    After recording I swiped off the lipstick and reapplied it. The amount of product that is on the applicator can cover my whole lips, but it won't give me full pigmentation and intensity of color plus I have to be quick. So I still need 3-4 "doses". The main cause of it is super fast drying, which is cool, but annoying when I want to apply this lipstick in a let's say pedantic way.
    Anyway I was wearing it for a few hours and meanwhile I was only drinking different types of tea.
    I don't know if this is the issue with lipstick or so many layers that I needed to cover my lips (or more like I needed, because the product dries so fast), but don't try to rub your lips (even lip rubbing) - the lipstick will crumble. I suspect the issue is in a thick layer, because I have a similar issue with older formula when accidentally I apply too much.
    The lipstick feels on the lips like the old formula, but it is more comfortable because the lips do not feel dry. The lipstick didn't transfer on my cup.
    And basically that's it.
    If you have any questions about the lipstick and/or liquid contour, let me know.

      Sorry, but tutorial of this particular eye makeup is reserved for the channel members Normally I wouldn't do tutorial of a makeup I used for quick test or review, but since I have membership - this is one of the perks.
      And as a regular content on the channel, I still have plans for 2 Christmas and 2 New Year's Eve makeup.
      Plus of course you can find plenty other makeup looks (including silver ones) from the last year or even older ones on my channel :)

    Oooefff, thank you for taking the hit with that modcon... The amount of times I read something is supposed to be cooltoned and still is straight up orange!!! 😮‍💨🙄 I actually use a single eyeshadow by Kiko as my contour powder (high pigment 90) but i'm not sure if they still have it 😰 Anyways, I saw you had a video about their holiday collection so i'll go watch that one now 🖤🖤🖤

      The best cool-toned product for contouring in my collection is either NYX blush in shade Taupe or GlamShop cream bronzer in shade Cream Contoru (it's the one I showed in the video). The lightest shade of Modcon isn't straight orange, but it's for sure not cool-toned

    Very interesting seeing you work with the liquid contour. The lipstick looks beautiful on you. Love your eye makeup.

      I would prefer liquid contour with formula more like concealer or foundation. On the one hand it's good that this one isn't sooo pigmented, but on the other hand I think this is the reason why it's uneven while built up. I have to test it more, because I don't want to believe it is a not good product. Maybe it just need other approach.
      Good to know that you like this eye makeup. I needed this confirmation

    Yay! I have been waiting to see a review of the lipstick by someone who knows and love the old formula 😊 I love the old ones a lot cause I own 5 regulars plus 16 of the minies (there's a lot in them for being mini sized). It's good to know that the new is felling like the same on the lips, cause it's one of my absolute fave liquid lipstick formula 😊
    I've started to use the old one as liquid blush (I mix with concealer or foundation) to use them and enjoy them before they go bad 🙂

    • @EwaMakeupArtist
      @EwaMakeupArtist  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have 10 regular size and 9 minies + 2 unopened in stock. And from my experience I can tell you they don't go bad quickly. (Don't even ask how old some of them are, but I'll just say that to say they are 2 years old is like saying nothing )
      As long as you keep them away from the heat e.g. not in full sun in the summer, well tightened so that they are tightly closed - everything should be ok :D

      @@EwaMakeupArtist Yeah I know, it's actually crazy how long they last 🙉 I got my first one called Mother (and I got it from my mother 😄) a long time ago... maybe in 2017 or 2018 🙈 And I still use it even though it doesn't have the sweet scent anymore... doesn't smell bad at all though.
      I got the Too Faced Melted Matte liquid lipstick Queen B and it lasted 2 years before it went bad, which was sad cause it was a great color and formula. But then it really says something about how great the KVD ones are ☺

    • @EwaMakeupArtist
      @EwaMakeupArtist  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The first symptom of spoilage of a cream or liquid product, contrary to appearances, is not the smell, most often it is delamination. Of course, not always, e.g. some foundations are clearly dedicated to shake them before use, because the ingredients could separate from each other by simple sedimentation, but if it never happened before and suddenly it started to happen, it is a signal that the product is aging.
      Besides, the expiration date (e.g. 12 or 24 months) in the case of cosmetics does not mean that the product is not to be used later, but that the producer washes his hands of it. Just in case, however, if someone gets an allergic reaction, then they can't sue the brand. It would be hard if, for example, talc would age, which is a rock
      When working with clients, obviously it is better to be sure than sorry, but if it's for personal use, I don't see a problem with someone using a 10-year-old eye palette or lipsticks that are several years old :D

    Just this week KVD came out eitj the Wolfsbane shade of the Hyperlight liquid lip, it might be a little closer to the old Echo shade, or maybe closer to the limited edition Bruno shade.

