My wife's Chihuahua would ask me for weed we didn't have edibles I'd shotgun her and watch her relax (No where near as much weed as dogs in these videos).
We smelled it last night. Our neighbors teenage boys smoke often, no judgment. First time they decided to throw the end of their “blunt?” on the ground. When we opened the gate to let our 2 puppies play with their 2, one of ours ate it. 💔💔💔
what do you do for a dog? The vets cant do anything except charge the owner for an IV. You vets know this an d charge people for nothing. you all should be ashamed for taking money from a scared owner.. Vets are known for ripping people off

my mother in law's chihuahua has eaten my brother in law's stash at least 3 times that we know of, and I'm convinced the dog is doing it on purpose. the dog stumbles around the house, his eyes are glassy and bright red, and he always looks super proud of himself, we see that stupid smirk on his snoot and everybody knows the dog is high af again.

Yes.....so scary this happened to my puppy today on our walk. Thankfully the emergency vet was a block away from where I was when I noticed the symptoms. She's still a little sleepy...😔

A roach? My dog ate the whole cheese cloth soaked full of decarbed weed and soaked in weed butter dug it out the trash and was in bad shape I’m on here looking for advice I finally got him to sleep and watching him closely he was running and falling at the same time hyper active drowsy skiddish peeing uncontrollably I began to hold him down and stay close while petting and holding him until he passed out scooted him more on my bed and now he’s out like a light I’m tracking his breathing to make sure it’s not too slow.
Note I’ll be shampooing my bed tomorrow next time I’ll be throwing the cheesecloth deep in the trash

Poor puppy… she is loaded! I like this vet! He kept it 💯!
Just recently, my dog, Bonni ate fairly strong edibles (she found them and It was my mistake for not keeping them out if reach) female cocker spaniel, and she was high as a space shuttle, and very very lethargic/unresponsive, and when she was resting up she would try to sleep, and she would startle herself awake, and try to get up and run but she would start falling and flipping *as* she was trying to stand up. She was scared and I had to make sure that she felt "grounded" by loving on her and just massaging her and endless pets. It helped her stay a lot more calm, I had to wait until morning (it was 3 AM at that current time) to take her to the emergency vet so I had to keep an eye on her and I stayed awake with her the whole time and just never left her side. Trust me when I say that the dogs appreciate the pets and loves if they are ever high, but please, please make sure they get seen as QUICKLY as possible. I hope my sweet bonni never has to go through that again, and here's a lesson learned for me.

My dog licked remnants of oil that spilled on the ground. I just thought nothing of it because some other stuff had spilled and I thought it was just something sweet. She had already licked little more than a tablespoon worth of oil and I didn't notice.
I saw her go to my bedroom and I just went and just focused on filtering the oil. I found her sleeping on my other dog's bed later, which is unusual because she typically sleeps on my bed. I went to pick her up and she freaked out a bit and started shaking her limbs almost as if seizing while I was carrying her to the bed. I also freaked out because I thought she was having some kind of attack, and then the lightbulb lit and I laughed my ass off but tended to her. I just pet her softly and she went to sleep almost immediately, but started shaking a bit every once in a while when she was awaken by some noise but slept a lot. The next Next day she was just fine, just a little "wobbly" but was otherwise relaxed and just kept lying around sleeping.

Just happened to my dog mini ausi again....1st time scared me and her cuz I've never seen her look so wobbly and was peeing uncontrollably everywhere, even on us .... I took her to an emergency vet and was told she was super high and thus extra sensitive to anything.... Turns out she ate resin from my ashtray..... She was fine but still sucked. This time she took my concentrate pen and got about 1/4 gram before I caught her... She's the same as before but being way more active even tho her balance is a bit off. I'm just watching her close this time...

I most be the worst pet owner in history, my dog have eaten weed in two separate occasions, the first time she ate some old weed I left in my closet and she didn't didn't have any symptoms just slept all day and yesterday she ate an entire cannabis cookie but I didn't realize it until night when I called her to get to the house ( she was in the garden) I don't know at what time she ate it but when I called her she had a lot of trouble moving and it looked at times that some of her muscles were moving like spasms then she vomited and I took her to the vet ( I didn't tell the vet what she ate because of fear and I was tripping as well I just tell him that she may got intoxicated because something she must have eaten and hoped for the best) she spend the night there, the vet put her on Serum and today she is fine, is a 10 moths old husky
That was an expensive lesson

