I honestly did not realize that other people experienced this type of anxiety. I didn’t even know that there was a word for it. I’m so thankful to know that I’m not alone in this experience.

You're definitely not alone... I've struggled with this for 3 months now.. constantly checking my pulse.. avoiding social outings, anything that can raise my pulse. Checking blood pressure too n worrying about a stroke or heart attack. It's terrible n leads to panic attacks and random pains in my chest n body. BUT..... You're not alone and it's not going to kill you. Your heart is fine and so is mine. It'll take time though to overcome it but it'll happen. Hang in there n I'm here if you ever need am ear or someone to chat w who's goin through it

Take it from someone who stopped living because of anxiety. Please don’t stop living just because you’re afraid to die it’s just gonna leave you full of regret and that does not help your anxiety and it never will. It took me 45 years to realize that. just know that you’re OK and even if you’re not It’ll still be OK

can u explain your attacks? mine start with standard odd feeling.. unwell.. kinda breathless..etc..etc.. could come in waves on and off, then once i allow it to get to me turns to panic.. but the waves are unwell,,kinda shortness of breath- BUT PULSE says normal. around 80s.. however once the pulse (HEART RATE) gets to the low 100s ( SAY I AM DRIVING) I know i am getting close to a panic attack.. then BAM 120s-140s and nothing will stop it-- Call 911 and tell them i am gonna pull over and after 10mins goes by(feels like 1hr) heart rate drops to 110 for a while and i am sensitive to all..

      @@donblade5405i Hi jack the thread.
I have been afraid of my heart for many years.
      15-20 maybe.
Got myocarditis when I was a teenager.
Ever since then I became more sensitive to pulse increases ect.
In the first years, my worry and anxiety were a combination of panic attacks when I "felt that something terrible is going to happen, just a feeling" or when I got a higher heart rate I was afraid I was going to die.
It has limited me even today that I avoid activities that cause my heart rate to rise more than 130-140.
I have GAD and Panic Syndrome and Caridophobia.
In 2024 my problems are a bit the same, I also have a bout of agoraphobia, difficult in places where there are a lot of people especially when I feel my emotions.
have been medicated with SSRIs for 20 years, (stopped this year) which caused me to get AV Block 2 type 1 which is not dangerous but not so fun.
Also, I've had double strokes, about 30 per day, but I feel maybe 3-5.
But every time I get TERRIFIED and think there will be something more.
Or that I'm going to die, and the anxiety and worry can last for hours, if I don't take the Benzo.
Also, I monitor my heart rate regularly with my apple watch to check all the time which is NOT good I know about that but I am doing CBT and DBT right now so hope for success.
It's a little about my attacks and problems anyway, I don't trust my heart, especially not after I took 2 vaccine shots xD even though I know the chance is small, I have anxiety about it too.
I am very easily influenced when it comes to health etc.
Hope it goes well for you and that both you and I get help and learn to deal with this.

@MANGA_SENSAI it's wild.u said that. You are right we go through period which can b week or even weeks that we are off and more susceptible to attacks. 1 way I know when I am off is when I take a hot shower I can breath. This week I can handle a hot shower with zero problems. Good point brother.

thank you so much. i’ve been struggling since september, with a peak around october through december, and im now slowly recovering. i’ve developed agoraphobia which has been terrible, but i’m trying every single day. i’ve even picked up yoga, and i keep going to a psychologist. yoga and walking are such a big and tough step for me, because it brings me to connect with my body in a deeper way. often times after a yoga session, i feel more anxious because i’m letting out the anxiety i was storing in my body. exercise is so hard for me because of all the physical sensations, and because of my fast heartbeat. i’m afraid i’ll faint at any moment, but yet it doesn’t happen. if you’re going through this, remember: your body is capable of healing, as is your mind. your body is totally capable of taking in all the anxiety and its symptoms without any risks for your health. anxiety is an EMOTION like sadness or happiness, it’s not dangerous!

Reading ur comment reminds me that I'm not crazy! I am the same way. I also avoid excersize or anything that could make my heart race. I won't even drink caffeine or eat or drink anything with too much sugar. It's completely out of control and I know this but Im scared!
I'm diagnosed with resistant hypertension disorder which means I have high blood pressure that even with medication just will not go down ...I'll be meeting with a cardiologist in about a month. So of course my anxiety makes it worse and have blood pressure issues makes my anxiety worse ...it's a disgusting circle. I am so tired ..and scared ...I just want to feel better

@@mscarmencitaM I’m so sorry you know the struggle, and I hope that your appointment goes great! Just remember that modern medicine is amazing, and very, very few things can’t be fixed nowadays. Have faith! I see you, and I understand you. I have an issue with sugar too, but it’s the opposite. I sometimes force myself to eat something sugary because I’m afraid of passing out for some weird reason related to low blood sugar (I don’t have diabetes or anything). We’re not crazy! Just anxious, and it can be fixed. I wish you so so much luck and happiness