    • @EwaMakeupArtist
      @EwaMakeupArtist  ปีที่แล้ว

      In theory. It looks quite purple on swatches. Bruno had metallic finish. Maybe it is more similar to Bruno tho. Until I check it it's hard to say. But I won't test it soon anyway. Until it appears in some retailer from which it is easier for me to buy, there is nothing to talk about. I don't buy from KVD regularly, I won't pay shipping and customs for one lipstick :p
      Thanks for the info

    Love this blue.. seem more like cobalt blue.. and yes the cream contuor looks uneven.

    • @EwaMakeupArtist
      @EwaMakeupArtist  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's close to cobalt, but has some teal undertones. It's like with some red lipsticks - the first swipe sometimes it's more raspberry. With this one the first thin layer has something greenish in it.
      With liquid contour, I think it need different approach. I don't want to cross it off just yet.

    I definitely miss the old liquid lips as well. The colours were so much fun and the new ones just don't look the same. The old ones also wear very well. Definitely going to hold onto what I got left of the old stuff.

    • @EwaMakeupArtist
      @EwaMakeupArtist  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I even like this newer formula and they even add new more crazy colors like purple and swampy green, but it's still they have a long way ahead to get to the point they were with the old lipsticks. Like imagine they only recently added black lipstick! When this shade should have been one of the first!

      In general I am not really sure if I like the direction this brand is going. Discontinuing iconic products, changing the formula, introducing products that no one really cares about. It's all weird. I recently heard that they changed not only the Tattoo Liner packaging, but also its formula. I don't know, I haven't tried, I have a stock and I want to try some from other brands, but KVD definitely isn't what it used to be. I still hope tho that they will eventually launch something crazy and interesting. New more gothic/punk colors of lipsticks are a good start.

      @@EwaMakeupArtist I think it’s because the brand still carries Kat’s name but she has nothing to do with it anymore. Kinda weird they would keep the brand going but yah. It would explain why it went in a more “basic” direction

    • @EwaMakeupArtist
      @EwaMakeupArtist  ปีที่แล้ว

      C'est la vie. It's not the first time brands discontinue something iconic or something I love (for example KVD Shade&Light Eye Contour Palette, Nabla Dreamy 2, Soul Blooming and Cutie Coral palettes, Nabla's 4 (?) different types of bullet lipsticks and single bronzers. It's not even sad anymore. It's annoying :/

    I just ordered the newly released shade Wolfsbane, and they describe it as an intense blue-purple, so maybe this could be a better dupe than the cobalt shade?? Hoping it fits better for you 🤞

    • @EwaMakeupArtist
      @EwaMakeupArtist  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I know this shade is available, but it's more similar to old Bruno shade. For sure it's way too purple and too vibrant. Echo is a wonderful balance between a hint of violet, blue and gray, in its own way it could be described as taupe. But chill, I already left comment on the company's Instagram that they could restore this color in a new formula. They said they share it with their team :p
      For now, I'm not planning to buy this shade anyway even if it appears on the website (not to mention that I'm in no rush to order from the States, pay for shipping and taxes, so unless the shade appears at the local retailer, I rather won't order it soon) but it would be nice to know that I can just use my Echo and wear it out without the fear of having nothing in its place.

      Normally I would agree, but not with Echo shade. I just love it the way it is. It's sooo perfect. Absolutely my favourite shade of the lipstick and just can imagine to change it in any way even to do ombre. I hate the fact I can't find any dupe of it.

    Cool tone my a$s... That's a bronzer... I would look like an oompa loompa for sure🌝 I bought a greige eyeshadow to contour, so there goes nothing🤣🤣🤣🤣 we need real cool tone shades!

    • @EwaMakeupArtist
      @EwaMakeupArtist  ปีที่แล้ว

      NYX blush in shade Taupe or GlamShop cream bronzer in shade Cream Contoru - these two are cool-toned for me, yet still not grey or like a bruise. Although I have to admit that some taupe eyeshadows are great for contouring plus many times I used just grey, but I applied it only on strategic point on bronzer.
      This shade I would say it's neutral. It isn't truly warm, but it of course will depend on thr skin tone and color. For me it's something between contouring and bronzer, and in the new video (and the one I'll publish tomorrow) it's even ok as contouring and bronzer in the same time, but I still like to use some cool-toned shades just for contour.