Dogs have much higher concentrations of the CB1 receptor in their cerebellum than hums do. The incoordination that you see in stoned dogs is due to this.
Had put small amount of butter on pizza I made 1tbls at most. Two DOGS acted like they were poisoned being out side that night. Panic fur babies down. Who Poisoned them? Think, they are still sleeping and acting strange. I was doing dishes and gave the dogs left overs. Only the two that are acting sick ate pizza because they were being greedy. Whinney is a Chihuahua, mix terrier and Wiener. When I saw Chi CHI feeling it I was relieved to having my suspicion on the infused pizza theory. Not 100% at ease but doing much better. Men Not a single human has died from weed and neither dogs, the dangerous in them consuming weed its more in the way the get high
For example the brownies have chocolate and chocolate its poisonuss for dogs, etc. And also dogs are smaller so if they eat a normal human dose they will be verryyyyy high and its dangerous bc they can have a bad trip and seizures

My dog is 18 years old the last 2 years he had been pacing at night for hours totally confused. I put him on a low dose thc infused honey prooduct and a cbd supplement. edibles are not as bad as flower, while the edibles have more concentrated thc, flower has a far more potent terpene profile humulene, alpha and beta pinen, lemonene and linolool to name a few, many of which can be toxic to pets.

Sorry for the delayed response. How's your puppy doing? How the patients will respond to the marijuana ingestion is a case by case basis. Most of the time they will be fine with support as needed determined by the evaluation of the veterinarian

FYI a vet hospital cant help much.. The dog will sober up after 12 hours. The dog will have no permanent damage
That is correct. Usually most we can do is provide them with fluid and monitor them, other than that, they just have to ride it out.

Help! I have a 3 yo female Siberian husky and she has been acting strange for the past day or so. She isn't crazy excited about food anymore, which is highly unusual, and she's been spending a lot of time just laying down. She looks almost drunk when she tries to stand up and walk, and she's constantly stumbling. We think she might be high because we have these products at home, but we are not sure because they are kept in a place where she cannot reach them. We are really worried about her, do you think she is just high or it could be poisoning from another substance?
It could be marijuana ingestion but if you can I would recommend taking her to the vet for an evaluation. If it is marijuana there have been reports of cbd oil stop the effects of marijuana ingestion. We don't know the cause or the side effects either.

@@xTrident999 Hello! My husky was back to her normal behavior before we were supposed to take her to the vet so thankfully she was just high, not poisoned! We ultimately did find a broken cartridge in the backyard that held cannabis oil, so we think she licked the oil out. For maybe 3 days she just laid in the same spot, wouldn't eat much, and couldn't walk around, but afterward she slowly started eating again so we took her for a short walk when it started to wear off and she seemed much happier :)

It is caused from the distortion of color due to retinal receptors. You had the same thing happen to you probably especially when you where in the adjustment period.

My sister's dog loved to get high. It all started when the vet gave her some kind of opiate after she had broke her leg. A few years latter when I was 13 or 14; I did what most immature teenagers would do and blew weed smoke in her face. At first it kinda freaked her out but once the weed kicked in she loved it. She would come back for more everytime my friends and I were smoking in my bedroom. Usally she wouldn't mess with me but when she smelled the smoke she would scratch at my door so I would let her in. When I did she would jump up on my bed stick her neck out waiting for us to give her a hit by blowing the smoke in her face. I wouldn't do this alot and I didn't do it to be funny but Fluffy loved it. She even got me busted one time when she was trying to get in my room. My mother found it odd that she was scratching at my door and wanted in. So my mom opened the door and caught my girlfriend and I getting high. She also saw Fluffy jumping up at the joint and begging for a hit. I miss that little dog she was cool. My dog Maxx was lame he didn't like getting high.
My sisters dog Copper loves to get stoned with me, my sister would vape back in the day and when she turned it on he would hear the clicks to turn it on and he would scratch at your feet and beg for smoke in his face. When she told me that I turned on my wax pen battery to see if I would get a reaction and the little dude turned his head to me and started begging so quickly 😭 moral of the story is I take him on my hikes and to the beach to get baked
Wow, Joe and Robert, you guys are so right. Back in my day, I did the same thing to my dog. My mother and my girlfriend thought I was evil and abusive. But when they saw how much the little guy liked getting high I became a pusher to my mom. My girlfriend changed her mind and decided I was cool and funny. Anyway, the family dog died a few years later. We lived on a farm and would bury our pets. So when Ralphie passed on we buried him with a bong.

There have been some thoughts that potentially giving dogs CBD oil after marijuana ingestion would potentially help but there are no studies or data to show a treatment. The best treatment is prevention which means keep the weed away from your dogs
