank you for being you!
Love you Nate but I’ve got to say Brian, Aaron and Dusty really held things together while you were gone. I think Aaron spoke more last week and he does in his own standup specials and not only did they have us laughing but they have each other cracking up. I wasn’t sureWhat do you expect with you out but was very happily surprised. And Brian’s joy sitting in your chair last week was the cherry on the top.
Brian, the burner accounts are getting out of control. 😆 The guys weren’t bad but Nate’s absence was extremely missed for my husband and I. Like a one off with just the guys is one thing but twice in one month was too much- as much as we love them- Nate is necessary.
Brian (I mean, Barney) is like the young adult Sunday School teacher who is always trying, and failing, to bring the class back on topic. Keep up the good work. All four of you guys are great!
I’m currently listening to this episode while driving (lots of windshield time) so I never get to watch these episodes on TH-cam. But not going to lie, when Nate started talking about watching his special with Harper, and how he didn’t want to even move, so that their moment would last as long as possible, I was just so moved. I had to pull over to bring up this episode so I could comment about it. This, coming right after talking about how it’s tough to watch movies when he knows it’ll be emotional. This just shows how much of a softie Nate really is. Love you guys, and your show! Almost felt like a proud friend, watching your new special. Keep it up boys, and all the good feels! - Brad
Love Nate's sharing of his vision - it is a humble, vulnerable thing to share a dream with anyone let alone subscribers you've never met. So so cool. Thanks for sharing.
My all time favorite callback from Nate was when his aunt and uncle were fist fighting. “Is there any chance that this is about recycling?” Gold Jerry gold!!
I TOTALLY agree with just wanting to consume fun content. I get very affected by what I watch/read/listen to, so it's hard for me to find shows that I like when every time I open Netflix, there is a new documentary about a serial killer or a twisted psychological drama. Thank y'all for being a source of pure joy and lightheartedness in my week!
Sandlers style has become so iconic that high schools now have a Sandler Day as part of their school spirit dress up days. I am the booster club sponsor at the school where I teach and it was literally the most popular dress up day during the football season. I watch the podcast in my classroom every week during my lunch break. As kids filter in and out they get more and more interested as to who you guys are. I’m slowly building up to trying to sell them on Slay Day next year so we can break out long wigs, trucker hats and wire rimmed glasses.
I enjoyed the breakdown of the slider door story. Please break down jokes anytime! I hear Nate mispronounce words and have no clue about history so often I think how does this guy make so much more money than me? But hearing him break down a joke, explaining call backs, how he places jokes for the optimum laughs helps me understand why he gets the big bucks. He is a master of his craft - and I’ve attended enough open mics to know what Nate has is a rare skill. Many thousands of people graduate from colleges (like Notre Dame) with a vast knowledge of science, math, history, etc… but very few can see the world like Nate and recognize the optimum way to recount what happened for optimal laughs. Love you guys.
It's been said before, but watching Aaron while Dusty reads his ad is one of the greatest parts of this show. He tries so hard not to mouth the whole ad and occasionally slips and mimics what Dusty is saying. Y'all should do a supercut of Aaron doing this because it is funny every time.
@@acideauxrivarda3352 one of the first episodes was about crime. They included a joke that Nate told on a late night show. One of their early ideas was to have topics related to one of their jokes. However, they didn't have the rights to show the clip, and the episode was removed by TH-cam. This led to many people (including myself) contacting Brian via Facebook, Twitter, and maybe even an old school telegram. I've seen Dusty a few times and even ran into him at Kroger parking lot and he looks show ready all the time. It's who he is and haters are upset and jealous of the hair and hat. We're Having a good time!
I know this is bringing it way back, but I just love the show so much. The other day I was listening to the 7th episode, about crime. Just for reference, my alexa is named echo, which was never said on the show. Y'all were talking about how robots would take over the world, and take pity on the humans who were nice to them, then a couple minutes later, my echo says "thank you for your kindness." I was laying down, and it was completely out of the blue! Looks like I have a good chance when the robots take over. What do y'all think?
I think I saw Nate on every talk show in America this last few weeks. We are staying in a hotel room, can't wait until my family wakes up so I can listen to this episode!
After listening to Dusty read comments last week, and over a year of listening to Nate trying his best, I think “Learning to Talk with Ms. Rachel” should be required viewing for the whole Nateland crew!
Ms. Rachel taught our son sign language. We didn't even realize it until Christmas when he was signing "thank you" and his grandma pointed it out. She was a school teacher and started recording youtube videos during the pandemic. Now she's gotta be raking it in. Icky Sticky Bubble Gum is a jam.
Discovered the podcast after seeing Hello World. I’m the youngest of 6, raised by 80s & 90s Christian parents as well. They were really strict, but also became my best friends. Thanks to Nate, A-Aron, B-Minus, and Dusty. Love the special and the podcast.
