i think most of us simply want a review of the product ie. to see it on your lips, how long it lasts, etc. I don't necessarily want a diatribe regarding the new box, font, or container. I have limited time to watch and just want to cut to the chase. Hopefully, this critique is taken as helpful, as it was meant, rather than unkind.

I used to love KVD products so much, the quality was great and their aesthetic was to die for. Now they’re trying to go for this minimalistic/luxe feel combined with the gothic/dark vibe of the original brand and it’s just terrible. They’re clearly trying to rebrand while keeping some old visual elements but it clashes so bad. The brand used to have an identity and now it’s just.. meh, whatever. As you said, it looks odd and confusing, like you don’t really understand what they were trying to go for, or what the concept of the product is.
I think they should’ve just stuck with the old aesthetic, or if they wanted to completely rebrand, they should’ve just scrapped it entirely and start with something new. Their old lipsticks used to look so unique and now it looks like some cheap lipgloss tube from the drugstore.

I agree with it “having no soul” I don’t even look at KVD products anymore since Kat left.. I leaned more toward the dark tones and I gotta admit Kat’s designs always caught my attention.. I loved them.. now it all feels so cheap, basic and like you said, souless ): RIP Kat von d beauty..
Yeah. It’s a shame they couldn’t bring in a new artist with a similar style
I don't need my lipstick to have a soul. I'm glad it's not a smooth tube as it won't roll off the table.
Not meant to be negative, but I gave up on trying to watch this. For me, it was a lot more information about the company/branding/your opinions on the company's decisions than I was willing to listen to in order to hear whether or not KVD was worth trying.
I haven't tried this lipstick and probably still will but I agree, why get rid of a dependable formula? The original everlasting liquid lip was my go-to lipstick and I"m having to slowly find replacements for the shades and the long lasting wear. Very frustrating they are changing it, ABH and Black Moon have been the best replacements so far.
Yeah very frustrating!! Haven’t tried Black Moon yet but I have several ABH lipsticks - I like the formula for longevity but it feels heavy on the lips
Have you already tried the Catrice's Matte Pro Ink? They haven't a large variety of colors, but they could be a good alternative (and really affordable!)
i like the old packaging as well, the new one looks bland and just any lipstick
Dear me what a a load of waffle. Not wearing the packaging!!! Over 8 minutes to even try it on. Droll.
