- Hi Beauties! This is just a quick little tutorial of how I do my grey coverage clients, I do grey root touch ups literally every day that I work but don't typically film it cause to me it's pretty basic, but even the basics need a tutorial right?!
Let me know if you'd like more basic hair tutorials like this in the comments :)

Her smile is incredible!! Beautiful client!
I love how smiley and sweet your client is!
I ❤️ how thorough you are! You take such pride in your work. I'd definitely be happy to pay more to have you as my stylist!!! I'm sure we don't live in the same city tho, Kansas city Missouri.
Love touch up gray on highlights! Thanks!
👏👏👏👏 One of the best educators in the game 💪💯

You so great will love to see more videos on this thxs
You are the best!
Perfect s usual 🥰👏🏻
Gorgeous!
Excellent tutorial. Please can you do one about covering roots with about 30% of grey on highlighted very light brown hair. Thank you
Yes love your videos.. i would too see a video on level 8 fine 100 per white hair…
Nice 🙂
Why didn’t you add a golden tone to the mix, like 6/3?
awesome
Do you go a shade darker or lighter than the natural hair color, asking just because I forgot 🤦♀️
Thank you so much this really helped me witht dying my mom's hair
Yes yes yes💕❤️😘😍🥰
How long too process
Do you by chance use Scruples or know about them?
Great coverage. Just want to point out because your client does not have especially thick hair, each partition need not be that thin. Thicker partitions wouldve still given the same result and less time and product wouldve been needed
How many grams do you use for root application , colour only
Have you tried Coverfusion? If so do you like it better than this one? I have a hard time loving Coverfusion, doesnt cover well on my client's with very resistant hair. I'm wondering if it's maybe just me. Thanks for the video lovely! All your videos are amazing 👏🏽
I used coverfusion for a while then switched to chromatics, it’s an oil based color so it helps moisturize dry grey hair while giving coverage! if they are super resistant you can leave it on an extra 10-15 minutes for better coverage
@@WholyHair Will do💖. Thank you so much for replying lovely, I truly appreciate it 💕
This might help. Pre soften with 20 vol. peroxide before applying mixed color. Softens the gray to absorb the color formula.
@@nancywhipple480 oh wow! Never tried that but I will❤ thank you love!
@@0666denisec Also I really like Joico Lumishine NNG and NG series permanent color line . NN lines is great for stubborn Gray coverage. G is great for pigment
❤
🤩
Let’s say she wanted to go all over her silver grey color; what colors of shades eq would you use to tone it to look silver and naturally grey?
it would depend on where she was starting from, it would be challenging with this client since we’ve been doing permanent color for so long to cover the grey! I would do a grey blend with highlights but would take a few appointments to get there
Is this a 1:1 ratio of colour to developer?
yes
What color/toner do you use for your own silver platinum hair? 🙂
redken shades eq 8vb for my shadow root, and 9p/9v/9t for my ends
I am black about to go touch on my white mom's roots wish me the best luck
Hi I'm a new subbie! Do you used Redkens shades EQ for grey coverage as well?
no, shades does not cover grey
@@WholyHairthat’s not exactly what I just read on the shades site. I was reading about using the NB series to blend the gray. This helps avoid any lines of demarcation. Right?
@@EmmaDee it camouflages the grey and gradually fades out, but does not give full coverage. I do use it on certain clients who don’t want full coverage but it’s important they know they’ll still see some grey!
You’re sectioning is wrong! Do the “hot cross bun” sectioning