Love your vision and dreams for Nateland. There’s no doubt that you’ll achieve it. Thanks for sharing your gift/talent…this world sure needs it these days. Stay true to yourself.
I wonder if Nate ever gets tired of explaining why he keeps his comedy clean! I see tons of interviews with him having to explain why his comedy is clean, and really it should be the other way around. “Dirty” comics should be explaining to everyone why they aren’t creative enough to create funny material without being foul. Anyhow, you guys rock and catch you in Shreveport this weekend Nate!
15:30 Nate really hit it on the head that people need to seek out fun nowadays. I think that’s why Top Gun: Maverick did so well last year; it was just a fun movie with no hit you on the head lesson.
Aaron, no worries, your front side will always look good with that hat on. Thanks for rocking the merch! We showed screenshots to all of our buddies of you wearing it and for what it’s worth you now have a substantial amount of Lebanon blue collar street cred. Which is worth its weight in gol…nft’s. Welcome back Nate! As much as I love the BAD three, I always feel a little cheated when I anxiously tune in on Wednesday and he’s missing! (kind of like inviting a friend to church and finding out your minister has a sub that Sunday!😂) But , just like church, the “message” still comes through loud and clear.❤️
Hey guys, my twin sister and I are seventh graders who listen to y’all all the time. Nate was nice enough to allow us to go backstage in Roanoke and sign my cast after I broke my arm playing football. After being in a cast for 4 months I finally got it off last month. 2 days ago, I compound fractured my other arm in PE with my sister there and needed 2 titanium rods put in my arm. Hoping I can get you to sign my new cast in May in Norfolk. 😂 what’s the worst injuries you guys have had? Thanks for the laughs. Ethan and Julie Weaver
Best comment ever! And an excellent example of why local comedy clubs need to offer all-age shows so that we can get more family-friendly comedy at an easier price point.
Hello Folks! I know others have probably said this before but thanks for all you do! Having the podcast really meant a lot this week, especially with the BAND back together. It helped me laugh after a really hard breakup and keep from crying. God Bless💛
Nathaniel, you be you. What makes your comedy endearing is the dumbness is offset by very quick wit. Hearing your gutteral laugh while trying to say words like cutlery, monitoring, civilizations and sheer terror is why I listen to old Nateland Podcasts over and over. Don't let anyone tell you you're not dumb.
Speaking of criticism, I've been watching and enjoying your comedy for about 10 years. But listening to your podcast makes me realize you need to expand your vocabulary. E.g., listen to how many times you say "you know" and never complete the thought. And you can drop the "like" word? So overworked. Thanks for listening.
I really don't get the criticism directed at Dusty. He's been a great addition to the podcast. He is a a big part of the reason why I watch, besides Nate obviously. Im not sure I agree with all his conspiracy theories 😁but I always have a good time when he is on. Awesome vibe and carefree attitude! I might just start walking shirtless to Target, I feel inspired 😁
Thank you Nate for what you do. This episode really hit home a point for me and why I tell everyone I love your stuff. Comedy and humor is such an important part of life for me and I absolutely love anything comedy and stand up, but I hate when I finally get to sit down and watch a special for someone and have to turn down the volume or turn it off because they have to talk about "adult" stuff. It feels comic's always have to talk about raunchy stuff to be funny, but every special you do, I feel confident I will for sure laugh and not have to pause or watch it when the kids aren't around. Thank you for what you do!❤
Hello Folks Bryan’s segue into the Harry’s shaving ad while discussing Aaron’s beard was both smooth and well-timed. I long for the day when folks are saying “Have you see the new Bargatze movie!” Question: What Adam Sandler movie would be the best for the Nateland crew to remake, and what role would each of y’all have in it?
I’ve recently started visiting Nateland and it’s been a real treat. Coming in late means I have a catalogue of prior episodes I get to catch up on. It is a little weird though, having been introduced to the show with the 4 of you, to go back to a time minus Dusty. At times I’ll have an episode playing in the background while I’m working. This week, after picking up my daughter from school I had the bizarre compulsion to cycle down to the candy store in town and buy the most candy I’ve ever bought. A pack of twix, after eights, smarties, sour bears, sour worms and strawberry mellows. Cycling home I was more than a little perplexed, not knowing what could possibly have driven me to this uncharacteristic behaviour. At home I reached for my phone to put some music on and that’s when I saw it. Nateland Candy pt 1. Mystery solved.
Tomorrow night, (Feb 23), Nate will perform on the very stage I walked across when I graduated high school in 1984. (Wichita Falls, Tx). Totally bummed that I cannot make that show, but very happy that some of my dearest friends will be in the audience to see the greatness of Nate. Love this podcast!
