a 286 at 25Mhz should be more capable than this... look what the Dread-Grind gang are doing with the Amiga500 on a 68000 7Mhz, a CPU that came out 8 years before the 80286 25Mhz. Anyone would think u are trying to get the lowest frame rate with the crappest gfx possible. Why not use the original IBM 5150 PC 8088 5Mhz from 1981AD?
I've optimized multiplications and divisions, and now it's faster. The CGA graphics aren't optimized though. It's just the VGA data written to CGA memory. That's why I call this a quick hack.

@@DookNookimcan you utilize FPUs like 8087,287 and 387 for smooter performers on 8088/8086, 286 and 386?
@@intel386DX I don't know, but ViTi95 tried using an FPU in FastDoom and it didn't improve performance on a 386.
