Love on how you explain on how to apply hair color and giving emphasis that for those client comes to the salon for gray coverage want their hair totally covered.
Is pre softening damaging to the gray hairs or the scalp?? How long do you leave it on before apply color and do you rinse it off of before coloring or just color over the developer?
Awesome video 👍If I'm a target level 6 (usually do 10v but it gets kinda hot) do you still recommend 20v with a 6N? Or one level down with 20V, ie 5N with 20V for target 6N?
Love the tip on over directing the front quadrants to the back! I don’t know why I haven’t ever thought of that! Also you are right, I never realized how light everyone in utah is until we moved to Cali and my little sis was literally the only little blondie in her class! Where here almost all of her friends are naturally on the lighter end! Didn’t realize that was a thing 😂 love you and your tips as always 😘
I saw the 6abn swatch and it scared me to death lol! I'd love to try it on MY head first, do you go 50/50 with the NN series? And how much warmth does it counteract?
Stew, hello I just saw your video and it was amazing!!!!!! I'm a new bi to this profession can you please suggest what books I can start off with I'm so excited but I'm not sure where to start.I want to start off with reading and understanding what I'm doing and what I'm combining .Thank you for your time and your videos they are so encouraging and I've subscribed to your channel again your videos are so awesome!!!!!!! Also can you do a video on long layers for hair.???? Love ,love, love your videos!!!!!!!!😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😇
Joico NNG are also great. My senior clients are so white no pigment they need some gold. I sometimes drop the volume to15% so it deposits more color and go up a shade. Joico is a great product!
Hey Stew- I know-old video, but love what you did, especially Dye Defender, Yay,- just bought some!. Question- I have bleached blonde hair with some greys at the roots. Should I do a root smudge so it has some dimension? If so, what color? I don't want it to look too stripey. Also, I still have brown (naturally medium neutral brown at the roots. How do I keep it from looking inky/dull at the roots? You're fabulous!
I don't think that you wash the hair after applying the developer, you just go on top of that. Also, I think that 5-10 minutes is enough before applying color cause as much as is left is gonna damage the hair more. Of course it will be better if Stew can answer those questions with his experience on this matter!
I personally don't find any challenge dying my grey with a darker hair die, other than the greys grow seen more noticeable within couple weeks, to me the challenge is with the blonde, I personally feel like I look much older with darker hair, I used to go blue black in my 20s, now there's not way, my question how dark can I go without looking older, I don't seem to find the happy medium..
Thank you for the 20 developer saturation trick, I was coloring my hair jet black, and it totally got rid of the gray flyaways❤

Glad you liked it!!
Add 6abn or 4abn or 2abn REDKEN color lacquers to your nn formula it’s the bomb these colors are fairly new
I will defiantly be trying this out!
What ratio do you use with the nn & abn?

@@StewStylez have you tried the abn series? It looks SCARY on a swatch! I'd like to try it with N or NN for grey coverage...50/50? Thoughts?
@@Lishailaumus have you tried it yet?? I'm looking for insight before I do because it looks SCARY dark on the swatch, like black lol

Awesome tips!!
What if you are also highlighting? Do you just go over it with lightener and let it all process together?
I love that joico line!! You should try the liquid lumi shine I looooove them
I have tried them before!! They are amazing!

@@StewStylezwhy didnt you use a fashion colour with the natural 6nn? Why did you use 2 natural colours. Won’t it be flat?
Stew, what did you look for when choosing a beauty school?

What would you apply to the rest of the hair shaft that needs a refresh of color?
What if you don't want complete coverage, and just to blend?
How long do you leave the developer in to pre soften? Also do you wash out the developer then dry the hair before the actually color process?

Why did you use 2 colours with /NN , won’t it be flat. I was taught to add a a fashion colour for a nice reflect
Can you put the color mix right over the developer after softening the base??
Yes ma'am!
When using the nn series from reken series do u mix the Jerico with it or do u put nn first and then the jerico series after
Love this! ❤️can’t wait for more tips from the pro! ✨ xoxo 💋
I love you girl
@@StewStylezoh you do respond!!
Do you worry that your barrier cream will transfer to the hairline even just a tiny bit which would prevent full coverage?
Make sure you're applying it to the skin and not to the actual hairline! If you're working with clean sections you should be fine!

You’re the best 💓
damn son, you are hired
I don’t see his instagram
What is wrong with folks!! I love going warm vs dirty brown rice lookin!!
