Helpful insight, i also use flipping a no contact/ghosting...when the npd in my life becomes more neglectful than usual and does a partial ghost (ignores texts etc). I flip the ghost by starting a conversation that they have to engage with then leaving them on read, abandoment kicks in around end of week 1 and they try harder again for a little while

It has been an uphill battle to try and swing it to a net positive, but I think we’re getting there. The most positive effect is it finally snapped my son out of the parental alienation / aligned-child psychology, because he finally saw her true colors and realized she’ll prioritize her happiness over his. It already sucks that he’s in a split home, but at least the wool’s off his eyes now and he’s awake.
