Grew up watching Tony, was at the 1998 world series and been to so many of the baseball camps he had around the city, that video of him getting the call always makes me tear up. Talk about someone earning and deserving that moment, Tony exemplified that. RIP to a legend. Trevor Hoffman as well, there was nothing like hearing those bells before the 9th inning
There are two calls baseball players look forward to getting: that first call that they’re being drafted, and the call that they’re being voted into the hall of fame.
@@Nicky-O I guess my username wouldn’t have anything to do with my opinion…….it was sarcasm, mostly. I went and watched jeter play in his final year just because I respected his game. At the same time I’d argue he wasn’t even the best shortstop on his own team the last ten years he played.
Legends never die Tony. Rest easy champ.. with the exception of maybe Ted Williams, he was arguably the best pure hitter in baseball history. If you needed someone to get a base hit to save your life, he would have been the guy
@vincentfiore7588 I just saw Video clips of C. David Baker President of the NFL HOF Welcoming incoming Members with a Knock on their door In Person. it is So Much More Meaningful the way the NFL Welcomes their HOF Members. MLB as well as the other Leagues should Take Notes. in Person is just so Much Classier.
Baseball has rules. They violated those rules. As someone once said life has consequences... Pete Rose will never will never be in the hall So you might as well get used to that right now
@rolandmiller5456 Bullahiz! Many of those who ARE in their little "hall" played whole high on coke & uppers. When you're that kinds high, a baseball looks like a frickin' softball....a definate advantage. Bonds was a 10-times MVP even before his head 'BLOWED-UP! Screw those stick-the-azz voters.....and you TOO!
Who did they call for Pete Rose?? Man was told he would never be in the hall of fame, then he dies and yall wanna act like yall didn’t spend the last 20-30 years torturing that man… for shame
Tony was always genuine R.I.P.
I Watched Tony Gwynn IN San Diego he is loved and Missed
You should do a video of just funny tarp moments like wind throwing tarps everywhere and people getting stuck under tarps
Lol!
Mr Gwynn, R.I.P. you are truly a legend sir.

Gone too soon Tony R.I.P

first being drafted and call when you are going to the show.
Mariano Rivera so far is the only unanimous vote in the Baseball Hall of Fame. Not even Jeter was unanimous.
That’s because jeter wasn’t good.
@@bosox1640jeter definitely deserves the hall
Jeter missed unanimous by one vote
@@bosox1640you don’t know baseball then

Pat Hughes more than deserved his induction, he is the modern generations Harry Carrey.
CONGRATS Tony and RIP as you are MISSED!
Man...great compilation! I loved when Scott Rolen hugged his parents. You almost never get that far on your own.
I love that too because us lucky people never get anywhere in life without parents
I remember Chippers 1st game.❤❤❤❤❤
Think this is the first time I’ve seen these calls all put together into a compilation.

Congratulations pat Hughes a Chicago Cubs legend
Esos logros se celebran con los seres queridos, que bonito
Jim Thome is a class act
The greatest pure hitter of All-Time
❤️Papi❤
What's going to be interesting is next year. Carlos Beltran becomes eligible To be elected in the hall of fame.
What would have happened if that last dude had the hitter hit an HR while he was thanking people?
6:45 I didn't know George Costanza was in. Must be as a Yankee exec....
Tony was great.
Pete Rose was the greatest. It’s a shame he not in the Hall of Fame for baseball.
Time for Bernie,Barry and pete to get their call
2 of 3 guys aren't gonna get in the hall. Bernie Williams Ought to be in.
Pete Rose.?
Was David Ortiz’s steroid dealer there to celebrate too?
Obviously! He couldn’t have done it without him! 😂😂😂
The "Hall" is diminished as long as those players, you all know who they are, aren't in their little hall.....
