1990 Currie Cup Final - Northern Transvaal vs Natal

Natal came into the 1990 Currie Cup as major underdogs. In their 100 year history, they have never won the Currie Cup and no-one expected them to do so against the mighty Northern Transvaal, who have won the Currie Cup in 1987, 1988 and 1989. But in rugby, anything can happen and with Wahl Batmann and Joel Stransky in the side, Natal went on to claim a famous win at Loftus Versfeld. They would go on to become the team of the 90's and win the Currie Cup again in 1992, 1995 and 1996. Thanks for watching!

Ahh back in the day when they kicked with sand and when you could run on the field. I have fond memories as a lightie lining up on the dead ball line at the snake pit at kingspark and shaking the players hands! Fk i miss those dirban days....
