It would be awesome if Mo through out the first pitch of the Yankee World Series to Joe Girardi

And that Ladies and Gentlemen is how the last player to wear #42 - Jackie Robinson's number -- should have played.
It's weird how things like that work out on rare occasions. Mariano Rivera was the perfect person to retire the number 42 from baseball history. In my opinion, baseball retired the number for both MO and Jackie Robinson.

Jackie's widow said something along the lines of "He would've hated that you were a Yankee, but he would have loved you as a person"

yanks have many many haters but had plenty of 'good' guys...mo, jeter although I can see how some people can dislike him...but how can you dislike o'neill, posada, bernie, girardi, almost the entire 98 team, correction, the 96 to 2000 team

i love his mindset. very, very disciplined. won't allow his mind to wander: we'll face the future, when we do. you can tell, even in the company of a friend (Girardi), he gets very bothered, when he knows the other person is about to try and send his mind into an oblivious state. his expression goes pure psychotic...and then he releases it, with a belief/faith in God...

We never would’ve known how clutch he was if he played his entire career for the Royals or Orioles. It’s a shame Trout and Ohtani will never know true greatness

the save is the lowest of the low when it comes to stat. one fucking inning!? c'monnnnnnnnnnn....not impressed and never will be. if he was going two or 3 innings fine. 1 inning is a joke!!!

That's why ERA and WHIP are better numbers to go by.
Also he had been throwing 2 inning saves in the postseason.

He has a 0.70 postseason era. In like 140 appearances. He’s the goat
