    I think you’re the best watercolor channel on TH-cam. I think you explain the behaviors of the medium the best. You don’t just show how to do something. You explain the WHY too. And thoroughly show visuals that show each step of what you’re explaining.

    I really love blooms, but most artists will tell you to avoid them, not show you how to make them! They really do add interest, texture, and even subtle shading. Personally, I think they're one of the most beautiful aspects of watercolors. If I wanted flat colors, I'd have chosen to learn oil or acrylics, after all. (:

    Thanks Louise for your video on blooms, how to create them. Now I know to wait for five minutes before dropping in water onto the paint that has lost its sheen. Very helpful video.

    As a young school art class student I failed terribly wc with holes in my paper. I had no direction, disappointment, I stuck to acrylic which I love. I am determined to give it a new start, 35 years later, I’ve learned so much in just a few if your videos. You are amazing. I’m painting a simple Koi, I am actually doing okay. Glad I found you!

    I'm still not a fan of blooms in figurative paintings, but I also still am a big fan of yours. Especially, those roses you showed were exquisitely portrayed oh my!! Absolutely delightful!

    Such an interesting effect. It really does add interest but doesn’t distract from the focal image. The sea turtle is a really fine piece! The shell is wonderfully realistic. The blooms in the watery background seem to add motion. Can’t wait to experiment a bit!

    Again Ive never noticed the blooms as such Louise. I mightbhave seen them in a painting and thought "how the heck did the artist do that"🤭🤭...one thing I am learning from watching your videos Louise is that 'acrylics are much more forgiving and dare I say easier!!'
