Amazing that 10 years ago Turtle wax products were crap, on the discount shelves, and they made a fantastic turnaround. I love seal and shine and there other products. Have to try this.
Seriously! Turtle wax was lagging behind armor all..then Armor all was leaving stuff sub-par. Turtle wax is amazing now, especially their hybrid solutions line!

I think the value for money product has to be Soution Finish. I've done complete trims and even bumpers on 8 cars and still have a third of a bottle left! Great review. I must get some of the TW product, looks good.
I used this product over a year ago. My vehicle has been washed several times and the Turtle Wax trim restorer is still hanging in there. In my experience if you don’t use harsh degreasers or scrub the trim aggressively it will last for a long time. Super easy to apply.
Thanks Josh. You always dive deep and find the positives and limitations for each. Turtle Wax continues to innovate their offerings and up the qualities of their products. I really like their graphene line.
Thank you so much. I have a small comment on the cerakote wipes. I love them but... If you are almost done with an area and you need just a tiny bit then you have to open a waste the entire new towel. And because they are super saturated in the beginning they tend to leave a lot of product in the first portion of the application. I'm thinking that I will pair the cerakote as my main treatment and then maintain with the turtle....
I'm going to give this a try. I currently use 303 Aerospace which does a good job protecting plastic but doesn't restore black trim that is already faded.
FYI, just spoke to Turtle Wax rep. and he stated that it's not mandatory for 2nd. coat unless you didn't like results. Also, he said they recommend waiting 24hrs. for 2nd. coat of any "Hybrid Solutions products"
Good to know! on the directions on the bottle it says to wait 3 to 5 minutes for second coat... But regardless, I could see that not being necessary because it looked great after the first application!
Just an FYI on the Turtle Wax Graphene, if you get it on something you don't want it on, like your hands ;) it comes off very easily with isopropyl alcohol.
When you see both your favourite youtubers Pan The Organizer and ImjoshV, you know something magical is happening. I really like the Cerakote as well as my personal fave. Might have to wipe off a little but the gloss is fantastic!
Since plastic on my car is stained and faded unevenly, in my case the turtle wax inked product is the winer for me. Ceracoate product is durable and darkens up the plastic really good, but it’s acting like clear coat so you still can see color unevenness through it.

All of these products are great, but the trim on my truck is a darker gray so anything with a dye in it is a no go. Cerakote Trim Coat is amazing and my go to trim restore/protection product.
Solution Finish is also available in a grey version. But I have also used the original black solution finish on grey trim many times without any issues and it also looks nice.

On your customers vehicles do you use the wash and dry method prior to applying the ceracoat? Or use another product to remove any remaining residue like a panel prep? Is this an up charge service beyond a exterior clean service package?
I can get a 20 year old bottle of Armor All to work well. It's all about longevity. Can't make any definitive choices without knowing how long they last