The first thought that came to mind when you mentioned that it’s hard to find “fun” on TV, etc. , is how everything today seems to push an agenda. So yes it is pleasant just watching you guys. I don’t feel like I have to have my guard up!
I totally get what Nate was talking about when he said he wanted to watch something “mindless”! That’s exactly why I’m here! Love the podcast, you guys are great!!
58:17 I can’t watch Forrest Gump all the way through because I know the scene is coming where he meets his son for the first time and says “Is he smart or is he like me?” Even just typing it out is making me tear up. 😢 So I can totally relate to Nate not wanting to stay through that Robin Williams scene in Good Will Hunting because it’s too emotional.
I agree about watching Sinbad as a kid. The line "the menu on the left side is the same as the menu on the right" is as funny as they come while being so obvious and relatable to any kid or adult.
Say what you want about Bates Motel, but he's like Nate's proud big brother. He truly believes in his friend and champions for him every step of the way.
I love how Nate summed up his AT&T Pro AM experience with: "That was a dream come true, and out of all the things I've wanted to do, that was...one of them." I feel like there's a merch opportunity with that quote! Keep up the great work, fellas!
From Agustin Solano. I await the Daniel Soder episode and the college football episodes. Can't wait to hear Nates views on the transfer portal, NIL, and the covid rule. I mean, you guys represent the D1 different levels from power 5 to a group of 5 to independent schools
Welcome back Nate all of us who know why we watch or listen to this podcast is you guys make our day . I am not good at this stuff but I just hope Nate all of what you would like to see happen come true . My wife and I saw you Brian and Erin in Columbus Ohio and we saw Dusty in Dayton . We both had a lots of laughs and a GOOD TIME so I know that all of you guys will continue to do great . I have been a big pod cast fan since day one and you guys helped us get thru some bad days and still do .So I feel that if you are a fan of Nateland and you say I don't like a hat or hair let us enjoy one of the good things we have and maybe watch or listen to some else . I know too much but I am old guy sorry
1:12:17 I hope Brian finds out that as Apollo 8 came up above the dark side of the moon and the earth seemed to rise, the astronauts read Genesis 1. It’s very emotional to hear the recording.
Nate said this podcast is just trying to be fun and I really appreciate that. It’s hard to find a podcast that isn’t trying to teach you something or doesn’t have politics on it. I just want a podcast that is lighthearted and funny and that’s exactly what I found in Nateland. Keep it up gentleman!
I loved Nate's story about watching with Harper! I watched the special with my 10 year old son and as usual was dying laughing. About 30 min in he turned to me and said "when is this guy going to start telling jokes?" Of course I spanked him and sent him straight to bed with no dinner. I've got your back Nate. Thanks for all you guys do! -Mark from Texas
My wife and I are raising our first daughter and it’s been fun to hear the references to Hey Bear sensory videos and Ms. Rachel. It’s nice to know there is a couple out there, FAR wiser and FAR, FAR older going through the same stages as us in our 20s!
I live in Kansas and I’m trying to get my husband to agree to go to your Bridgestone show so I can see all of you at the same time. He’s holding strong and I feel like I’m not going to make it. If you all come to Kansas together, I will definitely be there.
What's crazy is Nate, you can be the Sandler of this generation. I fell in love with your comedy from the moment I heard you. Then I found Dusty, and happened upon Theo Von years before. You 3 could make movies as awesome as My Cousin Vinny and Tommy Boy! Erik Myers was an awesome one too.
Hey guys I love the podcast! While listening to the Valentine’s Day episode, I accidentally hit the button to slow the audio down to 75% of the normal speed. Not realizing this, I spent the next fifteen minutes wondering if Dusty and Aaron were drunk and thinking “Nate is not going to be pleased about this.” Keep it up!
My partner and I had to buy tickets through a 3rd party site so we could sit together for the show on 4.15! We are driving in from NY just for it and staying a few days to explore Nashville after! Any recommendations on places we should hit up for food and fun? We are so beyond excited to see all the boys in one night! Can't wait!
So fun hearing about everyone that appeared in the beginning of "Hello World!" Our family enjoyed trying to guess and I had most of them right except I thought the guy in colored glasses was TobyMac. They told me I was crazy. I told them that TobyMac wouldn't approve of them calling me names like that.
I had to switch from spotify to youtube to see what these guys all look like and try to recognize who is talking when. But it’s hard cuz they all have the same accent. 😂 i may have it now
1:57:20 So excited to tell Nate that I bought tickets for your 9:30 show on June 16 in St Paul MN. It will be my first time seeing Nate. I can hardly wait. Love the Nateland Podcast and your special “Hello World” ❤❤
Hey Brian how was ur week? The weather has been pretty crazy here almost like spring. I'm glad to see the gang back together take care hear ya next week
Love you guys! You're all hilarious and your conversations make me so happy. Started watching The Office again for probably the 15th time and was thinking of either Brian's or Aaron's comment in one episode that Nate IS Michael Scott. I would like to confirm that Nate IS Michael Scott. It's amazing how Mike's character even speaks with a cadence like Nate. Their absurd humor also makes them so similiar. In my continued observations: Brian is Erin and sometimes Pam. Aaron is Oscar, who is a very underrated character. Dusty is a Jim and Dwight lovechild. We're having a good time.
