    Thank you for the 20 developer saturation trick, I was coloring my hair jet black, and it totally got rid of the gray flyaways❤

    Is pre softening damaging to the gray hairs or the scalp?? How long do you leave it on before apply color and do you rinse it off of before coloring or just color over the developer?

    Awesome video 👍If I'm a target level 6 (usually do 10v but it gets kinda hot) do you still recommend 20v with a 6N? Or one level down with 20V, ie 5N with 20V for target 6N?

    Love the tip on over directing the front quadrants to the back! I don’t know why I haven’t ever thought of that! Also you are right, I never realized how light everyone in utah is until we moved to Cali and my little sis was literally the only little blondie in her class! Where here almost all of her friends are naturally on the lighter end! Didn’t realize that was a thing 😂 love you and your tips as always 😘

      Joico NNG are also great. My senior clients are so white no pigment they need some gold. I sometimes drop the volume to15% so it deposits more color and go up a shade. Joico is a great product!

    Hey Stew- I know-old video, but love what you did, especially Dye Defender, Yay,- just bought some!. Question- I have bleached blonde hair with some greys at the roots. Should I do a root smudge so it has some dimension? If so, what color? I don't want it to look too stripey. Also, I still have brown (naturally medium neutral brown at the roots. How do I keep it from looking inky/dull at the roots? You're fabulous!

    How long do you leave the developer in to pre soften? Also do you wash out the developer then dry the hair before the actually color process?

    • @micron1983
      @micron1983 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I don't think that you wash the hair after applying the developer, you just go on top of that. Also, I think that 5-10 minutes is enough before applying color cause as much as is left is gonna damage the hair more. Of course it will be better if Stew can answer those questions with his experience on this matter!

    I personally don't find any challenge dying my grey with a darker hair die, other than the greys grow seen more noticeable within couple weeks, to me the challenge is with the blonde, I personally feel like I look much older with darker hair, I used to go blue black in my 20s, now there's not way, my question how dark can I go without looking older, I don't seem to find the happy medium..

    Do you worry that your barrier cream will transfer to the hairline even just a tiny bit which would prevent full coverage?

    • @StewStylez

      Make sure you're applying it to the skin and not to the actual hairline! If you're working with clean sections you should be fine!