Which is better between Turtle Wax and Cerakote? I just bought the Cerakote. I do like Turtle Wax products. They've done an excellent job. I'd like to see a comparison between Turtle Wax Graphene, Gloss Envy and Dual Polymer Waterless Car Wash. That be interesting.
On my MINI trim I use ITALIAN brand labocosmetica Hydra it works good and to give it even more protection from rain I go over it with turtel wax seal and shine with a soft sponge and just leave to dry.
The trim on my older GMC Canyon truck is a dark GREY. I want a product that restores THAT color, hence the unsuitability of the tinted black TW & SF product. CeraCoat accomplishes exactly what I wanted. After full prep of plastic trim surfaces, I wiped it on WITHOUT a wipedown of first coat, let it dry overnight, then using a new wipe, evenly coated same surfaces again. It dried to a great glossy sheen with a bit of desired darkening......Never tried ANY of the competition; I don't need to with CeraCoat's results like what I obtained.....
I just used the tw trim restorer. I didn't like it one bit. Was messy, coverage was streaky. Ends up like plastiDip. I was peeling it off my glove. Now I gotta peel it all off the bottle
You are a Cerakote user so of course it will be the easiest. Solutions Finish is easy if you are familiar with it. And the same with the other products Regardless of reading the instructions, you know each product has a bit of finesse to it and the more familiar you are the easier you get with its nuances.
Cerakote seems to be a very good product but I have had a lot of bad luck with packets. When you go to use them, some of the packets have leaked and the wipes are bone dry.
Hey josh after applying these, we’re any slick to the touch? Thinking for running boards on a truck, but don’t want it to be slick. Or what do you use for running boards?
Once they dried or had an itial buff off they all felt just like the natural plastic. But ill make sure to look at that in more detail on the update video!
I have not tried these but have tried others and they ALL have the same issue. They streak after it rains. They look great in dry weather but, after a rain, they look terrible. So my question to you is, have you tested in rain on any of these? Thanks..jc
Really nice video! I've always been a cerakote fan, but I am intrigued by the 303. Personally not a fan of the dyed products, b/c I know I'm clumsy. Can't wait to see an update on how the 303 does
For the price there are 10(?) wipes in the Cerakote box. They have a bottle of Trim Coat that is around $50. Thats the same product right? I havent used either but it seems like you get way more product for the money with the bottle. Like 50 times more product vs convenience of 10 prepackaged wipes. Im thinking about getting the bottle and since I have used the wipes or bottle Im checking if my comparison of the two is correct.
One thing I know from testing is we had poor luck with the first graphine products on paint... BUT they worked very well on plastic, graphine seams to have a great affinity for plastic of all kinds Let's see how these survive
Fun fact this turtle wax trip restorer is not new at all. In fact it was discontinued for years. When i bought my first car about 15 years ago my father gave me an already old green bottled turtle wax product i bealve called trim renewer or something. It was the same black paing like product and after applied multiple coats and than buffed with a micro fiber towel it mad the old plastic like new. I still have that car although i dont use it and plastic still looks very nice. So i highly doubt there is anything new in the bottle but if its the old stuff it couldnt be any better!
Good review. I disagree on your value assessment of the turtle wax vs the solution finish. You said you could get at least 2-3 cars out of the turtle wax. Even if you get 10, i'm fairly certain I can get AT LEAST 20 cars out of a bottle of solution finish. Probably more like 40-50, that stuff is almost infinitely spreadable.
Hi Joe. I've said pretty much the same in my comment up top. I've done eight saloons and transporters and still have a third of a bottle left. I was very liberal with the stuff too. Value for money has to go to Solution Finish.
Let's face it. For the finish as it sits at first----the tw is the best for the money. The real test is if this guy left the car alone for a couple months and we got to see what's going on then.
Any idea how the Turtle Wax would do on non-glossy pillars. By non-glossy I mean mine are the flat black but now, being eight years old they look weather beaten....
I bought this stuff. Works good but leaves a residue behind on the fenders that I just don’t like. I’ve been using meguiars natural shine on my interior dash and doors. Love this stuff. For shits and giggles I tried it out on the jeep fenders and bumpers. WOW. They came out fantastic and it’s been a week since application and they still look amazing even after a couple of rain spells. Using this from now on. One bottle to the inside and outside. Simple.
Excuse my ignorance but I am looking to protect a brand new vehicle plastic body panels parts and trim (KIA Telluride), the items don't have a shiny finish and definitely don't need any "restoration." Can you please advise or point me to the correct video? Thanks

The 303 bottle feels half empty when you buy it, so I made a video measuring the fluid inside. th-cam.com/video/Lc7fV-zxeEw/w-d-xo.html
BUT they worked very well on plastic, graphine seams to have a great affinity for plastic of all kinds
Let's see how these survive
Stoners also brought out a trim restorer! Seems like many Companies are producing trim restorers!
Yea its good to see we have options!
Stoners usually do the best detailing, they just take a little longer.😎
Couldn’t resist.✌🏼
I would be surprised if the Turtle Wax product lasts as long as Solution Finish. If it even comes close, Turtle Wax is a no Brainer.
With these products do you have to tape off the areas since most plastics run right along the contours of the actual car paint?
What do you recommend for new trim, the Cerakote?
I wonder which one lasted the longest
The turtle wax graphic sera coat is good to have a pair need to were gloves
I use an awesome cleaner to prep surfaces called Chemical Guys Invincible Super Cleaner. Just sharing what works for me.
Just wondering, can you use this on rubber as well or is there a separate product for this?
Let's face it. For the finish as it sits at first----the tw is the best for the money. The real test is if this guy left the car alone for a couple months and we got to see what's going on then.
Thanks!
You bet!
Would this product work on door panels that are fading (very uneven I might add)?? 2000 Silverado base model.
Are they slippery? Could you use them on plastic ‘step bars’?
does this any of this stuff work on more a vinyl style window molding/trim?
Any idea how the Turtle Wax would do on non-glossy pillars. By non-glossy I mean mine are the flat black but now, being eight years old they look weather beaten....
Ever try the lithium cubes?
Josh have you tried meguiars trim restorer ?
Thanks
Will this product restore a faded Spoiler on a CRV