Sorry, but it's true. I watched the one where Dusty swooped in and stole the spotlight, but I missed you. And by that I mean I missed you sitting in your regular chairs
Adam Sandler recently made the excellent sports movie, Hustle, starring NBA All-star Anthony Edwards as Kermit Wilts. If Nate were to make a sports movie as part of his Nateland movieverse, what sport would it be? What pro athlete would Nate try to recruit to star in it? Would the Badland fellows get parts? I'll go proofread this now.
Nate referred to having too many choices being frustrating. This is known as the Paradox of Choice. Businesses think that customers want more options, but it actually causes anxiety. I’m in the restaurant business and two examples of this in my industry are Cookout’s menu vs Five Guys’ menu. One is simple and enjoyable. The other causes panic attacks.
That's my dad!!! The guy laughing you talk about in Phoenix 😂 His laugh is unforgettable. He's had a hard year this year, and your show really made his whole week. Thank you for being you!

At home I reached for my phone to put some music on and that’s when I saw it. Nateland Candy pt 1. Mystery solved.
7:00 Nate: "You're just a clown..."
Nate's dad: "I beg your pardon?!"
Dusty is the best thing to happen this show. Bane is on the show as well
I second and third that opinion. He was such a great addition. He is HILARIOUS!
I look forward to this podcast every week. And love Nate’s vision for the future…if you build it, we will come ❤
Hey bear 👋🏿 we’re having a good time
58:17 I can’t watch Forrest Gump all the way through because I know the scene is coming where he meets his son for the first time and says “Is he smart or is he like me?” Even just typing it out is making me tear up. 😢 So I can totally relate to Nate not wanting to stay through that Robin Williams scene in Good Will Hunting because it’s too emotional.
Bringing back watching things on TV in the livingroom...some of my childhood best memories are listening to my dads laughs watching cartoons
Nate, just renewed my Prime with some birthday money just to watch your new special! Best birthday gift! Love the podcast guys!
I love how Nate summed up his AT&T Pro AM experience with:
"That was a dream come true, and out of all the things I've wanted to do, that was...one of them."
I feel like there's a merch opportunity with that quote!
31:21 Oh, congrats that's great news
31:40 Nice, that's good to hear.
About 30 min in he turned to me and said "when is this guy going to start telling jokes?"
Of course I spanked him and sent him straight to bed with no dinner. I've got your back Nate. Thanks for all you guys do!

I missed Breakfasts's "You blew it, buddy!" to Nate till my 2nd listen. Aw, Mrs. Weber reference... 😄
I started listening to you guy 3 months ago and just caught up. I love how you guys are aging like fine wine!!! Keep up the funny!!
Woohoo! Made the comment roundup - my week is complete! Nate even pronounced my last name correctly...just wow!
You exceeded expectations with Hello World! Keep it up!
Dusty is super funny. My wife and I can’t wait to see him at the funny bone in Des Moines in May!
I had to switch from spotify to youtube to see what these guys all look like and try to recognize who is talking when. But it’s hard cuz they all have the same accent. 😂 i may have it now
I'm a new fan... you guys are awesome! I enjoy listening to you guys...
And I would love to see a "Nate Bargatze" clean type of movie...
Hey Nate, Dusty was great! May want to think about changing Nateland to Dustyland ❤️
Hello Folks and Hey Bear
1:57:20 So excited to tell Nate that I bought tickets for your 9:30 show on June 16 in St Paul MN. It will be my first time seeing Nate. I can hardly wait. Love the Nateland Podcast and your special “Hello World” ❤❤
I love your hair Dusty!
It's hard to be the straight man in a group of comedians. Bryant does a great job.
This podcast keeps aging like fine wine. Don't listen to the haters!
This whole time I thought you were saying tidily locked like it's all locked in nice and neat.
I'm learning from this podcast!
We love you Dusty and your hats!
We're right there with you Bates - 1:44:22
Love the moon talk! Enjoy seeing where Nate's brain goes. The Artemis mission filmed as it crossed behind the moon. It's posted on NASA TV.
I’m surprised billy goat as the other Vanderbilt fan didn’t bring up Nate not doing the Anchor down hand sign after hello world
Man that beard in flash back is something Nate.
Dusty is my favorite of the podcast. I don't understand the hate unless its a jokey love hate like the alternate names for Breakfast.
