I just have this Q4 slip-on for my 450X and the noise levels are absolutely perfect! FMF did a great job balancing the acoustics by not being too loud or too quiet. I left the baffle and everything alone. Highly recommend this product to anyone looking to reduce weight and still have a quiet bike (make sure to change the fueling as well!).
The smoother throttle comes from the powerbomb. How does your gas mileage look like in this setup? Is the clutch basket the same or heavier on the rekluse?
Wishing I got the FMF instead of my RS-4, the Yoshi is too loud and doesn't have any quieter options with a spark arrestor which is required here in the desert.
Great video, are you happy with the heavier flywheel? I've been thinking about installing one on my 450L that also has a Vortex and Rekluse, with a Yoshimura rs-4 exhaust.
I don’t understand why your FMF muffler is the only one I have seen that isn’t wide open n the end. Your has another little smaller diameter extension pipe coming out of the end. What’s up with that - I want one too. Thx man. Great Vid.
@@ufixit Wait what- whoa there big guy. I’m talking about the pipe that’s on your bike not the one on you. Anyway- I’m pretty sure it’s just one of the less used inserts available out there. In my opinion the best one. Nice set-up man. You don’t play around. Hope all is well- have a great one and always looking forward to some more vids whenever it’s convenient for ya. Thx.

I love mine. Not too loud but WAY better than stock.
Great video, and stay safe on the trails.
thanks for the video
Thanks for the video.
Yes sir. I appreciate the feedback.

Does anyone happen to know the part numbers are for the muffler and header? Or do I just order the setup for a 2020 Honda CRF 450X?

Yes, very happy with it. I think it smoothed out the throttle response and gave me a little more low end grunt.
Part # or link for the header you got I had to modify my fmf q4 to fit shock header on the 2022 450RL
Didn't you have to change the OEM exhaust header gasket as well......?
I thought FMF now made a proprietary heat shield for the chamber. I’ve seen them out there.
You are probably right. I like reusing things and saving money where I can. It still gets really HOT though.
@@ufixit Thx man.
Thanks for the video. Are you still running all 5’s on the Vortex mixture settings? How did that work when you took the bike to Colorado?
Still the same. I haven’t been able to make it back to Colorado since installing the FMF. The fuel injection handles the altitude wall though.
Have you had any issues with the turn signals melting from the exhaust?
I do gotta ask cause I bought the same slip on can that silencer be pulled out cause I don’t wanna break it trying to pull it out
What rack are you running! Exhaust looks good 👍👍
Its a Scaggs rear rack. I like it a lot. Thank you for the comments.
May I ask what settings you use on the Vortex ECU?
I have it set to the vortex recommended setting for the FMF exhaust and trail mode.

Hmm. I don't know. I guess mine is just longer than usual.....
Thanks for the comment. Ride safe.

It is a spark arrestor that can be easily removed.
Can 5'7 height handle that bike?
Yes but I think you may have to lower it. I’m 6ft and am on my toes when I straddle it.
You think it’s gave you 10 hp ?
I don’t think so. It is definitely more responsive. Its a 450 it has plenty enough power for my 50 year old bones.
