That goes for both men and women. It ain't just the guys. Some women look nothing like their 20-year old selves. Some are even twice the size now that they were in their 20s.
Chris Rock has been dishing out some serious dating & marriage advice lately. And people need to listen up because he's right. Marriages are definitely not as tough as people make them out to be. It is only hard for selfish people with Disney-level, unrealistic expectations. Most people know what they should be doing to make the marriage work- better or make their partners happier--getting people to accept that and actually do it without their ego getting in the way is the problem. Problem is that men most of the time play the tamborine and women sing lead and after 20 years of tamborine playing it just isn't as much fun anymore as singing lead. Especially when the lead singer is constantly telling the tamborine player that he is playing wrong.
Jesus this hits home. After 3 years in a relationship, after the initial crazy loved up year and a half of fucking and constantly going out to restaurants/bars it's become mundane as fuck and I don't know if that's just the path all relationships go down or if it's worth cutting the strings on this one
I think that’s what happens when you move too fast and put so much stock on the instantaneous satisfaction. Nowadays everyone wants the whole dish yesterday, but I think relationships need to be done slowly. The first thing you mentioned was sex, no character, connection, life vision, etc. Those are what make a relationship a good one, not, “Oh he or she is hot!”
"He’ll get his.” You know, some people never get theirs. Some people just fail up. People are like, “What goes around, comes around." No, it don’t. Sometimes, it’s just keeps goin’ around' - Chris Rock "Tambourine"
Too true. I dont get couples who compete against each other. Doesnt that defeat the object of tryna do things together. Yh ppl don't get the idea of serving each other in relationships I find sometimes these days. It ain't all about that one person.
You actually can move a couch easier with one person......You pick the couch up dead center, balance it on your head and walk. It's surprisingly not that hard and not heavy if you balance it and let your legs carry it.
I just noticed that his comedy seems **deliberately** unoffensive to women (it would have been easy to be derogatory); which, compared to Kat Williams and Dave Chapelle 👀
His jokes are funny at first. Then you realise that he was actually giving advise on what’s coming your way.
