Maybe try making the sprites and gun a higher resolution while keeping the environment the same. the reason because its very hard to tell whats going on. this project is epic though
Just imagine if we could add an external RS232 or LPT1 or even ISA cards with Artificial Inteligence in order to aid with quality like anti alising and image processing estimation... It would revamp 8086, 80286, zx, etc
Really good performance for a 12MHz 286! Screen tearing can be avoided using two or three screen pages, this works fine on CGA cards
It is using three screen pages. It's just hard to get a good picture with my phone.
This looks like the 80s movies when they would try to show off military technology with pixelated animations.
The way Doom was meant to be played.
How do I say that I hate this version of Doom, while still being stone cold impressed by what it took to make it work?
I am blind after watching this.

Actually, the walls already are half as detailed as the sprites.
@@DookNookim oh
That's a graphical output?!?
I assumed it was a text only display and this was basically ASCII art doom 😂
That's amazing and horrifying.
@@MostlyPennyCat The screen can display EGA graphics, but this video shows only text mode. So it is basically ASCII art Doom.

OK, not losing my mind then 😂
😙🤌
Awsome!

Great!
would it be possible to make the map textures 1x1 pixels blank images? so the sprites would be more recognizable (and may reduce load times)
Maybe, but doors and switches still need to be recognizable.
damn, we hit the bottom of the barrel
this is what we call barebones doom
👍😎🙃🤣👍👍👍

Uh… perhaps you should’ve just went with the wireframe approach. Just saying.
Maybe, but doors and switches still need to be recognizable
This needs anti-aliasing.
Just use FXAA, or in other words, blur everything!
@@CaveyMoth MXAA x1.000.000
Just need a old tube TV if you want everything blurred
