I know the more "neutral" shades sell more, but when NYX is trouncing you for color options, and the KVD brand used to have lots of fun colors, it's stupid to go so tame! The brand has really become very much just like every other brand, sucking all of the fun they used to have out of the brand. I get trying to put more distance between the brand and Kat Von D, but there's a tipping point.
Same has happened to Urban decay! Like their Electric palette? A effing icon, but they haven't come out ANYTHING as interesting in years. Also odd/fun colored lipsticks are almost all gone out of their ranges.
@@Houndsunite Everything that I've seen, Urban Decay fell off due to inconsistent quality and weird collaborations, and KVD fell off more due to Kat Von D drama more than anything else. Plenty of people wear the "fun" colors regularly and lots of people buy them for events or as aspirational purposes. They aren't every day staples for most people but they still sell.
They have a blue lipstick that came out. They kept showing all the nudes but they came out with an orange to replace aGo GO and that’s the one I want. I think they have a hot pink too so hopefully they will bring back all of the fun colors. I can’t believe they didn’t do a black on first launch especially so close to Halloween 🎃 I have all of the original liquid lips and bullet lipsticks still!!😬😬😬

Thanks for the comparison! I love using the original formula with a lip balm so it’s more comfortable but still very pigmented and mostly matte/transferproof. They’re my favorite liquid lipstick to do that with because a small amount of product has so much pigment, it really works. With the patchiness of the first shade you showed of the new line, less pigment, and the texture you described, I’m gonna pass on it
I'm glad the new formula doesnt suck. Berlin was one of my fav colors and I couldn't find a dupe for it, they claim one of the new ones is the same color so I think I'll try it out. The formula sounds like it's similar to the kaleidos lipsticks
Honestly I prefer this new packaging since it’s not a circle it’s less likely to slide around on a table and it’s minimalistic while the old one was more juvenile, but just personal preference
I remember Underage Red was also controversial. She told the story of it's name and being a red lover bought 5 of them on Mercari for 20 bucks🥰 Oh man, I got 2 if the Vampira shades on Mercari, too. I'm gonna be so sad when I use them up.

The color that you're looking for the vampira would be in the new shade called Midnight Phlox, I still have mine that's probably close to 4 years old but I absolutely love that shade and I wish I had the money to buy the new one but broke right now

I don't know how many original KVD products you have but it would be awesome to see like even KVD eyeliner vs KVD Vegan Beauty also the old vs new mascara because the old mascara because you can't get it is worth a lot of money so apparently it's not the same formula. I sold most of my original KVD products because they were selling for so much like a liquid eyeliner sold for $30 all day they even have a water line one that also the same. If you have a lot of products from each brand I would love to see all of it. Thats one brand which is the original KVD, every item I tried from them was absolutely fantastic.
I have the new shade that supposed to be Vampira and tbh OG Vampira is way darker. The new one doesn’t even have the gold sheen reflects when it dries down like blood. 😭🤧 it’s still a pretty color tho!
I just got the black Briar from KVD ! Can’t wait to try it ! I bought it at Ultra Beauty! They carry it ! Even Sephora does as well ! The good thing they have local stores!

I don't like how Maybeline's liquid lips dry down.. but they look great. La Colors liquid lips are fine enough for me when doing drag. I have used JStar and SugarPill and they all kind of feel the same to me. I did get a few lip samplers from KatVonD way back when for my birthday and they were really nice.