@@ivebel3966 ty so much for ur words. I had a very bad one tonight,I thought for sure I was going to have a heart attack. The pain in my chest was so intense and I was drenched in sweat but cold at the same time I must've played this video like 6 times. I took all my night time meds and aspirin and just sat in bed taking breathes but almost locked if that makes sense like my body was locked. It was horrible. BUT I am proud of myself cuz as much as I wanted to call an ambulance,I didn't. And I'm glad cuz even tho almost 2 hrs later I'm still feeling the effects from the attack,it was just that... another panic attack. My local EMTs know me...and they're great, they always take care of me and treat me as if it was a cardiac issue JUST IN CASE but my EKGs are always fine Thank God! LOL 😂 I gotta laugh because the mind is a very powerful thing ,my God! But I'm getting stronger...it's crazy how I never really cared for meditating but now it's one of the only things that help. That, breathing and some of these videos. To be specific this video is one of the better ones, just wish it was longer cuz my panic attacks last pretty long sometimes.

@@mscarmencitaM i’m so so sorry, but i’m proud of you! it must have been terrible, but you still managed to push through it. the more you go on and are able to endure them, the more you prove yourself that you can do it, and that it’s only temporary and not harmful. yoga (especially before bed) really helps me. melts all the tension right off, and sets me up for a better day when i wake up. another tip is to list 3 things that went well today, it really helps to go to sleep with a happier mindset. i didn’t really believe in all these things, but it’s helped me enormously.
also, if it makes you feel better, i’m winning against my anxiety day after day, and so can you! today i had an exam for my drivers license (theory) and despite it being far from home (it freaked me out) i made it! i had a panic attack once i got there, and one when i was returning home, but i still did it, and i passed.
we can feel the fear and still make it, never forget it!

This is really great. Been dealing with a massive increase of skipped beats, probably due to perimenopause. I smiled when you said "a skipped beat here and there" because my "here and there" currently means a couple of times a minute as soon as I sit or stand (gets better with movement or lying down). But it's all cleared by doctors, so for anyone else getting thousands of skipped beats a day, let's allow our hearts to skip as many beats as it does. Gonna keep listening to this over and over ❤

    Brother,
I’ve recently discovered your channel. I’ve been practicing acceptance since last December, and seen lots of progress. I am currently in a rough setback. Lots of nocturnal panic attacks that have my cardiophobia through the roof (like tonight, hence why I’m on this particular video). Went back for another round of testing and awaiting all of the results (holter monitor, echocardiogram, calcium score, blood work). Assuming it will all be normal, which means I must continue living with acceptance. I’ve loved following your journey. It’s given me tons of hope. Thank you for your vulnerability. It’s life changing. I aspire to follow in your footsteps by getting through this, and showing others how to come out as well. Much love, brother.

I think your videos are so powerful because you really talk from experience. I send much courage to all of us to face our fears, we are all so brave and courageous. I personally had social paranoia for many years and nowadays struggle from insomnia. But I trust we can all heal by time. By the way, do you know about the enneagram? It's a theory that says that there are 9 different personality types. The 6 is the fear and anxiety oriented. It helps to realize that it is just a personality fixation and us, as Souls, are much more beyond this fear, we are not our fears and we are bigger than the fear. A good book: The Spiritual dimension of the enneagram.

I had diagnosed panic attacks with cardiophobia being the cause. And then one day I was trying to calm down from one and my head felt like it was going to pop and I lost consciousness and died. @@k.in97 they're different. A real heart attack won't go away, and the worst symptoms won't dissipate after 10 minutes, they'll continue and get worse. Pay attention to your health and go to the ER immediately if what you're experiencing is at all different from your normal panic or anxiety.

    • @anxiety_fitness

I'm sorry you had to go through that. With health anxiety when we attend various doctors, cardiologists frequently, there becomes a point where we need to believe them and accept a certain level of uncertainty, which is one of the purposes of this video. Unfortunately, we can never guarantee 100% certainty or safety, but we will learn to accept a certain level of uncertainty to allow us to live our lives without being constant fear. Interestingly, it sounds like what helped you in that moment was not the anxiety, but the amazing support of your partner. It's a horrible situation, and all I can say is that I am so happy that you are here and able to comment on this video! Definitely true if someone has a new symptom or is worried, then it's best to get checked, but eventually going to the doctor frequently can become a safety behaviour that reinforces anxiety, and we can do other actions that are inside of our control such as eating healthy and exercizing, rather than worrying about what we can't control. It's such a complex situation with many nuances, but I believe we can be okay!
